Chapter 77 - A Sightseeing Tour

They didn't need Domino's reminder—both Karl and Smoker had already put their gas masks back on.

"Major General Karl… are you touring Impel Down?" Magellan asked.

"Yes," Karl replied with a smile.

"It'll take some time to load the prisoners onto the transport ship. I'm not the type who can just sit still, so I asked Miss Domino to show us around."

Magellan thought for a moment.

"Strictly speaking, that's not exactly by the book… but it's not unacceptable either. That said, the next two levels hold extremely dangerous criminals."

"Domino alone might not be able to keep them in check. How about I take over and guide you from here?"

Domino's eyes widened immediately.

Absolutely not!

This was a once-in-a-lifetime chance to spend time alone with the World's Most Handsome Marine, and this poison-belching warden wanted to steal her spotlight?

"W-Warden, are you sure your body is alright?" she said quickly.

"Why don't I continue instead?"

Magellan scratched his head. She had a point. His stomach had never followed any predictable schedule, and if he… lost control in front of a Marine Headquarters major general…

"Grrr–glurururu…"

His stomach rumbled again.

Magellan's face changed instantly.

Oh no. Not now.

Karl couldn't help but laugh softly.

"Warden Magellan," he said calmly,

"why don't you let me give it a try?"

He gathered a ball of Holy Light in his palm and gently sent it into Magellan's body.

In an instant, Magellan felt a warm current flow through his abdomen. The sharp twisting pain vanished, replaced by a rare sense of comfort.

"Sss—"

"T-This is…?" Magellan's eyes widened.

As the user of the Venom-Venom Fruit, Magellan's entire body constantly produced poison. Even the food he ate became toxic, which was exactly why he suffered from chronic, violent diarrhea.

Karl's Holy Light had forcibly purged the poisonous residue from his system.

In other words—temporary relief.

"My ability has healing properties," Karl explained.

"Poisoning is just another form of injury. You're cured for now."

Magellan's eyes sparkled.

"Amazing… truly amazing!"

"Major General Karl, even if this relief is temporary, I'm deeply grateful!"

If it weren't for the risk of his poisonous breath overwhelming the gas mask's filter, Magellan might've grabbed Karl's hands on the spot.

"Well," Karl said casually,

"since you're feeling better now, how about you show us the remaining levels—Freezing Hell and Eternal Hell?"

"Of course!" Magellan answered at once.

Level Five – Freezing Hell

This level held pirates with bounties exceeding 100 million Beli.

If Level Four was a boiling pot, then Level Five was a massive freezer.

White stretched endlessly in every direction. Bone-chilling cold seeped into everything.

Thankfully, Karl's Holy Light shielded them; otherwise, even he would've shivered.

"Don't go near the forest over there," Magellan warned.

"That's where we keep large numbers of Blugori War Wolves."

"Don't be fooled by their size. They're far more vicious than the beasts in Level Two."

"Any prisoner who attempts to escape here will either freeze to death… or be torn apart alive."

Magellan normally disliked such open, brightly lit environments.

But today, he was in a good mood—and that made all the difference.

Smoker caught a snowflake in his palm and muttered,

"Yeah… in weather like this, not just your body—your fighting spirit freezes too."

"Warden Magellan," Karl said,

"let me see the prisoners here. If I'm not mistaken, a few old acquaintances of mine should be on this level."

A few months earlier, Karl had captured two pirate captains with bounties over 100 million. He hadn't killed them—only wiped out their crews and chopped off one of their arms.

Judging by their bounties, they should be here.

"Recently transferred inmates?" Magellan said.

"Names?"

"Steel Fang Fizz and Evilfire Trett."

Magellan rubbed his chin.

"Ah… yes. They were sent here last month. Should be… Cell 5047."

He led them over and pointed inside.

"Those two should be them. Take a look."

Wearing only thin prison uniforms, Fizz and Trett huddled in the corner, shivering uncontrollably.

The moment they recognized Magellan, terror flashed in their eyes and they shrank back.

"That's them," Karl nodded.

At the sound of that familiar voice, the two pirates exchanged a glance—resentment burning in their eyes.

"It's YOU!" Fizz suddenly roared, using every ounce of strength he had.

"You bastard! You're the reason I'm stuck in this hellhole! If you've got guts, kill me already, you Marine trash—!"

He'd had enough. Compared to this endless torment, death sounded merciful.

Repenting for his crimes?

Never.

If he regretted anything, it was running into Karl—the devil in Marine uniform.

"Shut your mouth, scum," Magellan snapped coldly.

"Keep talking and you'll learn what truly living hell is."

That only fueled Fizz further.

"Come on! Kill me, then!" he screamed hysterically.

Magellan snorted and raised a finger, clearly about to act—

—but Karl stopped him.

"Forget it, Warden. Wouldn't killing him be letting him off easy?"

Karl tilted his head, looking thoughtful.

"How about cutting off his remaining arm?"

"…No, better not. He needs hands to eat."

"Ah, then how about we just castrate him? It's not like he'll be needing it."

Magellan stared at Karl, eyes wide.

Good grief… even Satan would want your face tattooed on his back.

Thank heavens Karl wasn't stationed at Impel Down—or Magellan would've resigned on the spot.

"Haha, just kidding," Karl laughed lightly.

"No need to get so tense."

Silence fell.

Everyone present shared the same thought:

Confirmed. Absolute menace.

After a brief tour, Magellan led them back to the elevator and descended to the deepest level of all—

Level Six – Eternal Hell

No extreme heat.

No bitter cold.

No elaborate tortures.

Only thick chains… and damp, lightless cells.

Once imprisoned here, sunlight was gone forever.

The inmates here were either sentenced to death or eternal imprisonment.

More precisely, these were monsters of the past—so dangerous that history itself had tried to erase them.

Nearly every prisoner on this level was a legendary criminal.

"Hehehe… Magellan,"

a hoarse laugh echoed from a cell to the side.

"Have you come to visit me?"

Magellan didn't even look at him.

"Shut up, Shiryu," he said coldly.

"I don't have time for you."
