Chapter 65 - Unknown Realm Creature - T

This room was dedicated to scientific research, filled with various research instruments.

The walls were covered in mathematical formulas and numerous photographs.

One photo in particular caught Feng Qi's attention. To his surprise, the figure in the photo was none other than little black.

Why would there be a photo of little black in this laboratory?

Intrigued, he began searching through the laboratory's archived documents, hoping to find information related to little black.

However, the archived documents had deteriorated completely. At the slightest touch, they crumbled into ash, making it impossible to extract any information from them.

Frustrated, Feng Qi walked over to the wall, removed the photo of little black, and examined it closely.

The photo was made of some unknown material that had yet to decay.

The photo, taken from a distance, showed little black shrouded in a dark mist. Yet, even through the gloom, his scarlet eyes burned with an eerie, terrifying intensity under the Blood Moon.

Flipping the photo over, he discovered several lines of small print on the back:

Unknown Realm Creature - T:

Strength: Unknown

Domain Properties: Unknown

Origin: Unknown

Description: The earliest non-social special domain creature to appear in Future City, temporarily designated "T." It is impossible to determine whether this creature possesses wisdom. T cannot coexist with other domain creatures and will attack any living being within its sight, including other domain creatures. It exhibits extreme aggression toward humans, and its involvement in the destruction of Future City is suspected.

Updated Description 2: All domain creatures become extremely agitated upon encountering T, for reasons yet unknown.

Updated Description 3: T can shift its form at will, alternating between physical and ethereal states, rendering it nearly immune to physical damage.

Feng Qi had hoped to find information about little black's origins within the Star City Shelter.

To his surprise, even the Future People had been unable to determine little black's exact origins. Thus, the reason for little black's relentless pursuit remained a mystery.

However, the description of little black on the back of the photograph matched what he had personally witnessed during their encounters.

Little black's physical structure was remarkably unique. It had only been forced back during battles with the Scarlet Eye.

In combat with the Single-Horned Domain Creature, little black's body instantly turned ethereal upon impact with the creature's horn, then returned to its original form unharmed.

Feng Qi had been utterly astonished by this display at the time.

After sticking the photograph back on the wall, he left the room.

Though the room contained more information to examine, he couldn't afford to linger. Little black might already be on its way, and he needed to find answers quickly.

Leaving the room, he moved to the adjacent metal door and began kicking it violently.

Moments later, the metal door crashed inward.

Stepping inside, he flipped the light switch and surveyed the room.

Unlike the previous room, this one had an earthen floor covered by a large greenhouse structure. Several bright lamps hung from the ceiling.

Realizing it was a plant cultivation room, he immediately retreated and moved to the next door, continuing his violent entry method.

After kicking down three consecutive iron doors, he glanced briefly into each room before moving on.

None of these rooms held the answers he sought.

Surveying the underground plaza of the shelter, he realized there were hundreds of iron doors, far too many to search individually within the limited time.

With time running out, he had no choice but to abandon the search.

He resolved to kick down a few iron doors each time he entered the Dream Realm in the future, eventually exploring every room in the underground shelter.

Leaving the rooms, he headed straight for the database control console.

There, he began searching for foundational cultivation technique courses.

Upon returning to reality, he would officially become a teacher. Without some expertise, he couldn't possibly deliver effective instruction.

He had also promised the cultivation technique class students a lecture on the principles of cultivation technique development.

He needed to back up his bold claims.

For this, he could only find shortcuts in the future database.

As he searched, relevant course titles appeared before him:

Foundational Cultivation Technique Research Principles (Part 1 - Video Lecture)

Foundational Cultivation Technique Research Principles (Part 2 - Video Lecture)

Advanced Cultivation Technique Research Principles (Complete Video Lecture)

Cultivation: Detailed Explanation of the Relationship Between Human Meridians, Acupuncture Points, and Spiritual Energy (Part 1 - Video Lecture)

Cultivation Arts: Differences in Development Between Body Cultivation Techniques and Spirit Cultivation Techniques (Part 3 - Video Lecture)

To his surprise, the database's instructional videos on fundamental cultivation arts research methods were not restricted by the cultivation technique access permissions.

This meant that as long as he had the time, he could review this material endlessly.

He immediately opened the video titled "Fundamental Cultivation Arts Research Methods: Part 1."

As the video popped up, a middle-aged woman in a research uniform appeared on the screen, beginning to explain the foundational principles of cultivation arts research.

He had always been highly motivated to learn.

After quickly centering his mind, he began to listen intently.

Compared to the theoretical foundations of modern cultivation arts research, the theoretical foundations mastered by the Future People were clearly more comprehensive and their fundamental knowledge more solid.

The first instructional video primarily covered the interconnectedness of different Acupuncture Points in the human body, a concept bearing striking similarities to the "Human Circulatory System" described in ancient medicine.

When spiritual energy flowed through the Acupuncture Points, it flushed away accumulated impurities, allowing the energy to circulate smoothly throughout the body.

The purpose of cultivating a cultivation technique was to effectively utilize spiritual energy. By circulating the energy absorbed into the body, the technique nourished the body, strengthened vital energy and blood, fortified the five major organs, and even transformed the energy into a special form that could be stored and absorbed by the body.

The effectiveness of a cultivation technique depended not only on the efficiency of spiritual energy conversion but also on the specific Acupuncture Points involved and the changes they induced in the body.

Different cultivation techniques guide spiritual energy through entirely different pathways of Acupuncture Points within the body, ultimately producing spiritual energy of completely distinct qualities that can merge with the body.

Spiritual energy flows like the connecting lines in a matching game, weaving back and forth between Acupuncture Points. Some points may even require repeated traversal within a single technique, while others—Vital Points—must be avoided altogether. This complexity makes cultivation studies an exceptionally intricate field of knowledge.

Throughout the lecture, Feng Qi nodded repeatedly, absorbing numerous useful insights from the instructional video.

As time passed, the two-hour video concluded.

To ensure the quality of his learning upon returning to reality, he immediately replayed it for review.

He had no idea where little black was now, and waiting outside would clearly be a waste of time. So he chose to study while he waited.

Halfway through his second viewing, the Narrator's cough echoed in his mind:

Ahem!

Hearing the prompt, Feng Qi immediately turned toward the metal corridor without hesitation.

Sure enough, little black, shrouded in black mist, was descending from the metal corridor.

Seeing this, Feng Qi lowered his gaze to the Suction Cup, who lay sleeping with her eyes closed, and solemnly declared:

"I'm sorry. I'll avenge you when I return!"
