Chapter 72 - Chapter 72: dango milk

Facing the guards' questions, Raiden Ei said indifferently:

"No need to worry, I merely had the thought of going to see the streets. You may return to your posts and continue guarding."

The two guard soldiers exchanged glances, not daring to ask more. "Yes."

With that, they returned to their original posts to continue standing guard.

And so, Raiden Ei walked all the way down towards the Inazuma streets... She hadn't walked long before Raiden Ei finally arrived on the street.

The moment she stepped onto the street, it immediately caused quite a stir.

"Her Excellency, the General! How did you come here!"

"Is Her Excellency, the General, here for an inspection!?"

"She's not going to seal off my shop, is she!"

On the street, with Raiden Ei's appearance, the citizens and surrounding shop owners instantly panicked.

They all stood far away, thinking that something big was about to happen again.

After all, for them, the Raiden Shogun coming out for a stroll was a once-in-a-century event.

Seeing everyone's panicked expressions, Raiden Ei frowned, seemingly puzzled as to why such a situation would occur.

Just then, a voice suddenly came from beside her:

"I was wondering why it was so lively. So it was you who came out."

Hearing this voice, Raiden Ei's heart trembled. She quickly turned around and found a young man had appeared beside her at some point.

Raiden Ei naturally couldn't fail to recognize this person.

Because Inazuma's ability to enter a new chapter today had a great deal to do with the young man before her.

If it weren't for the person in front of her, she would probably still be hiding in the Plane of Euthymia, isolating herself.

"Yellow..."

Just as Raiden Ei was about to say the word 'Yellow Fox', Yuuko interrupted her:

"I am just an ordinary citizen now."

Upon hearing this, Raiden Ei was stunned for a long time before letting out a helpless sigh:

"I was wondering if there would be no chance to meet again in the future. So you are actually a resident of my Inazuma City... It seems I've really been out of touch with my people for too long."

Yuuko smiled, "Anyway, Yuuko is my name. As for that identity, please help keep it a secret."

Raiden Ei also smiled, "Naturally."

After speaking, Raiden Ei fell into thought again and said:

"Speaking of which... the name Yuuko... could it be Yae Miko's..."

"Yae Miko? Why would her name suddenly come up?"

"No." Raiden Ei shook her head; "It's nothing."

"Is that so." Seeing that Raiden Ei was unwilling to speak, Yuuko wouldn't foolishly press her further.

Afterward, Yuuko smiled again:

"Ei, from your expression, you must want to see the changes in Inazuma now."

Raiden Ei nodded, then sighed, "But the citizens seem to be very in awe of me..."

"That's normal. After all, your puppet usually handles things ruthlessly and rarely goes out on the streets. Now that you've suddenly appeared, those citizens are bound to be startled."

He paused for a moment, then Yuuko thought about it and smiled again:

"Since Ei wants to understand present-day Inazuma, how about I be your guide?"

Raiden Ei glanced at Yuuko. For some reason, she couldn't bring herself to refuse. She nodded:

"Then I shall trouble you."

Thus, the two began to walk side-by-side on the streets of Inazuma.

The other residents on the street still kept their distance, not daring to approach.

No matter what, even after events like the Vision Hunt Decree, the people of Inazuma still held their god in considerable awe.

As they walked side-by-side on the street, Raiden Ei suddenly raised a question:

"Transactions between citizens should still be using Mora, right?"

Yuuko nodded, "That's right. As for that, it probably won't change in the future either."

At this point, Yuuko suddenly thought of a very serious problem: "Wait, Ei, you don't happen to have no Mora on you, do you..."

For some reason, Yuuko suddenly remembered the time he traveled to Liyue and was constantly dragged by that poor Zhongli to eat and drink tea, forced to be his meal ticket... Raiden Ei said with a matter-of-fact expression:

"Of course not. There's no need for items in the Plane of Euthymia. Even if there were, I would just have the Shogunate bring them."

How can you say such things so righteously... Yuuko secretly grumbled in his heart.

"Speaking of which, why did you say 'also' just now?" Raiden Ei asked again.

Yuuko sighed lightly, "It's nothing, just some heartfelt complaints."

"Is that so." Raiden Ei nodded, then pondered for a moment before asking again:

"Yellow... Yuuko, you've always told me to see what Inazuma is like now. So, in your opinion, how is Inazuma now?"

Facing this question, Yuuko thought for a moment before answering:

"I think it's pretty good. Perhaps there are still many small problems, but at least Inazuma is lively now, and I quite like this atmosphere. At least it's much better than the lifeless state during the Vision Hunt Decree."

"Lively?" Raiden Ei frowned, looking around, "Everyone is still very orderly; I don't see any liveliness."

"That's because you're here; the residents are restrained," Yuuko said with a sigh, spreading his hands.

"Is that so." Raiden Ei fell into thought again.

Afterward, as the two walked, Raiden Ei's attention suddenly fell upon a small stall ahead.

"What is that stall selling?"

Yuuko followed Raiden Ei's gaze and smiled:

"That's a snack stall. They have many strange and wonderful things for people like us."

"Strange and wonderful things for us, 'us' meaning...?" Raiden Ei showed a puzzled expression.

Yuuko smiled and shook his head, not explaining, "Anyway, you'll know if you go and see."

Raiden Ei nodded and walked towards the stall ahead.

As the two arrived, Tomoki, the stall owner, suddenly trembled, his face turning pale.

Perhaps thinking he had committed some error, he quickly bowed his head:

"Her! Her! Excellency, the General! Forgive me!"

"No need to be nervous. I just came to see if the stall has anything special," Raiden Ei said, waving her hand.

"Is that so? That's good..." Hearing that she wasn't there to cause trouble, Tomoki breathed a sigh of relief.

Afterward, Tomoki looked at Yuuko again and said gratefully:

"Brother Yuuko! Your idea earlier was really useful! I successfully implemented it as you said and have already made the new product, dango milk!"

"dango milk?" Raiden Ei, who was beside them, showed a puzzled expression.

Tomoki proudly explained:

"This is Milk I developed by drawing on Brother Yuuko's idea. This dango milk has a thick, viscous texture and tastes much better than regular Milk!"
