We briskly cross a couple of blocks when I notice what looks like a couple kissing and groping each other with far too much passion to be out in the open. Normally, hidden that well in the darkness, no human eye would have been able to notice them — but my eyes aren't human.
He is… Tyler — Naomi's boyfriend! But she… no, she's definitely not Naomi!
And yet, this morning at school she didn't seem any different — I even heard her talking to him on the phone during the break.
Yes, I know, eavesdropping is wrong — but it just so happened that I caught part of the conversation through the bathroom door, where Naomi had locked herself in to talk to him.
From what little I overheard, Naomi told him that some of her relatives would soon be staying at her place for a while, and that she would have liked to introduce them to him. On top of that, they had also planned to go out to dinner, just the two of them, so they definitely haven't broken up.
