Chapter 80 - Chapter 80 The final rest

The next morning, the sun had already risen high into the sky.

"Mmm~"

Tsunade's lazy voice echoed through the room as she slowly opened one eye.

This was a luxurious suite with an oversized bed. The layout was elegant, and the mattress was incredibly soft.

She grabbed Kawamine's mischievous hand beneath the blanket, fragments of last night's memories surfacing in her mind.

She remembered leaving the bath, being carried back to the room by Kawamine, and now lying naked beneath the covers.

Then she recalled proudly showing off her wings—and Kawamine's words:

"So exciting."

Tsunade's face flushed crimson with embarrassment, quickly followed by burning anger.

That pervert… how despicable.

Without hesitation, she twisted around and slammed a punch into Kawamine's perfectly sculpted abs.

"Ugh—!"

Fortunately, Kawamine hadn't eaten anything that morning. Otherwise, he would've thrown up on the spot.

He opened his eyes groggily, only to see Tsunade glaring at him, her expression a mix of shame and fury.

How could he not know this was his karmic punishment?

"You were willing," Kawamine muttered, curling up instinctively into a defensive posture.

"Willing to offer your head—go die!"

Tsunade didn't believe that nonsense for a second. How could she possibly have gone along with it willingly?

"Murdering my husband~"

Kawamine's hands were pinned down as Tsunade flipped him over.

"Go ahead, scream all you want. No one's going to help you today."

"If I don't teach you a lesson now, you'll force me into doing something this humiliating again."

At this point, anything that should've been censored was very much exposed to the air. Tsunade seized the moment and struck decisively.

"I was wrong! When I grow wings someday, I swear I'll show everyone!"

"I'll never break my promise!"

Feeling Tsunade's iron-fisted affection, Kawamine could only beg for mercy. This night of pleasure had truly been unbearable.

"Tch. As if I want to see that."

"I'll let you off this time."

Deciding she'd had enough fighting, Tsunade rolled over and lay back down on the bed.

"Applause~"

Still not satisfied, she kicked Kawamine off the bed.

"You're sleeping on the floor tonight."

Kawamine climbed up from the carpet, glanced at Tsunade's flawless curves, and suddenly thought of something.

"It's still early. Let's sleep a bit longer."

"Stay away from me. Don't touch me."

Tsunade pushed him away with both hands, though the strength behind it was… ambiguous.

"Come on~"

"Mmm~"

...

After finishing their "morning exercise," Kawamine and Tsunade washed up and went out into the courtyard.

The two kids were already training seriously.

Minato stared intently at his right hand, carefully studying the Rasengan forming in his palm. He truly was diligent.

Nawaki couldn't practice Tobirama's Water Release techniques in the courtyard—it'd be too dangerous—so he continued training swordsmanship instead.

"Have you two eaten yet?" Kawamine asked.

He planned to have breakfast with Tsunade.

"I already ate. I brought you some food, but it's cold now," Nawaki replied, his expression a little strange.

He'd originally planned to bring it to their room—but the sounds from inside had scared him off.

If I'd knocked… my sister might've smashed my head in.

"How thoughtful," Tsunade said sweetly. "Then your brother-in-law and I will go eat outside."

She smiled warmly. Her little brother had really grown up.

"Sensei, the ramen shop at the street corner is really good," Minato said, dispersing the chakra in his hand as he made the recommendation.

"Alright, let's go have ramen," Kawamine agreed.

They went to a busy ramen shop at the corner of the street.

After ordering, Kawamine casually touched his waist—and the bowls arrived almost immediately.

His ramen was topped with ten neatly arranged oysters.

Tsunade shot him a teasing glance.

"Ahem…"

"I suddenly felt like eating this."

Kawamine more or less admitted it—he really had been overworking himself.

"When I get the time, I'll buy you something useful," Tsunade muttered before starting to eat.

For some reason, her face was slightly red.

That night, Kawamine didn't actually sleep on the floor. He slept soundly while holding Tsunade.

Everything needed moderation—too much or too little was bad. Kawamine still cared deeply about his health.

After all, he was heading to the battlefield soon.

He still remembered a scene from an old movie where a man went to kill someone in Macau, knife in hand, legs shaking uncontrollably.

He didn't want to end up like that.

Three days later, the main force arrived.

After seeing the markers Kawamine had left behind, Sakumo led the army into town and reunited with the group.

After discussion, they decided to rest for one night and head toward the Land of Wind the next day.

That evening, Kawamine and his three friends had dinner together, along with the two kids.

"Did you finish it?" Sakumo asked, sitting beside Kawamine as they shared a few drinks.

After asking, Dai also turned to look at Kawamine.

"It's done."

Kawamine deliberately left the answer vague, saying nothing more.

"What's that supposed to mean? Don't you trust us?" Dai pressed, his curiosity nearly overflowing.

"It's nothing special. Just went and caught a tailed beast for fun."

Kawamine spoke lightly, a faint smile on his face, popping a piece of meat into his mouth.

Seeing his attitude, Tsunade knew he was showing off again and rolled her eyes helplessly.

Immature and lecherous… how did I end up with him?

"What?!"

"You didn't even tell me about something as serious as capturing a tailed beast?!"

Sakumo looked shocked—and genuinely angry, his voice rising.

He had witnessed the terror of tailed beasts firsthand. If something had happened to Kawamine, how could he explain it to their deceased parents?

"Relax, big brother. It's already sealed," Tsunade said calmly.

Butterfly wings appeared on her back, confirming her status as a jinchūriki.

"So… you can fly now?" Dai said.

He hadn't expected Tsunade to become a jinchūriki—but he thought the flying youth looked unbelievably cool.

"Yes. With Nananao, we have a better chance of winning this war," Tsunade said seriously.

She knew Shukaku of the Sand wasn't easy to deal with. He excelled in Wind Release and sealing techniques, with extremely high defense.

Now that she was a jinchūriki, she was confident she could defeat Shukaku—or at least hold him back.

"If possible, don't use that power," Sakumo said.

Now that the matter was settled, he didn't want to dig deeper. Still, he worried that news of Konoha possessing two tailed beasts would alarm the other major nations.

"Konoha has more than two," Kawamine replied calmly.

"As long as we're strong enough, even if we had nine, no one would dare say a word."

Understanding his brother's concern, Kawamine clarified further.

"For now, we'll keep it secret. It can remain our trump card."

Sakumo nodded, agreeing that the information should remain classified.

"Of course, starting tomorrow, I won't use Nananao's abilities anymore," Tsunade said readily.

The butterfly wings vanished from her back.

If the Land of Wind learned that Konoha had deployed a jinchūriki, they would likely respond in kind immediately.

To ordinary people, the "best" solution was to have tailed beasts fight each other.

Only Senju Hashirama and Uchiha Madara ever treated tailed beasts like toys.

Hashirama would clap his hands and say:

"No matter how many tails you've got, the Buddha can grab them all with one hand and grind you into the ground."

And once Madara activated his Mangekyō Sharingan, he could control a tailed beast with a single glance—

something no other powerhouse even dared to imagine.
