Celine gulped dryly as Tristan stepped into the elevator, she stepped back and he stepped closer, she felt as if they were both cramped in the same space.
The doors behind him didn't close as he pressed the hold button.
"I...I just really have to get back home now."
"Reason?" He asked succinctly and her lips shut sealed.
What should she tell him, that she had two adorable kids waiting for her at home?
It wasn't an option, so she remained silent. Her lack of response caused his brows to furrow.
"Do you have someone you need to go home to?" She didn't know why his voice seemed to sound darker as he asked this question but it caused her heart to thud.
Someone she needed to go home to? Undoubtedly her children...was he suspecting her?
Celine's eyes darted nervously and she immediately shook her head. "I'd just feel much better at home."
She couldn't have him getting the slightest bit suspicious.
