Chapter 59 - Chapter 59 The sunset is so red

"Tachibana Yuhi's face is really red, isn't it?"Tsunade asked.

"Yes, Lady Tsunade."

The man clearly recognized Tsunade, though she didn't recognize him.

"This is the correct room. The previous occupants were just discharged."

"Please, have a seat."

Tsunade smiled and guided the couple inside. A private room with postpartum care was extremely expensive.

"Hello, I'm Hatake Kaze."Kawakaze stepped forward with a polite smile. If he remembered correctly, this man was Yuhi Shinhong's father.

It was a pity that their daughter would eventually be paired with the Third Hokage's son. His nephew Kakashi was quite something too.

"Hello, I'm Yuhi Maku,"the man answered calmly—not humble, not arrogant—as he shook Kawakaze's hand.

"You and your wife make a perfect couple. I'm sure your child will be beautiful."

Kawakaze started with compliments to build a good relationship. It would help Kakashi in the future.

He really worried about the next generation.

"Haha, thank you. I'll accept the blessing."

Talking about their child brought a bright, happy smile to Yuhi Mako's face.

"This is my home hospital. If you ever need anything, please let me know."

Kawakaze didn't care if he was being too forward. He couldn't just sit around waiting for Kurenai Yuhi to be born.

"Thank you in advance,"said Yuhi Shinhong. He didn't look like a showy or boastful man, and he seemed to know Kawakaze personally.

Even Tsunade couldn't understand how Kawakaze always made friends so quickly.

Was it because he acted so normal and approachable?

"We won't bother you any longer. Let's get going."

Kawakaze picked up Shuo Mao's luggage and left the ward with the two children.

Yuhi Shinhong and his wife officially moved into the room.

A few days later, she gave birth to a daughter with striking red pupils and named her Yuhi Kurenai.

Kawakaze often brought Kakashi to visit Tsunade in the hospital. Whenever he had free time, he also visited the Yuhi family to chat.

Thanks to Kawakaze's careful planning, the two families grew closer.

Children in the world of Naruto weren't just physically healthy—they grew fast too.

The two newborns even seemed to recognize each other. They often waved their tiny hands at each other and made little chirping noises.

They were childhood sweethearts from birth—if Kakashi failed to win her over one day, Kawakaze would definitely "teach him a lesson."

The Hidden Leaf Village remained peaceful, but things were dire for Hanzo of the Salamander.

After fighting Chiyo for so long without gaining the slightest advantage—and even seeing his poison neutralized—Hanzo decided to retreat. He left behind only a trail of blood on the battlefield as the Rain Ninja withdrew from the Land of Wind.

The war in the Land of Wind had come to an end, and Sunagakure needed time to recover.

At the Sand Ninja encampment—

"That old man with the respirator finally left."

After prolonged fighting and antidote research, Chiyo had become noticeably thinner.

"Mother, we should return to the village now,"her son said.

Chiyo nodded.

"Ebizō, inform everyone—we're heading home."

After saying that, Chiyo lay down and immediately fell asleep. She was utterly exhausted from the battle.

In her dreams, she kept seeing Hanzo wielding his chain-scythe.

How could Hanzo not hate her?

"Stupid old puppet woman… I'd tear her apart if I could."

As Hanzo led his troops back toward the Rain Village, he couldn't help cursing.

He swung his scythe angrily, chopping down trees in his path.

"Lord Hanzo, Lady Chiyo truly is incredible at both poisons and antidotes."

"We already did everything we could."

The man speaking had a large birthmark above his right cheek. He was Hanzo's "right hand"—the Salamander Fire Lizard, Kamata.

"Kamata, take everyone back. I'm heading to the Land of Iron."

Still fuming, Hanzo planned to travel alone.

"Shouldn't you take more people with you?"

"No need. The Land of Iron is just a bunch of sword-wielding samurai. How could they possibly hurt me?"

His tone was arrogant—but he had the power to justify it.

"Very well. Please be careful, Lord Hanzo."

Kamata stepped back. Hanzo nodded and left alone.

Crossing the plains and the watery marshlands, Hanzo rested briefly before entering the Land of Iron.

Along the way, every samurai he encountered had been slain by a scythe.

Soon after, word reached General Mifune: a foreign invader had entered their territory.

Mifune led a large group of samurai to confront Hanzo.

Eventually, they found him—standing shirtless before a massive waterfall.

Mifune stood at the front, his samurai drawing their blades.

"My Land of Iron has always maintained neutrality. Why is your Rain Village forcing us like this?"

Mifune recognized the Rain Village crest on Hanzo's poison mask—it wasn't hard to guess who he was.

"I am Hanzo the Salamander. Why would the Land of Iron need your opinion?"

Hanzo spoke with complete arrogance, not taking any of the samurai seriously.

Mifune's expression changed immediately.Even if the title "Demi-God" meant little in the ninja world, he had heard enough stories.

A heavy seriousness fell over him; his grip on his sword trembled slightly.

The warriors behind him reacted even more violently.

"Wha—?!"

Some fainted, others fled in panic. In moments, the entire group scattered.

"You're not running?"

Hanzo looked at Mifune—the goateed warrior who stood alone before him—with curiosity.

"I can't retreat. If I run, they won't survive."

Suppressing his fear, Mifune gripped his blade with both hands and faced Hanzo head-on.

"Very well. I'll kill you first."

Hanzo attacked with his scythe.

Mifune's sword speed was incredibly fast—even faster than most ninja could weave signs.

But Hanzo's speed was faster still.

After several exchanges, Mifune was clearly at a disadvantage.

"Kenjutsu—Scythe Lock: Two-Stage Strike!"

Hanzo's chain wrapped around Mifune's sword, and his scythe slashed harshly across Mifune's right cheek.

Blood sprayed, and Mifune flew backward, hitting the ground hard.

Hanzo didn't hesitate. He raised the scythe high, ready to impale him.

At the last moment, Mifune rolled aside and avoided death.

He rose to his feet again, gripping his sword with both hands, funneling chakra into the blade.

"Kenjutsu—Heaven-Splitting Slash!"

A curved arc of energy shot from his sword toward Hanzo.

"Water-Style—Instantaneous Submersion Technique."

Hanzo formed a single seal, dissolved into water, and slipped past the attack.

"Kenjutsu—Iaido Strike!"

Hanzo reappeared and thrust his scythe with blinding speed, piercing Mifune's body and snapping his sword in two.

As they passed each other, Mifune fell to one knee, propping himself up with a single hand.

Blood pooled beneath him, pouring from his mouth again.

"You're poisoned. You won't last long."

Hanzo retracted his chain calmly and delivered the verdict.

Mifune collapsed, unable to withstand the toxin coursing through his veins.

"Death is not the end of a man. Losing faith is.""Even if you die here, you will not die as a dull blade.""I'll declare it to the world—you are a hero."

Hanzo respected Mifune's resolve.Very few had the courage to face him head-on.

"Before I die… may I ask you one thing?"

Mifune's faint voice reached Hanzo.

"What is it?"

"I offer my life in exchange for your promise—do not harm my men."

"…Hah. It's been a long time since I met someone like you."

Hanzo laughed heartily. He tossed a vial of antidote toward Mifune, then turned and walked away.
