Chapter 55 - Chapter 55: You Are All Glorious Employees of the Frieza Group!

Tony closed his eyes.

In front of him, Magneto, Erik Lehnsherr, slowly raised his hand.

A flash of complexity crossed the old man's eyes, but it was overshadowed by a cold will to survive.

"I'm sorry, Stark. For the future of mutantkind, please die."

HUM—!

The magnetic field rotated.

Inside Tony's body, the tiny metal shrapnel residue from his old injury, as well as the iron in his blood, instantly revolted.

"Urgh..."

Tony only managed a muffled grunt.

The next second, countless tiny metal spikes erupted from his blood vessels and internal organs.

Instantly destroying his brain and heart.

Iron Man, Tony Stark.

Died quietly just like that, inside the armor he was most proud of.

Meanwhile, on the other side.

"No! Don't! I don't want to die! I'm just a kid!"

Spider-Man, Peter Parker, retreated in terror, his Spidey-Sense screaming frantically.

But in this desperate situation, the alarm was useless except to increase his fear.

He watched the Black King Shaw and Azazel approaching step by step, tears streaming down his face uncontrollably.

He was only a teenager. He still had Aunt May. He hadn't even gone to college yet.

"Uncle Ben said... with great power..."

Peter tried to shoot a web to fight back, but his trembling hands couldn't aim at all.

"Remember to check your horoscope in your next life, kid."

Sebastian Shaw sneered, absorbing the kinetic energy from Azazel's teleportation, and threw a punch.

BANG!

The punch punched straight through Peter's frail chest.

The flame of a young life was extinguished completely in that moment.

As for the remaining heroes like Black Panther...

Crushed under Apocalypse's terrifying telekinesis, they couldn't even make a move to resist before being twisted into pretzels.

Blood stained the ruins red.

Not far away, Professor X and Mr. Fantastic squeezed their eyes shut, their bodies trembling slightly.

They could hear the screams, feel the despair of those lives fading away.

But they didn't move.

They couldn't move.

Because that white demon was watching them with interest.

Seemingly expecting them to make some foolish move of resistance.

"Those who understand the times are wise."

Frieza looked at their reactions and nodded in satisfaction.

The cleanup went quickly.

In less than ten minutes, the once-noisy battlefield fell completely silent.

The Avengers, the organization that once protected the Earth.

Aside from the few who surrendered, everyone was wiped out.

Frieza hovered in mid-air again.

He turned to face the live broadcast camera that had been faithfully recording everything.

Through this lens, surviving humans all over the world saw this scene.

Despair spread like a plague.

Frieza wore an elegant, warm, even kind smile on his face.

"Good afternoon, residents of Earth."

Frieza's voice was broadcast globally, clearly reaching every corner.

"I am your new master, and the sole legal owner of this planet, Frieza."

"First, I have some good news to announce."

Frieza held up a finger.

"Those government agencies that do nothing but cause trouble and waste taxpayer money are hereby abolished as of today."

"In the future, you won't need to vote for anyone, nor worry about partisan squabbles."

"Because from now on, you have only one identity—"

"Glorious employees, or should I say slaves, of the Frieza Group."

Saying this, the smile on Frieza's lips grew even brighter.

"I know, you might misunderstand the word 'slave' and think it sounds unpleasant."

"But this Emperor is a benevolent boss."

"To help you serve me better, I have decided to implement a brand-new work system."

Frieza held up four fingers.

"From now on, each person only needs to work 4 hours a day."

"And only 3 days a week."

"The rest of the time, you can eat, drink, play, and enjoy life to your heart's content."

"As for housing, cars, medical care, and education—all free! Distributed uniformly by the Frieza Group!"

As soon as these words came out, the global audience, previously plunged into despair, was stunned.

What's going on?

Work 4 hours a day? Work 3 days, rest 4?

Free healthcare and housing for everyone?

This is slavery? This sounds like heaven, doesn't it?!

Even many corporate drones currently suffering under the 996 grind weren't scared upon hearing this; instead, they were kinda tempted.

If this is what being a slave is like, then being a slave isn't so bad!

Watching the Fear Points in the system backend suddenly stagnate and even drop, Frieza sneered internally.

Stupid humans.

"However—"

Frieza changed the subject, his scarlet eyes turning cold instantly.

"There is a condition."

"That is, on this planet, no one has the right to own private property."

"Everything you produce, everything you create, even your lives, belong to the Group."

"I will not allow anyone to be richer than others, nor anyone to be poorer."

"Absolute equality, absolute obedience."

"If anyone dares to hoard wealth or attempts to slack off..."

Frieza pointed to the pile of gore on the ground that used to be Captain America.

"That is the consequence."

This extreme utopian management might look beautiful, but in reality, it reduced humans to livestock completely.

No desire, no competition, just routine survival and reproduction.

This is the highest form of domination.

"Hill!" Frieza called out without looking back.

"Master!"

Maria Hill responded immediately via the comms channel.

"I'll leave the detailed plan to you. I want to see my 'Fu' flag hanging on government buildings across the globe within three days."

"Yes!"

Having arranged all this, Frieza slowly raised his head.

His gaze pierced the atmosphere, looking toward the boundless starry sky.

Earth was taken.

But this was just the beginning.

As a Galactic Emperor, his journey was the sea of stars.

"This broken Earth's tech level is too low. They can't even build a ship capable of interstellar travel."

Frieza pouted in disdain.

Although he had recruited geniuses like Reed Richards, you can't make bricks without straw. Earth's industrial base was too poor.

To expand the real estate business to the entire universe, he needed more advanced technology and spaceships.

"I heard the Nova Corps on Xandar has very advanced technology?"

Frieza stroked his chin, a greedy glint flashing in his eyes.

"Looks like the next destination for conquest is confirmed."

The corner of Frieza's mouth curled into an evil smile.

"Let your advanced technology pave the way for this Emperor's conquest of the universe."

"Ohohoho..."
