I probably should have posted this before starting the fic, but here we are.
I want this story to feel realistic, even in its darker moments. That means I'll be exploring some heavy, grueling themes in depth—things that reflect real-life struggles, though obviously amplified for the narrative. I'll delve into sensitive topics like substance abuse and its emotional toll, drawing from experieces that i will reseach into just incase. i dont want to offend anyone with my story
One line I will never cross: I will not write about rape or sexual assault. That's a hard boundary for me, and that i do not feel comfortable writting about so no need to worry in this regard.
If any of this makes you uncomfortable as a reader please let me know. I'll do my best to include clear content warnings before particularly intense scenes so you can skip them if needed.
Feedback is really important to me. I don't always have the best sense of where other people's boundaries are, so if you ever feel I've gone too far or handled something insensitively, please tell me. I genuinely want to know.
If you've been following the story so far, you know I've already dipped into darker territory. Starting around chapter 13 or 15, though, things will shift into something much closer to grimdark. Just a heads-up.
