Lãnh Phong watched the footage once.
Then he watched Minh.
He did not replay it immediately. That restraint was worse. It meant he had seen enough the first time.
"Well?"
Minh's jaw tightened. "He was bleeding."
"Yes."
"So I helped."
"Yes."
"Then say what you want to say."
Lãnh Phong placed the phone on the mat.
The video paused on Minh's first step.
"Left foot forward when you think someone weaker is in danger. Breath catches before you choose restraint. Shoulders drop when you decide not to kill. One Beat begins from the wrist when you are angry, from the ribs when you are calm."
Minh stared at the screen.
It felt worse than being punched.
He had thought he was choosing.
The footage made choice look like habit.
The cruelest part was how kind he looked on camera. He stepped between the attackers and the bleeding boy without hesitation. He lowered his force. He avoided crippling anyone.
And every good thing became data.
"Helping wasn't wrong," he said.
"Wrong is not the issue."
"Then what is?"
"Predictable."
Gomboc snarled.
"Break the recorder next time."
Thiên Phú formed separately, colder than guilt:
"Recorder was not the enemy. Pattern was."
Minh hated that both voices were right in different ways.
Lãnh Phong crouched in front of him.
"Good intentions leave footprints. Huyền Tinh follows footprints."
"You know them."
"Enough."
"Then tell me enough."
Lãnh Phong did not answer immediately.
Outside, rain began tapping the metal roof.
"They are not gang boys. They are not school rivals. They are old poison wearing new uniforms."
Minh looked at the paused frame again. Three attackers. One fake victim. One hidden phone. A whole court turned into a worksheet.
Minh thought of the cheap pills Hạ Yên mentioned. Tùng. Long. Lao's recruits shaking on the mat.
"They sold the pills?"
Lãnh Phong's expression gave him the answer before words did.
"Some of them. Cheap formulas. Dirty gates. Boys desperate for power swallow anything if the seller calls it strength."
"And the schools?"
"Schools give them cover. Clubs give them bodies. Rivalries give them excuses. Parents hear 'fight' and think discipline problem. Teachers hear 'supplement' and think exam stress."
"So everyone corrects the truth until it's useful to the people lying."
Lãnh Phong's silence meant yes.
Minh's stomach turned.
"Lao used them."
"Lao believed them."
That distinction mattered.
It did not absolve Lao.
It made the trap bigger.
Somewhere else, Huyền Kha received the footage.
He watched Minh stop three attackers without losing control.
"Compassion trigger confirmed," he said.
Hạo Kỳ stood beside him.
"Direct test?"
Huyền Kha smiled.
"Not yet. Let him learn he is being read. Fear improves handwriting."
Hạo Kỳ looked at the paused frame of Minh's hand stopping before bone broke.
"He is restraining himself."
"No," Huyền Kha said. "He is negotiating with himself."
His smile remained mild.
"That means there are at least two doors."
Tân Phong rebuilt the leak on paper.
He wrote each helpful act on a separate receipt: Lâm forwarding a clip, Quân sending a warning, Minh sharing a route, Thuận assigning escorts. Then he placed the receipts across a quán nước table in the order strangers could have observed them. By the fourth receipt, a map appeared.
Tân Thành stared at it. "So we stop helping?"
"No. We stop helping in ways that create one picture."
They tested the idea that afternoon. Tân Thành walked an injured student to the bus, but Tân Phong bought the ticket from another stop. Thuận sent no group message; he gave each instruction in person and changed one harmless detail so any leak could be traced. The system felt slower and less heroic. It also denied a watcher the satisfaction of seeing a team form on a screen.
Minh joined them near a photocopy shop. He placed Quân's three facts beside the receipts.
"This one arrived after the threat to his sister," Tân Phong said.
Minh looked up. "He has a sister?"
The silence answered too much. Tân Phong had learned the detail from metadata Quân had not chosen to share. For one uncomfortable second, he occupied Huyền Kha's position: collecting truth because he could.
He folded that receipt and returned it to Minh. "We do not use this unless Quân gives permission."
"Even if it helps?" Tân Thành asked.
"Especially then."
Across the street, a camera caught their meeting but not the papers. Huyền Kha received four boys at one table and no readable structure between them. His report remained open longer than usual.
Tân Phong had hidden the route. More importantly, he had found the line separating information from ownership.
Huyền Kha answered the broken map by creating noise.
Four warnings arrived within an hour: a fight near Minh's school, a pill sale behind the clinic, a van circling Lâm's rehabilitation center, and a message claiming Quân's sister had disappeared. Each carried just enough detail to demand attention.
The group could not verify all four without revealing its priorities.
Tân Phong assigned no one. He placed the claims on the quán nước table and asked what evidence would exist if each were true. A disappearance would create a missed class and a family call. A van could be checked through a guard before anyone traveled. A pill sale could wait for Hạ Yên's supplier contact. The school fight had already appeared in public messages and needed no secret route.
They verified from the edge. Three warnings collapsed. The van was real but belonged to a laundry service.
The fourth, the school fight, had been arranged to look least important. Minh arrived after teachers had separated the students and found one boy carrying the same event-company badge.
Huyền Kha had expected care to scatter them. Tân Phong had turned care into questions before movement.
That night, Tân Phong deleted the route map from his phone. He kept the reasoning on paper in three separate notebooks. A system built to protect people should not become one stolen screen capable of exposing them all.
