Alan found himself sitting in a chair situated before a large ornate desk, where a man who looked to be in his early 40s sat, a white suit adorned his visidge.
Alan looked around the room his brows rose in surprise and shock. Yes he believed in a creator of some sort, but he wasn't expecting meeting said person or thing to be this mid.
The elderly man stifled a chuckle, confirming that yes he could in fact read the minds of being of lower stature.
"So I'm guessing your god!" Alan said flatly his face conveying his I'm so done with this shit.
The elderly man, or god as many would call him gave Alan a smile. "Yes young man, I am in fact the creator of all things, or as your people like to refer to me as, I am god!" God said.
Alan for his part just nodded his head. "So what now, judgment, reincarnation or something else?" He asked in a nonchalant way.
The old man gave a ruffal smile, he'd hardly gotten souls who reacted this way.
"Unfortunately you died before your alloted time was up!" Explained god as he fixed his suit tie, something Alan knew said person only had to glance or think and said tie would've straightened itself.
God continued. "As you have missed out on a significant amount of life, i shall in turn given you 3 roulette spins." God paused to raise 3 fingers.
He began dropping them as he listed what these 3 spins would decide. "The first spin shall decide, where, when and how you shall reincarnate, the second shall decide what powers, abilities or skills you shall receive as compensation and the third spin shall decide whether you keep your past lifes memories or not!" Finished god, dropping the last raised finger.
Alan after digesting what he'd hear nodded in acceptance, he really had no choice on the matter.
Life may have been boring to some extent, but he'd have loved to live till old age, see if he found someone to spend the remaining of his human years with, have children and be given grandchildren in return.
Alan shook his head free of those thoughts, no sense in being stuck in the past unnecessarily.
Alan looked up and met gods gaze with a resolute one of his own. "I'm ready when you are!" He said and god gave him a nod before, without moving an inch a roulette wheel appeared.
God gestured to the wheel. "Please give the wheel a spin!" He said.
Alan stood from his seat and made his way over to the roulette wheel, placing a hand on it.
Alan took a deep breath before yanking the wheel, causing it to spin rapidly.
Click,click,click,click,click,click.....click....click...click....CLICK!
The wheel came to a stop.
(WORLD: Highschool DxD, Race: Devil, Time: 400 years before the start of cannon!)
Alan saw what the pointer had landed on, causing him to raise his brows, out of all worlds, he got 1 where the so called age of gods never ended!
"Fascinating!" God said as his rubbed his chin. 'That world is 1 of the few where someone could in theory achieve my level of strength!' The old man internally mused before waving his hand causing the wheels contents to shift.
"Go ahead and spin once more!" Said god, now the roulette wheel, would choose what powers,skills or abilities he'd be given in his new life.
Alan breathed in again, this time he was quite nervous, a mid power would have him scraping by, chomping at any bits of power he could get, a overpowered 1 would give him comfort, even if not world ending in itself.
Alan gave roulette wheel another tug, causing the wheel to spin again.

The wheels surface showed something that caused alans brow to shoot up in surprise.
(POWERS: 3 Essences of choice!)
The old man released a contemplative hum as he saw the powers Alan received. 'I wonder what will his choices be?' The old man internally mused.
Alan looked lost for a moment before snapping back to reality. He'd been an avid reader of fictional and fan made literature, so of course he knew what Essences were.
After a while of going over all the known essences in his head Alan made a decision.
He turned to the old man his face resolute. "For the 3 essences, I'd like the essence of the arch mage, the essence of the mad doctor and lastly the essence of the builder!" He said he hands clenched into fist.
These 3 essences would give him the best foundational strength, he knew that devil society although more tame after the Civil War the weak still got trampled on while the strong prosper.
God felt it before he could control himself, a grin so wide it made him look unhinged spread across his wizzen visidge.
'He'll go far.' God thought his eyes now carrying a different look as his gaze settle upon the young man.
Alan for his part mearly felt a little uncomfortable at seeing the grin that spread across the divine beings face.
With a wave the final contents to be spun for appeared.
"Now young Alan, test your luck!" God said his grin never fading from his face.
Alan took another breath. 'This is it!' He thought, this spin would make or break things, he doubted that even with his alotted powers he could somehow regain any memories removed by this divine figure.
Alan tugged with all his might.
Clack,clack,clack,clack,clack,clack,clack,clack...clack...clack.....CLICK!!
Alan breathed out loudly as he saw what the pointer landed on. A big bold YES!!.
Alan pumped his fist. 'Fuck yeah!' He internally roared.
God began clapping his hands in applause. "Many have had this chance but most are not allowed to retain their memories. Congratulations Alan for your luck is exceptional!" The old man boomed with a laugh, as he stood from his seat.
Walking to Alan the old man give his shoulders a pat. "I'll be looking forward to your adventure young man!" He said before snapping his fingers.
Alans vision went black instantly, without even being able to say another thing.

God stood in the place Alan once stood his gaze distant as he watched said young man's soul blaze off towards the draconic deus reality.
"I wish you all the best young man!" God said before turning to return to his seat.
