Two black threads?
Aiden's pupils suddenly shrank. He knew this illusion was even more real and more dangerous than before.
He wasn't sure if the mysterious map fragment in his chest was really sensing other fragments nearby, or if this was just another illusion.
Aiden took a deep breath and his brain worked quickly. He remembered when the first illusion happened—white fog, someone calling his name.
Then came the second one, that extremely sexy Miko.
"The illusions in this white fog must be created based on my thoughts."
"Sure, I can't be careless. Even the map fragment is trying to trick me."
Aiden slowly closed his eyes. He communicated with Faye inside his pet space, telling her to get ready.
Then he bent his head slightly and looked at the black threads on his wrists.
Without hesitation, he quietly said, "Faye."
