Chapter 23 - A Strange Plate & Taming Roaring Moon!

After gaining more ghost pokemon I went back to bed until the morning before letting all the pokemon out to meet the new members and make breakfast from Berry made Poffins for everyone to enjoy.

Though excluding Whirlipede, Who was still hibernating in their Pokeball to evolve, and Roaring Moon as I'm not sure they will listen to me so it best to keep them in forced hibernation and it's not like what it ate would be processed so quickly in the first place.

Soon enough we were done and everyone went to work, several pokemon went out to forage more Berrys while others stayed in the cave to work on makings a second tunnel, this one leading straight to the Grasslands or scouring the nearby area to see if their are any potential threats to our home.

"Skree!" Though while I was thinking about where I could find some strong pokemon to help build our future home I heard the screeching sounds of the Durants as they came out of their ant colony hole.

"Hmm? You found something?" I asked seeing them come over with one carrying something in its mandibles.

I knelt down and grabbed it and felt a bit confused at what I saw, "It's…. An Iron Plate?" I couldn't help but say as I looked at the plate in my hand.

It was just the name says, an Iron Plate shaped like a square that was slightly bigger than my hand, what was weird was that this Plate didn't look like it was forged at all, it looks like it was always an Iron Plate.

"Could it be….?" I asked myself before shaking my head as that wouldn't make sense.

I'm under the assumption that Arceus, the creator god of the Pokemon Universe, was the one that brought me into this world gave me the system and the way to breed with pokemon to spark the rise of the future of humanity as a whole with me being this worlds 'Adam' as a result.

If that's true then this 'shouldn't' be the [Iron Plate] I'm thinking of as that [Iron Plate] would allow Arceus to get the Steel Typing when held by Arceus in particular.

And while Arceus can be both male or female depending upon the situation I highly doubt I need to breed Arceus as God, Mythical and Legendary Pokemon aren't needed to progress the system.

I mean there are no quests for breeding those grades of pokemon so there's no need to do so, though there are quests for capturing one of at least each in those three categories for unknown rewards, but the Breeding system doesn't count them towards that goal with their being 420-430 Pokemon family's lines in total excluding them.

(A/N I originally thought it was 500, but then I realized that was not excluding the Legendary/Mythical Pokemon into that count which are between 80-100 different pokemon who fit those types, Ultra Beasts aren't excluded though)

'Though…. That doesn't mean their aren't a few I wouldn't mind getting it on with.' I couldn't help but think to myself as a few of the legendary/mythical pokemon I found smashable even back in my old life at that.

"Skree?" The Durants looked confused while I was lost in thought before I went and patted their heads.

"Thanks for this, I'll hold onto this for now." I say before putting it away in my inventory and left it be while the Durants just smiled before heading back to their slowly growing colony.

Though after putting it in my inventory nothing happened, the system didn't say anything, though when I pulled it up in my inventory I looked at it.

[Strange Iron Plate]: Helps a certain Pokemon in battle, Effects unknown when held by others.

'It really is that [Iron Plate] then, but would I ever meet Arceus in this world? And if by then that happened would that be me leaving this world?' I thought to myself while I thought back on my old life while I looked at this new body of mine.

'Even if I some how returned nobody would recognize me anyway, maybe I would be flung into the future during the events of the pokemon games or maybe the early eras of pokemon in general.' I thought some more before I decided to shelved that for later as I pulled out one pokeball in particular that was locked in their pokeball.

It was none other than Roaring Moon, so I headed outside to see Tinkatuff hammering away at her forge with the help of Heatmor and Rolycoly letting Larvesta go and wonder the mountains again for a hotspot, or make their own.

"Tinkatuff, I will need your help." I say as she stops hammering some Durant metal to look over at me.

"Tink?" (You need my help?)

"Yeah, I'm going to let out Roaring Moon and try to tame them since there's a chance that they might attack me and your the best bet to keeping them in line." I said to her.

Pokémon aren't automatically tamed when pulled into a Pokeball, you do win a pokemons recognition through battle most of the time, but exceptions to that are viscous pokemon who are known for attack humans and pokemon for no real reason and Paradox Pokemon, and Roaring Moon was both so I needed help.

"Tink Tink!" (Just leave it to me then!) She said as she hefted up her massive hammer and came with me as we went deeper into the jungle away from the Grasslands.

"Get ready." I said as Tinkatuff readied her Hammer before I unlocked Roaring Moon's Pokeball before letting them out.

While Roaring Moon had rested inside of the pokeball they hadn't healed themselves, or should I say herself as I could finally see what she was missing between her legs.

"….." She slowly lifted herself up while I readied my spear while Tinkatuff held her hammer tightly.

"….. Krrryyysssshhhhaaaa…." However instead of the loud cry of anger, all I heard was the long drawn out cry before she collapsed once again with no strength to get up.

"Tink?" (I don't think she can fight?) Tinkatuff said confused while I put my spear away before cautiously approaching Roaring Moon.

"Krrrysh…." She growled but didn't move or react to my approach before I knelt down beside her and reached out before rubbing my hands gently over her wings.

"No broken bones from what I can see, that's good, though I don't have much in the way of healing but I do have some things that can slowly get you back to health." I say pulling out a a Razz Berry and fed it to Roaring Moon.

Though not her most preferred food she still ate it and felt herself get better as a result.

I stroked her head and neck to keep her calm and luckily it worked.

I could say I have 'somewhat' tamed Roaring Moon, but I knew more things were on my list of what needed to be done.

I needed to find a pokemon with healing moves along with several strong pokemon to help build my future house and Pokemon village for everyone to live in the near future.
