Noren Ace froze on the spot. Her eyes widened in shock, her mouth falling open—every polite line she'd prepared jammed in her throat.
Sleeping memories snapped awake in her mind.
"E-Emperor… Rudolf Symboli… P-President?!" she blurted, her voice trembling with disbelief, almost turning into a whisper.
Rudolf Symboli looked at Noren Ace—who was seconds away from screaming—and a trace of helplessness flashed across her eyes.
Instead of picking up the hat immediately, she swiftly—but elegantly—lifted her right index finger and pressed it to her lips in a standard "shh" gesture.
"Shh—"
The motion was gentle, yet carried an unmistakable authority. Her violet eyes flicked toward Su Luo's back inside the shop, then quickly returned to Noren Ace.
"Please keep it secret for me, dear Miss Clerk~"
That small gesture instantly pulled her out of the relaxed "Miss Luna" persona—and back into the calculating presence of the "Emperor."
Even that brief leak of aura was enough to make Noren Ace feel an invisible pressure.
Noren Ace slapped a hand over her mouth, forcing the scream back down. Only her wide eyes remained, broadcasting the tidal wave inside her head.
She nodded furiously like a pecking chick—yes, she understood. She absolutely wouldn't tell anyone.
Only then did Rudolf Symboli give a small nod, offering a faint smile that was equal parts gratitude and reassurance. She then turned, walked to the hat that had been blown away, picked it up, and lightly brushed off dust that wasn't even there.
It would be bad if that gentleman learned her identity right now.
After all… she quite enjoyed the feeling of talking with Su Luo plainly, as just "Luna."
