Chapter 6 - Accessing the live chat.

It had been a couple of days since Kai summoned his minions and offered them to Lyra to look after.

In the span of those days, he had noticed several changes in his dungeon.

Firstly, because his dungeon was now a C-Rank due to the upgrades done by Lyra, anyone who was under Kai and inside the dungeon as well would be forced to grow to a strength rivalling or surpassing the C-Rank.

As such, every day the Skeletons were leveling up by 5, and now, they were at level 25, capable of standing their ground against players who were of similar ranks.

But no newbie was capable of getting to such a level, which made for easy kills for the Skeletons. Each time they killed a player, they would level up even more, taking them all the way to level 30.

With this upgrade in level, they changed from Skeleton Monsters to Monster Knights, carrying far better swords and acquiring better skills as well.

Not to mention their level also indirectly gave Kai more EXP per kill.

Kai looked at the system notification hovering at the side of his gaze.

[Total exp: 5000 exp.]

This was the total amount of EXP he had been able to collect for the past few days. That is without taking the little EXP he lost since Lyra insisted she wanted to keep on expanding the dungeon.

'I might as well use it before she takes any more.'

Swiping the air before him, he brought up the next option, which was the offer the system had sent to him regarding the live chat.

[Live chat—Cost: 2000 exp.]

He stared at the notification for a while.

For Lyra, all she could see was him looking at nothing but the Skeleton, so throughout the entire moment, she had her heart pounding in her chest, thinking her master was finding fault in her Skeleton's growth.

She had instructed the Skeletons to cut off the arms of the players once they were killed because she noticed that was the only way to keep an arm preserved without disappearing with the other parts of the body.

Kai had once said how he could devour humans, and thus, she felt that was the best way she could serve him.

Does he perhaps have some issues with the body part being brought? Should she have brought their heads instead?

Different thoughts swirled up in her mind.

Meanwhile…

[Congratulations, you have purchased the feature Live Chat.]

[2000 exp has been deducted.]

'Ohhhh, it actually worked.'

Kai had his full focus on the system, indirectly forgetting that his subjects were still standing there watching, thinking he was making a judgment for them.

Lyra being the one with the most emotions written on her face.

The thought of Kai punishing her when she had only just been summoned weighed heavily on her mind as she awaited to hear what he was going to say.

Little did she know Kai paid her no mind.

[Would you like to access the live chat?]

'...'

Before he responded, he looked at the piles of hands on the ground next to him. He was supposed to have devoured them to get their skills and other resources.

Although he had not devoured a single person brought to him by his subjects as of yet.

But then again, he could spare a couple of minutes to focus on the live chat first.

'Yes.'

[Live chat has been activated.]

Ding!

{Yo! Did you guys see that damn sword from dungeon 3,4? I swear man its sick. I wish I was the first to get to that dungeon - user5090gooner.}

{HAHA, I heard Grot got the weapon after defeating the level 30 boss there, that dude is something else, how is he already a level 40 when the game just launched a few weeks back. - Agent104 replied to user5090gooner.}

Kai had an uninterested look on his face as he read through the chats.

He wouldn't say he was surprised to hear there were tryhards in this game; it was quite normal to meet them in any game.

For the most part, all people seemed to be talking about was how free the game was, and how they were able to do literally anything inside.

From attending schools to starting a family, a career, you name it.

Whatever was possible in the original world was also possible in this world as well.

Despite the fact Kai found it strange that such a game could exist and yet be free to the public without them having to pay a dime, he was suspicious, but he made sure not to think about it too much as he scrolled through the messages.

Then, he ran into something that immediately piqued his interest.

[Anonymousman: Have you guys heard of the dungeon in the Rambora region? It's a beginner dungeon for people that spawn in that region.]

Kai leaned forward so he could read more.
