Chapter 12 - Chapter 12: The Fatui Harbinger, Balladeer

After listening to Yuuko's suggestion, Sayu pondered for a long time before slowly nodding:

"Sayu understands... Sayu will try not to bother you much from now on."

Yuuko nodded in satisfaction, then chuckled:

"It's evening now, want to come to my place for dinner?"

Sayu was about to agree, but for some reason, a shiver ran through her, and she inexplicably thought of a Yellow Fox bad woman... She quickly shook her head and waved her hands:

"No need... Sayu still needs to sleep..."

"Sleep? It's just getting dark, sleeping so early?" Yuuko said in surprise.

"Because... only by getting enough sleep... can my body grow taller..."

"Grow taller..." Yuuko was stunned for a moment, then couldn't help but burst out laughing.

It wasn't until the young Damselette looked at him with an displeased gaze that Yuuko cleared his throat and stopped laughing.

Sayu pouted unhappily, muttering, "Don't laugh at Sayu... Sayu will grow tall one day..."

Yuuko thought for a moment, then reached out to pat Sayu's head.

Sayu saw Yuuko reaching out and instinctively wanted to dodge, but after taking one step back, she stopped.

To her own surprise, she didn't resist Yuuko's action.

Instead, she let Yuuko pat her head... Yuuko stroked Sayu's head with the same technique he usually used to pet the little fox, and chuckled:

"You'll grow taller eventually, so don't worry. Oh, and remember to drink more Milk regularly.

Hmm... if you have some free time, you can also do some exercises with me."

Yuuko added, "It's the healthy kind of exercise."

Sayu lowered her head and remained silent for a while before saying:

"If I have time... Sayu will come to find Lord Yuuko..."

"Then, Sayu will retreat first..."

With that, Sayu curled up into a ball, and Elemental Power of Anemo appeared around her, enveloping her.

Then... Sayu, curled into a ball, rolled away... This scene also left Yuuko quite speechless.

Watching Sayu roll into the distance, slowly disappearing from sight, Yuuko scratched his head:

"What a strange way to travel?"

After a moment, Yuuko exhaled: "Forget it, it's time to buy ingredients for dinner."

With that, he turned and walked towards the streets of Inazuma City... On the other side, Sayu didn't roll far; she stood up again when she reached a high point.

From the high point, she watched Yuuko's figure in the distance, muttering:

"What a strange person..."

"But what's incredible is... Sayu doesn't dislike him..."

"Hmm... I can remove him from the list of scary people..."

"Oh... and so drinking Milk can also make me grow taller... Oh... Sayu will drink more Milk from now on..."

...After returning to the streets of Inazuma, Yuuko quickly went to various shops and bought ingredients for tonight's dinner.

With the ingredients bought, Yuuko went home to cook.

Arriving home, he opened the door only to find that the little fox had returned sometime earlier and was waiting for him by the entrance.

Seeing this, Yuuko smiled, "Welcome back, oh wait, I'm back."

The little fox, as usual, jumped onto Yuuko and lay down, stretching vigorously, seemingly a bit tired.

"Were you tired from playing outside?"

Yuuko reached out and stroked the little fox on his shoulder, and the little fox let out a comfortable purr.

After petting it for a bit, Yuuko glanced at the sky, which had completely darkened, and said:

"It's getting late, let's cook first, then I'll help you relax later."

The little fox let out a dissatisfied cry but didn't make any excessive gestures of resistance.

Afterward, Yuuko went to the kitchen and prepared dinner for himself and the fox.

After dinner, the little fox lay on the table, swaying its body, seemingly wanting Yuuko to pet it.

Yuuko naturally understood the little fox's intention and immediately began to stroke and rub the little fox's fair belly with incredibly skillful hands.

Although the little fox let out comfortable purrs,

it kept swaying its body, seemingly unsatisfied, and kept rubbing its head against Yuuko's hand.

Yuuko said in confusion, "Do you want me to pet your head?"

Thinking this, Yuuko reached out to stroke the little fox's fluffy head, and incidentally... poked and rubbed the little fox's ears.

As expected, the little fox indeed showed a comfortable expression, even collapsing on the table, striking a pose that said, 'Do as you please.'

"Strange, you usually prefer me to rub your belly, why do you want me to rub your head and ears today?"

Although Yuuko found it a bit strange, he didn't pay too much attention to it.

After helping the little fox relax for a bit, Yuuko also went to take a bath.

Unfortunately, he couldn't get the little fox to join him in the bathroom for a bath today either... To be honest, Yuuko really wanted to take the little fox with him while bathing.

Bathing while holding the little fox to his chest, it would be incredibly warm and comfortable.

But he just didn't know why the little fox was so resistant to this... After bathing, Yuuko began his tedious creative journey again.

And the little fox, as usual, quietly watched Yuuko write his novel.

It wasn't until late at night, when he felt tired, that Yuuko stopped writing and prepared to go to sleep.

"Hmm, the content for the second volume is finally finished. I can submit it tomorrow."

Thinking this, Yuuko settled the little fox back into its nest, then jumped into bed to sleep... Late at night, on Yashiori Island, a large island southwest of Inazuma City.

There was a very hidden cave on the island, filled with numerous machines.

Many figures were busily working inside, tinkering with these machines.

They were all messing with these strange machines, seemingly manufacturing something.

A young purple-haired boy was calmly directing this group of people at work.

This boy, named Kunikuzushi, was the Sixth of the Fatui Harbingers, titled Balladeer.

Among the Fatui Harbingers, he was a well-known and powerful figure.

As a Fatui Harbinger, Balladeer was arrogant, looked down on others, and was very conceited.

But even such a Balladeer now had a very solemn expression on his face.

After instructing the Fatui grunts to operate the machines in the cave, he muttered in a low voice:

"Yellow Fox has actually come to Inazuma..."

"This is not good news. With him here, many parts of my plan will be hindered."

"Now, I can only use that foolish Lady to act as a smoke bomb, to buy me time to get the Gnosis."

"No matter what, I must obtain the Gnosis."

As he spoke these words, a hint of ruthlessness and an even stronger sense of obsession appeared in Balladeer's eyes.
