Heaven's POV
I opened my eyes and saw that it was morning. The ointment Desmond applied to my cheeks to help with my pain has worked like a charm.
I didn't feel any pain throughout the night and I had slept like a Pup.
I sat up and stretched my body expecting to see Becca bustling around putting things in order like she usually does.
But the room was unusually quiet. The little cot at the corner was empty. It wasn't even squeezed to show that she had slept in it this morning.
I looked towards the bathroom and I heard noises. She was probably the one. I tapped my knuckles on the bedside table to make a sound trying to get her attention but there was no answer.
Suddenly, the door to the bathroom opens and Mrs Higgins walks out.
"Good morning, Heaven," she said.
She didn't look at me. She was focused on the dirty cloth on the table.
I came down from the bed and tapped her on her arm. When I finally got her attention, I pointed towards the cot.
