Chapter 200 - Three Cups, Three Roads

The trio met after their last examination with no training scheduled.

Three chipped cups waited on the low table. The cracked fourth remained in the cabinet. Hạo Nhiên left the room after pouring tea.

No teacher to turn uncertainty into lesson.

Tân Phong spoke first.

"I am leaving Hồ Chí Minh City if I secure another university route. I am not submitting a Lục Hoa petition now."

Tân Thành held his cup with both hands. "I am staying. I want rescue training. Lục Hoa if they accept that purpose. Somewhere else if they only want me to wait."

Thuận looked at his folded petition beneath the white cup.

"I want Lục Hoa. I also want it to answer what balance means when the Union uses law to remove people."

Tân Phong smiled faintly. "So you want to join and argue."

"Yes."

"That sounds like you."

They drank.

The group did not die because its future separated. It became harder to describe with one command.

Thuận unfolded the final-operation map.

"One last operation together," he said. "Not because it purchases another one."

Tân Thành read the objectives. Expose the local registry. Protect students from both transfer and Lao recruitment. Preserve identities if possible. No pursuit after civilians clear.

Tân Phong added: each member retains independent exit.

Two votes can stop one remained.

They signed.

Hạo Nhiên returned and gave them no sect insignia. He provided emergency contacts, legal observers and one instruction:

"If the room makes victory and protection point in different directions, know which one you entered for."

Tín joined through a video call. Toàn Năng had not restored his badge, but several candidates agreed to preserve public footage if the transfer moved.

"No school banners," Thuận said.

"Agreed."

"No public duel."

Tín looked offended. "If Lao requests one?"

"Especially then."

Tân Phong looked at the screen. "Please tell Toàn Năng that public duels are not a scheduling format."

Khánh Vy messaged during the meeting:

`Flight confirmed. My parents will take the large bags ahead. You still taking the last ride?`

Thuận answered:

`Yes.`

No condition written beneath it.

The transfer delay moved the operation to the same afternoon as her departure.

Thuận stared at both times.

The warehouse action was scheduled earlier. If it remained controlled, he could finish and reach her school gate. Tân Phong saw the calendar.

"Do not build a plan that requires every problem to respect the schedule," he said.

"The operation can proceed without me after the local copy is found."

"Can you leave while it continues?"

Thuận did not answer.

Tân Thành folded the map. "Then decide now who takes field control when you go."

They assigned it jointly to Tân Thành for physical movement and Tân Phong for information. Two halves instead of a replacement leader.

That evening, anonymous messages appeared in student chats from Lê Quý Đôn and Trưng Vương.

Different accusations.

Same private sports hall.

The Trưng Vương version revived Khoa's unfinished story from the previous term. It claimed Lê Quý Đôn outsiders had invaded the youth-safety event to protect an injured outsider, harmed Trưng Vương volunteers, and now stolen a prohibited vial from a Toàn Năng junior.

The Lê Quý Đôn version claimed Khoa's Trưng Vương circle had hospitalized a first-year boy after forcing him to test an illegal supplement.

Neither accusation began with strangers. Both began with a real conflict, removed the full recording and invented the injury needed to reopen it.

Tín received a sealed Union request carrying a copied Lục Hoa mark.

Tân Phong compared the first screenshots and saw identical punctuation.

He also saw the same four-minute correction delay Khoa had used when coordinating posts around the earlier Trưng Vương confrontation. One editor prepared both sides, then released them through school-specific accounts.

The warehouse transfer had not vanished.

It had changed rooms.

Tân Phong contacted the formerly restrained boy through the borrowed number. The phone was already off. He compared the sports-hall address with public bookings.

A youth conflict-recovery event had reserved the entire building through Hồng Y's contractor. Its permit referenced the Union's mobile assessment. Its temporary labor came through the company that handled the hearing cleaners, the route Lao had already entered.

Khoa owned the audience and public story. The Union owned the recording equipment. Lao had access to workers and doors.

Three separate objectives now touched the same hall.

"Does Lao control the booking?" Tân Thành asked.

"No. Khoa controls who believes they were invited. The Union controls what gets measured. Lao can still enter through labor."

Tín received the sealed request one hour later. It claimed a Trưng Vương Toàn Năng junior had been assaulted and a prohibited vial taken by a Lục Hoa-linked student. Attached was a confirmation attributed to Thuận.

Tín called Thuận directly.

"Did you accept a public recovery meeting?"

"No."

"Then the seal is false."

"Do not go."

Tín looked at messages already spreading among Trưng Vương students. Khoa's volunteer network had tagged him as the recognized fighter responsible for recovering school dignity.

"If I stay away, they go with Khoa as the only person who claims to know the accusation is true."

"Bring no school group."

"I will try."

Trying was not control.

The anonymous posts outpaced both of them. Students forwarded names, Khoa's short version of the old youth-hall clip and invented victims. The private hall changed from assessment site to settlement location before any organizer publicly confirmed it.

Thuận looked at Khánh Vy's airport time.

The hall confrontation began hours earlier. He delegated field response to the brothers and kept the departure promise.

For the first time, the plan required Thuận to leave while danger remained active.

He folded the signed three-road agreement into his wallet beside the graduation photograph.

At the bottom, Tân Phong had written one additional line:

`A friend leaving is not a failed evacuation.`

Thuận read it twice before sleeping.

The next morning, the trio met at the disused Lê Quý Đôn gym where their old group had first formed.

The building was used for storage now. Dust covered the ring ropes. The rear equipment passage still opened after Tân Phong lifted the rusted latch.

They walked the old evacuation route once.

Tân Thành touched the place where he had shielded the younger boy. Tân Phong checked the chain marks. Thuận stood where Lao had won the center.

"We do not need a new oath," Tân Phong said.

"Good," Tân Thành answered. "The first one caused enough paperwork."

Thuận removed three chipped cups from his bag. They drank bottled tea because the building had no safe water.

"After this," he said, "Tân Phong leaves if he chooses. Tân Thành joins whatever path he chooses. I submit my petition if it remains mine."

Tân Phong raised the blue cup. "And nobody calls separation failure."

Tân Thành raised his. "Nobody leaves last because the others assumed he would hold the door."

Thuận lifted the white cup.

No fourth.

They drank without witnesses.

Outside, messages continued spreading toward the private hall. Inside, the disused school gym held no audience for Lao to own.
