Lucifer uttered, a worried look on her face as she followed closely behind Kai.
Walking down the hallway, the other maids, who were either stationed at different points or busy with their cleaning duties, all paused to look at Kai as he walked by, giggling like high school girls just from his presence.
It wasn't like Kai had the intention of leaving the Throne Room just yet. He would much rather wait to see what the Duke was up to and then make his counter-move.
But ever since Kai had that very particular meeting with Lyra and Carlotta about putting them in charge of diplomatic relations with the Human Nation, he noticed they had been quite serious with whatever they were doing.
Too serious, in fact.
