[Name: Psionics]
[Type: Skill]
[Rank: A – 12]
[Level: 00 (0 / 1,000 Omni Points)]
[Description: Allows you to use spiritual power to control any physical object. The higher your Spirit Points, the greater your power.]
[Hint: You should find a Spirit Cultivation Method before using this Skill, otherwise your head will explode like a watermelon. Kaboom!]
Seeing the information panel, Rover's eyes lit up like car headlights.
A Skill Scroll. This was the first time he had ever seen something like this. Did this mean he could actually obtain a superpower?
Psionics.
Rover felt that this kind of Skill was somewhat similar to Magneto's power, but instead of being limited to metal, it applied to all objects.
What did that mean? It meant this ability was many times more terrifying than Magneto's power.
On top of that, thanks to Rover's Class, he could even Upgrade this Skill, which meant it would grow even stronger.
Rover was extremely excited. Even though this Skill still required some kind of Spirit Cultivation Method to raise his Spirit Points, just this much was enough to make him happy.
He hugged Nanoe into his arms and said with a smile, "You really are my lucky star."
As he spoke, he gently scratched the tip of Nanoe's nose, his mood genuinely soaring.
"But how did you even buy this? They were willing to sell it to you?"
Nanoe laughed and said, "I used Selina's room key together with some food to trade for it. You were sleeping at the time so I didn't want to bother you, and if we waited too long, that person might have changed his mind, so I decided on my own. Rover, you are not angry, right?"
"Hahaha, why would I be angry? I am actually incredibly excited. You did great. Next time, you do not need to ask for my opinion. If you see an opportunity, grab it right away, understand?"
Nanoe nodded lightly and said with a smile, "I… I understand."
Rover brushed a light kiss on Nanoe's lips, then held the Skill Scroll in his hand, grinning like a child.
He opened the information panel and checked what the [A – 12] Rank actually meant.
[Ranks are classified from 99 to 00. 99 is the lowest, 00 is the highest.]
"Looks like… [A – 12] is an extremely high Rank." He muttered, "System, I want to learn this Skill."
[Beginning Skill acquisition!]
Right then, the scroll in Rover's hand turned into a stream of light and shot into his head.
He felt a flood of information pour in, as if a block of memories had suddenly been installed into his mind.
Rover closed his eyes and began trying to digest the influx of information, beads of sweat the size of beans seeping out across his face.
Nanoe and Selina both watched him, their expressions tinged with worry. After all, this room had survived until now, and the reason they could live such a comfortable life was entirely because of Rover.
If anything happened to him, chances were both Nanoe and Selina would end up dead. That was why, even without the loyalty the System forcibly imposed when they became [Tenants], they would still give him everything they could.
"Is… he going to be all right?" Selina asked anxiously.
Nanoe nodded and said, "He will definitely be fine."
A moment later, Rover slowly opened his eyes. He gently raised his hand, his fingers steadily lifting.
At that moment, in the corner of the room, a bag of sausages slowly floated up and drifted toward Rover.
However, when it was still about twenty centimeters away from him, it suddenly dropped to the ground. Rover let out a long breath and pressed his hand to his forehead. "My Spirit Points are too low, I can't use this Skill much at all. Looks like I need to find a Spirit Cultivation Method."
Nanoe quickly asked, worried, "How is it, Rover? Is that Skill good?"
Rover smiled in satisfaction. "It's amazing, even better than I imagined. It is just that… to bring out its full power, I need a proper Spirit Cultivation Method."
Nanoe nodded and said, "I will find a way to buy that for you."
Rover laughed and said, "Uhm. But how did you buy such an incredible Skill Scroll in the first place? They were willing to trade it to you?"
Nanoe smiled and replied, "He was a free Survivor, and he was already on the verge of starving to death. Right now, he was like a man crawling through the desert, and Selina's room key plus food and water were no different from an oasis in that desert."
"So compared to staying alive, a single skill scroll doesn't mean much. That's why I seized that chance and immediately traded some food, water, and the room key to get this scroll for you."
After hearing her, Rover felt from the bottom of his heart that Nanoe really was his lucky star.
She wasn't just beautiful, gentle, and perceptive, her work efficiency was insanely high, constantly surprising him with her trading ability.
Seeing the satisfied, delighted look in Rover's eyes when he looked at Nanoe, Selina couldn't help feeling a little jealous inside.
Just as Rover was about to say something else, a notification window suddenly appeared in front of him.
[Announcement to all Survivors: The Corpse Cleaner is coming. You have 60 minutes to return to your rooms. If you are still outside, the Corpse Cleaner will mistake you for a corpse and clean you up, kekekeke…]
It was a short notification, but Rover could feel the aura of death radiating from it.
"Corpse Cleaner?" Rover muttered, but he knew very well that the Corpse Cleaner mentioned by the System probably wouldn't affect his room.
"Rover, look at this."
At that moment, Nanoe brought the [Survival Guide] over in front of Rover and said softly, "It looks like some new information just showed up on it."
Rover took the sheet and noticed that an extra line of tiny text had appeared on it.
[Additional Guide: Corpse Cleaner]
[The Corpse Cleaner is an existence that cannot be killed. However, if you treat the Corpse Cleaner well, he will give you something very wonderful.]
[Hint: The Corpse Cleaner spends all year eating rotten corpses and is extremely fond of sweets.]
Seeing the new guidance, Rover felt delighted to the extreme. It seemed the [Survival Guide] wasn't a single-use item at all, but would update its information in response to the changes in the game.
He laughed and said, "If Sunny knew this secret, he'd probably regret it so much he'd cry and beg me to give the [Survival Guide] back."
Nanoe also smiled, genuinely happy inside. The stronger Rover became and the more information he grasped, the higher their chances of survival.
"Sweets… do we have any?" Rover asked with a frown.
Nanoe thought for a moment, then took out a chocolate donut from her Backpack, still sealed tightly in a plastic wrapper.
[Chocolate Donut]
[Type: Food]
[Level: 00 (0 / 5 points)]
[Description: Fairly sweet, suitable for temporarily suppressing hunger.]
He took the donut in his hand and said with a smile, "Thanks. Let's hope this does the trick."
Nanoe nodded nervously. She had no idea whether the Corpse Cleaner would be a person or a monster, so she didn't know if a little donut like this would be enough to catch his interest and satisfy him.
Rover, on the other hand, didn't dwell on it, because he could Upgrade this donut. But he had told Nanoe that he could only Upgrade things at random, so he couldn't Upgrade it in front of her.
He put the donut into his personal Backpack and began to Upgrade it.

He took a deep breath and continued upgrading.

[Chocolate Donut]

[Level: 02 (0 / 80 points)]
[Description: Extremely sweet, with decent satiety. One donut is enough to fill up two adults. It is strongly advised not to eat too many, or you may develop severe diabetes.]
'This should be enough!' Rover nodded, thinking to himself.
"AGH! Help! Somebody help me!"
Suddenly, a shrill scream from outside shattered the silence. Rover frowned and immediately walked over to the door, peering through the viewing slit.
The scene in front of him made him jolt, his body trembling slightly.
'Is that… the Corpse Eater?'
