"Savage Death Rewind? Then let me see how savage it really is!"
Even after losing both arms, Dano's combat power was still terrifying. He kicked Zayne into the air, then leapt upward himself, swinging a brutal roundhouse kick that smashed Zayne down like a cannonball.
Boom!
Dust exploded outward as Dano followed up, stomping hard onto Zayne's body.
As a level 50 berserker, even without using any skills, every punch and kick he threw was enough to be fatal to a level 16 Zayne.
"Kid, you are still too young. One of the biggest taboos in combat is revealing your trump cards to an enemy who can still fight."
"Even without my arms, I, Dano, am not someone you can deal with. Let me see how many years of life you have to dodge fatal blows!"
Bang bang bang bang!
This time, Dano showed no mercy. Every stomp was aimed at Zayne's head and heart.
The Life and Death Bind Bracelets on Zayne's wrists began to glow, repairing his injuries, but the healing speed could not keep up with Dano's destruction.
Just as half his wounds recovered, Dano's attacks came crashing down again.
Under Dano's storm of violence, Zayne's body was quickly trampled into a mangled mess of flesh and blood, mixed with white bone fragments, a horrifying sight.
The Life and Death Bind Bracelets were still glowing, but they could no longer repair Zayne's body.
Dano finally let out a breath, drenched in sweat.
He had inflicted at least hundreds of fatal injuries on Zayne. No matter what, he should be dead by now. There was no way Zayne still had two hundred more years of life to burn.
Panting, Dano stepped away, the pain from his severed arms making him suck in cold breaths.
"Damn it. Forbidden Spellcasters are way too freakish. No wonder they die young. Serves them right."
Dano cursed under his breath. Getting both arms cut off was already humiliating enough. If word got out, his reputation as the underground king would be completely ruined.
No one would dare say anything to his face, but behind his back, who knew what they would say.
The thought made him even more irritated. Just then, a chill crept up his spine.
Dano spun around.
A streak of starlight flashed by.
A muscular leg flew high into the air.
Dano froze, standing there on one leg, staring at Zayne in a daze, disbelief written all over his face.
He had not expected Zayne to still be alive. The shock was so great that he temporarily forgot the pain of losing his leg.
"Surprised? I lied to you. You are too young. How can you believe what your enemy says?"
Zayne grinned.
With both arms gone and one leg severed, there was no way Dano could still win with only one leg left.
Before Zayne could finish the thought, it happened.
Bang!
Dano smashed his head forward, slamming a brutal headbutt into Zayne and sending his vision spinning.
This time, however, Dano did not follow up. Instead, he turned and fled, hopping away on his single remaining leg.
Fear flashed in Dano's eyes.
He was genuinely terrified.
Zayne was like an unkillable cockroach. If this dragged on, with only one leg left, Dano might really die here.
"Trying to run?"
"Forbidden Spell Everfrost Gaze!"
Zayne sacrificed his eyeballs. Darkness swallowed his vision, and in the final instant before losing sight, he glanced at Dano's last remaining leg.
Dano had barely hopped a few steps before frost rapidly formed along that leg, ice crystals spreading upward until his entire body was frozen solid.
"No! No!"
Dano struggled desperately, but with no arms and no spare leg, he had no way to break free.
When Zayne's vision returned, he lifted Starfall Skytrace and walked toward Dano. The blade's tip scraped against the ground, clinking sharply and throwing sparks.
"Talk. Where is Mr. Ward?"
Before coming here, Zayne had searched many places and found no trace of Blake. He was clearly being held somewhere secret.
Dano clenched his teeth and stayed silent.
Zayne said nothing. He snapped his fingers, and a streak of purple red flame fell to the ground, incinerating Dano's left arm into ash.
"No!"
Dano's eyes went wide in horror.
If he could keep his severed limbs and find a healing specialist, there was still a chance to recover. But once the limb was completely gone, there was no hope.
Those who could regenerate limbs were not people Dano could ever reach. Zayne had just cut off his last escape route.
"From now on, you will be One Armed Dano," Zayne said calmly.
"You!" Dano's eyes burned red with rage. "If I tell you, will you really let me live?"
"Dano, Dano. You know me. I like telling the truth."
Zayne smiled faintly.
"I came here only to save Mr. Ward. Killing your subordinates is something you can smooth over later. But if I kill you, that would be a real problem."
"I am not stupid enough to kill the underground king of Old Shipyard Port. That would blow everything apart."
"But just because I am cautious does not mean I am afraid. Mr. Ward showed me great kindness. Think carefully and do not force an honest man into a corner."
A cold glint flashed in Zayne's eyes as he spoke, deadly serious.
Dano hesitated.
Now missing three limbs, with the last frozen solid, he had no choices left. In the end, he could only believe Zayne.
"Don't worry. That old man is not dead. He just lost a hand. He is being held in the prison outside," Dano said.
Zayne finally relaxed.
If Blake had died, he would have felt guilt and regret. Whatever Blake's motives were, he had genuinely spent real money to help him. That was a debt Zayne acknowledged.
Swish!
Starfall Skytrace flashed like a streak of light, slicing toward Dano's neck, aiming to decapitate him.
Feeling the killing intent, every hair on Dano's body stood on end.
"So you really were lying to me, you bastard!"
Dano no longer cared about his last leg. Twisting his body with all his strength, the frozen leg snapped off as he rolled away in a miserable tumble, narrowly avoiding the fatal strike.
"Strong survival instinct, but useless."
Zayne raised Starfall Skytrace again, preparing to strike.
He would never allow anyone who knew his secret of immortality to live.
Now completely limbless, Dano had no ability to resist. He smiled bitterly and closed his eyes in despair.
The underground king, reduced to dying like this.
Just as Zayne was about to finish him, a sharp female shout rang out from the doorway.
"Stop! Let Dano go, or I will kill him right now!"
