Chapter 77 - Chapter 77: The Reward is Myself

Upon returning to Mondstadt City, Stelle and Amber temporarily parted ways.

Amber needed to go to the Knights of Favonius to apply for Stelle's flying license. Because this exam was quite special, she might need to find Acting Grand Master Jean to explain the situation, and then have her make an exception to issue it to Stelle.

Furthermore, they needed to report the entire process of capturing Monster Bird to Acting Grand Master Jean. Surely Acting Grand Master Jean would be very happy to hear that Monster Bird had been successfully apprehended.

Amber had originally planned to take Stelle with her, but as soon as Stelle thought about seeing Acting Grand Master Jean, especially with Amber by her side…

How to put it, she was still a bit timid.

She knew very well that her relationships with several people couldn't be hidden forever, and Stelle wasn't the kind of irresponsible scumbag; she would have to come clean with them sooner or later.

But such a matter definitely required careful preparation and planning.

She couldn't just rush into it. If she didn't manage the situation well and caused cracks in their already good relationships, it would be a net loss.

So for now, it was better to avoid it temporarily and wait for a suitable opportunity later.

Alas, I only hope that while she prepares, no more accidents happen, and no new debts are incurred.

"Two orders of Sweet Madame, please, thank you." Stelle walked into the Hunter's Deer restaurant and loudly called out to Miss Sara in the distance.

"Alright~ Two Sweet Madames, please wait a moment!" Miss Sara still seemed very busy today.

It seemed that only during the Dragon Disaster did Hunter's Deer's business suffer a bit, with fewer people.

Now that the Dragon Disaster was over, everything had returned to normal, and Hunter's Deer's business naturally picked up.

As expected of Mondstadt's most famous restaurant in the city, the customer traffic was something other small restaurants in the city couldn't compare to at all.

The only problem was...

Stelle looked around; almost every table was full of people, and she had walked inside the restaurant, but the outdoor seating was also already full.

Now, a long line had formed in front of Miss Sara, likely people who wanted to take their food to go and were picking up their orders.

Besides that, some people who didn't want takeout were scattered around, waiting for others to finish their meals and free up seats.

Stelle looked at the lively scene in the restaurant and sighed helplessly in her heart.

To avoid meeting Acting Grand Master Jean with Amber, she specifically told Amber that she would go to Hunter's Deer first to reserve a spot, lest there be no place to eat when it got crowded.

Amber was telling her at the time, that it was already past most Mondstadters' lunch time, so how could there be too many people and no place to eat?

But when Stelle arrived at Hunter's Deer, there was still no seat.

This made her difficult; now she either had to pack the food to go, or wait for others to finish and free up the table.

The former was not impossible, but a bit troublesome, as a long line had already formed in front of her.

The latter was actually similar; it would probably also require a long wait.

Just as Stelle was in a dilemma, her gaze accidentally swept to a corner of the restaurant.

Her eyes instantly lit up.

"Hello, Damselette, may I share a table?" Stelle quickly walked over and smiled at the Damselette in front of her.

It was truly strange; why would some people rather queue and wait there, or wait for others to leave, than come and share a table with this Damselette?

She was clearly alone, could it be that they felt embarrassed?

After all, this Damselette was very beautiful and had an aura that kept people at a distance of Tohka.

However, Stelle had no such concerns; she was very confident in her charm, or rather, her succubus-like constitution, and rarely did any female reject her.

"Hmm?" The tall Damselette with azure hair looked up in surprise.

Looking at Stelle, who had a smile on her face, her brows couldn't help but furrow.

"Are you sure?"

"Uh... Is it not allowed?" This was the first time Stelle had encountered a female who would furrow her brows and show signs of rejecting her.

Strange, did her succubus constitution fail?

--------

"That's how it is, Acting Grand Master Jean." Amber, full of energy, spilled everything that happened this morning to Acting Grand Master Jean.

"I understand. Stelle's flight license meets the criteria for exceptional issuance." Jean nodded, and when Stelle was mentioned, her mood inexplicably became very good.

She hadn't expected that after just one night, Stelle would make such a contribution to Mondstadt again, greatly helping the Knights of Favonius.

"Considering your capture of the Monster Bird, and Stelle's various contributions to the Knights of Favonius and Mondstadt before, issuing her an Honorary Knight title is not a problem," Jean slowly said.

It was just a bit helpless that the Knights of Favonius had just recently issued the title of Honorary Knight to Lumine; if they issued it to Stelle at this point, it might cause some people to have slight murmurs.

After all, this honorary title had not been granted to foreigners for many years, and now issuing it to foreigners one after another, it seemed as if this honorary title suddenly became worthless.

Even if they were to give it, they would have to wait a while.

It was just unknown how long Stelle planned to stay in Mondstadt.

"Actually, I think Stelle wants something more substantial than an honorary title; she told me before that she doesn't care about these empty titles." Amber rubbed her head, then said to Jean.

Although the title of Honorary Knight cannot be said to be an empty title, it could grant Stelle some convenience in the Knights of Favonius.

However, with her presence now, and Acting Grand Master Jean and Stelle's relationship seeming to be good, those conveniences were almost negligible for Stelle.

"Substantial reward?" Jean heard Amber's words and pondered in silence.

In her opinion, as a Traveler from a foreign land, and possessing such powerful strength, Stelle certainly wouldn't lack money.

If Stelle wasn't interested in honorary titles, then she probably wouldn't be interested in special privileges either.

Then, what else was there...?

As Jean thought, her mind, as if by a ghost's whim, recalled last night.

Her cheeks immediately flushed.

As for a reward—she herself could be a reward, right?

"Acting Grand Master Jean, what's wrong with you? Your face is red... You're not having a fever, are you?!" Amber said to Jean with some concern.

"No, I'm fine. That, Amber, let's go get Stelle's flight license first." Jean quickly shook her head, throwing those strange thoughts out of her mind.

"Are you really okay?" Amber asked, still worried.

"I'm really fine..." Jean said, her mind already calculating how to invite Stelle to her home.

"Amber, tonight I'll treat Stelle to a big meal alone... What do you think?"

"A big meal? That's great! I think Stelle should be very happy." Amber didn't think much of it and nodded in strong agreement.

She didn't seem to notice the word "alone."
