Chapter 62 - Chapter 62: The Exclusive Battleship About to Begin Construction

Hearing his daughter's gratitude, Siegel smiled gently and nodded, then turned his gaze to the two of them and spoke.

"Alright! Let's not talk about such things anymore. When it's time to eat, we should focus on enjoying our meal!"

These words reached Felix's ears, and he couldn't help but roll his eyes, inwardly grumbling.

'If you hadn't brought it up, who would want to engage in philosophical talk with you here!'

Despite his internal complaints, Felix was quite honest in his actions, picking up every single skewer Siegel had grilled and enjoying them without missing one.

"Eat more!"

Seeing how much Felix was enjoying the food, Siegel's expression softened with kindness as he spoke gently, adding more skewers for Felix.

Noticing the extra skewers Siegel had given him, Felix finished the last bite on his stick and expressed his thanks.

"Thank you, Chairman."

"You're welcome."

Siegel smiled slightly and replied warmly.

...

Around 8 PM

After eating and drinking his fill at the Clyne Residence, Felix bid farewell to Siegel and Lacus.

In front of the Clyne Residence

"Chairman, Miss Lacus, there's no need to see me off any further!"

Looking at the two seeing him off, Felix smiled and politely declined. Siegel and Lacus stopped walking, and Siegel gazed at Felix warmly.

"Feel free to visit often!"

"Absolutely! I will!"

Looking at Siegel, Felix readily agreed.

After saying this, he formally waved goodbye to them, turned around, and got into the car Siegel had arranged to take him away.

Once Felix was seated, the car slowly drove away from the front of the Clyne Residence. Watching until the car disappeared without a trace, Siegel and Lacus turned and headed back inside. Walking beside her father, Lacus looked at him and asked.

"Dad! Is something on your mind?"

"Not at all!"

Turning to his daughter, Siegel smiled as he answered and reached out to ruffle her soft hair. Gazing at his daughter, he continued.

"Lacus, if you ever wish to strive for peace in the future, you can seek him out. But remember, never think about controlling or using him!"

"I understand, Dad."

Facing her father's advice, Lacus nodded and committed his words to heart. Receiving his daughter's response, Siegel said nothing more and continued walking into the villa.

...

In the Car

Sitting in the back seat, Felix rested his chin on one hand and gazed out the window at the scenery. Beneath his appreciative exterior, a faint smile surfaced in his heart.

'Lacus Clyne, we will meet again in the future. When that time comes, let me see if you live up to your portrayal in the original story!'

"Captain Griffith, where would you like to go?"

The driver asked at that moment.

The question interrupted Felix's train of thought. Snapping back to reality, he looked at the driver and said.

"Just take me to the Spaceport."

"Understood, Captain Griffith."

After nodding in response, the driver continued driving quietly.

The vehicle soon arrived at the central hub inside the satellite. Getting out here, Felix headed inside.

He took an elevator to the Hangar near the Spaceport.

In the Hangar at the Spaceport where Dawn was docked

Felix, now changed into his Combat Suit, completed the handover ceremony with the Maintenance crew. Just as he was about to pilot Dawn and depart, a communication came through.

Answering the call, Patrick's face appeared on the communication screen.

"Chairman!"

Seeing Patrick, Felix greeted him respectfully.

Patrick looked at Felix, a rare teasing smile appearing on his serious expression.

"How was the meal at Siegel's place?"

"It was quite good. We had a pleasant conversation."

In response to Patrick's inquiry, Felix answered directly without any concealment. Hearing this, Patrick smiled and asked in a tone that was both teasing and serious.

"Could you tell me about it?"

"Of course." Felix nodded and replied, then continued. "The Chairman asked me some questions about when the war would end and who would be the victor. Beyond that, there wasn't anything else."

After speaking, he looked at Patrick and asked.

"Chairman, do you have any other matters?"

"The Ministry of Defense has decided to build a faster, higher-capacity High-speed Battleship for your team. Go communicate with the design bureau in Martius City and convey your requirements and such."

Patrick, no longer asking about other matters, informed Felix of the official business. After listening, Felix nodded to Patrick.

"I understand, Chairman."

"Mhm!"

With an affirmative sound, Patrick ended the communication with Felix.

After the communication ended, Felix piloted Dawn away from the Spaceport in District One of Aprilius City, traveling through space toward the district in Martius City where battleship manufacturing was located.

Arriving at the Spaceport here, he completed the handover and parked Dawn in the Hangar of this Spaceport.

Exiting the cockpit, he went to the changing room to change out of his suit, then took an elevator into the satellite's interior.

Early the next morning

After waking up in a local hotel and freshening up, Felix headed to the corresponding Scott Ship and Vessel Design Bureau.

In the design bureau's office building

"Welcome!"

Clint, the head of the design bureau, entered the reception room with an enthusiastic smile, speaking warmly.

Seeing the enthusiastic Clint, Felix stood up and responded with a warm smile.

"Mr. Clint, you're too kind."

"Not at all! Not at all! It's only proper."

Modestly dismissing the praise, Clint gestured for Felix to sit down.

As Felix sat, he also invited Clint to take a seat.

After the two had taken their seats, Clint inquired.

"Captain Griffith, do you have any specific requirements for this specially constructed vessel for your team?"

"If I may ask, what confirmed specifications have already been established for this warship?" Felix asked humbly in response to Clint's question. Clint, who had been questioned in this manner, did not take offense and replied calmly.

"Currently, the only specifications for this warship are the Defense Ministry's requirements for greater speed and larger carrying capacity. There are no other mandatory indicators."
