With the addition of the two Konoha squads, the situation quickly reversed.
The rogue ninja and wandering samurai were powerful against Yugakure, but they were no match for the Konoha shinobi.
Even Obito, who frequently messes up, had now mastered the Great Fireball Technique.
For rogue ninja who rarely had access to high-level Jutsu, the Great Fireball Technique was considered quite powerful.
As for Guy and Kakashi, they immediately started a competition to quickly defeat the enemies, venting the frustration they had built up onto these rogues and ronin.
With Rin and Shizune, two Medical Ninja, in the group, the team's endurance was also guaranteed.
"Well done," Hizashi said with a satisfied nod. He kept a slight distance from the front lines, as he still needed to focus on protecting Rin and Shizune.
"Useless! They're all useless!" Kazu, hiding in the shadows, watched his hired rogue ninja and samurai retreat, furious. "It's those Konoha brats spoiling my plans again!"
He suppressed his rage and looked fawningly at the man next to him, who had long green hair and carried two swords on his back: "Lord Raiga, those failures are completely unreliable. We have to rely on you."
Having witnessed the brutality of the powerful ninja from the Great Shinobi Nations, Kazu's attitude had done a complete 180-degree turn.
Raiga Kurosuki narrowed his eyes, looking like a large Kappa. "The enemy is not simple. Those five kids are nothing, but the Hyūga ninja... if I'm not mistaken, he should be Hizashi Hyūga, the brother of the Hyūga Clan head."
"He's just an heir who relies on his family's reputation. How can he compare to a true powerhouse like you, Lord Raiga, who travels the world relying solely on your own strength?" Kazu poured on the flattery. "In the face of the might of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist, not even the Konoha Sannin are a match!"
"That's going too far, too far," Raiga Kurosuki said with a modest smile, waving his hand. "The Konoha Sannin still carry some weight. Perhaps they are slightly better than me."
Kazu praised him: "Lord Raiga is truly too humble. So, about intervening?"
"Intervening is certainly fine, but the price won't be the one we agreed upon before," Raiga said, rubbing his fingers together.
"Naturally," Kazu smiled, presenting a long sword.
Raiga's expression chilled: "A single sword?"
"This is no ordinary sword, but the Raijin Sword (Thunder God Sword), once used by the Second Hokage," Kazu swung it lightly. A blue arc of light shot out from the blade, easily slicing through the wall.
"The Raijin Sword?" Raiga Kurosuki stood up in surprise. "How do you possess the Thunder God Sword?"
Kazu chuckled proudly: "It was an offering from a follower of our Jashin Cult. I suspect that when the Second Hokage was being pursued, he didn't want the Cloud Village to get his weapon, so he discarded the Raijin Sword in the Land of Frost before he died. One of our followers later found it."
Raiga didn't care about the truth of the story. He was only subconsciously asking out of shock. As long as it was the real Raijin Sword, it didn't matter how Kazu acquired it.
"Haha! I can't believe the Raijin Sword has fallen into my hands! This must be a sign of destiny!" Raiga excitedly swung the Raijin Sword for a moment, then took out the Kiba (Thunder Swords) he carried on his back. He hesitated for a moment.
The Kiba were a matched pair of twin swords. Replacing one with the Raijin Sword might not necessarily increase his power.
Raiga thought for a moment and quickly came up with an idea: "I know! From now on, I'll use a Three-Sword Style! I'll just bite down on another sword!"
Seeing Raiga lost in his fantasy, Kazu reminded him: "Lord Raiga?"
Raiga snapped back to attention and laughed heartily: "Don't worry, I'll take care of those Konoha ninja for you."
With that, Raiga, displaying remarkable professionalism, headed outside.
After dispatching another rogue ninja, Obito couldn't help but put his hands on his hips, thinking cockily, "Wow, my power is actually pretty incredible."
Just then, Obito saw a man with three swords strapped to his back walking toward him.
"A samurai, too? They see the great Lord Obito and still dare not run?" Obito quickly performed hand seals. "Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique!"
However, the man on the opposite side merely drew a sword and casually slashed it, easily splitting the fireball in half.
"How is that possible?" Obito couldn't believe his eyes. He was always highly emotional, and with his confidence soaring, that Great Fireball was arguably the best he had ever performed.
"Heh, managing to use the Great Fireball Jutsu to that extent is pretty decent," Raiga chuckled as he approached. The blade of his sword flashed with lightning chakra, the jumping blue light instantly chilling Obito's hands and feet.
"Obito, run!" Rin was the first to notice the change on Obito's side and shouted a warning.
"I... I can't. I can't move at all," Obito was terrified, cold sweat pouring down. "What's happening to me?"
"You haven't even experienced killing intent before? Are you a newborn hatchling fresh out of the Academy?" Raiga laughed. He suddenly spun around and slashed backward.
Kakashi, who had lunged forward with a kunai, was sent flying, but in that very instant, Guy, coming from a blind spot, landed a flying kick that sent Raiga soaring.
After crashing through a wall, Raiga was completely buried in the rubble.
"Haha! Joint operation success!" Guy grinned, giving Kakashi a thumbs-up.
"Be careful, that enemy is no ordinary opponent," Kakashi said, not letting joy cloud his judgment.
Sure enough, a dazzling flash of lightning erupted from the rubble, and a figure sprinted out, charging directly at Guy.
Guy reacted quickly, dodging immediately, but the lightning chakra on the enemy's sword suddenly surged, extending significantly and piercing through Guy's lower abdomen.
Kakashi rushed forward, gripping lightning chakra in his hand, making a piercing cry like a thousand birds chirping simultaneously.
"Lightning Release?" Raiga sneered, drawing the second Kiba sword and clashing it against Kakashi's Chidori (One Thousand Birds).
In an instant, Kakashi was blasted away, blood spraying into the air.
"How could this happen? Why did such a powerful enemy suddenly appear?" Obito couldn't comprehend it. Kakashi and Guy were so strong, yet they were defeated in an instant by this opponent.
"I have to go save them!" Obito fought past his fear. Just as he was about to rush forward, a palm strike that hit the air suddenly landed on the enemy, forcing him to retreat rapidly. Another figure then quickly rescued Guy.
"Lord Hizashi!" Obito cheered, finally feeling the reliability of a Jōnin.
After rescuing Guy, Hizashi handed him over to Shizune and Rin. He then turned to the enemy with a grave expression: "The great Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist—do you only bully children?"
Raiga laughed: "In the eyes of a ninja, age is meaningless. As long as someone is identified as an enemy, I can strike them down, even if they are a baby."
Hizashi spoke in a heavy voice: "A famed ninja like you—are you only here to slaughter civilians? What exactly is your objective?"
Raiga shrugged: "We are ninja. We simply accept employment. As for the employer's motives, that is not within our consideration."
Seeing that Hizashi still wanted to ask more questions, Raiga cut him off: "I don't think you accepted a mission to protect Yugakure, did you? I don't actually want to fight a Jōnin. If you leave now, I promise I won't interfere with you."
Hizashi was tempted, but then he heard Obito shout angrily: "Give it up! We will never bow down to a bad guy like you!"
Hizashi couldn't help but give a wry smile, and Raiga actually laughed out loud: "Good guys and bad guys? Your Konoha's understanding of shinobi is truly naive. You don't actually believe that ninja exist to uphold justice, do you?"
