He picked a table near the corner and sat down. The porridge was still warm when he lifted the spoon, and the steam brushed his face.
He had just broken a bun in half when a servant approached and bowed.
"Young Master Tian," the boy said carefully, "this servant was told to inform you that Elder Mei has called Miss Xueya for examination."
