Chapter 58 - A New Partner Beside

Chapter—A New Partner Beside.

The wind howled across the Pacific Ocean as Auron flew home.

Below him, the endless water stretched like a dark mirror, reflecting fragments of moonlight. The journey back felt quieter than the chase, heavier than the escape. His body moved automatically, but his mind was still echoing with voices—bullets of light, orders shouted through loudspeakers, cameras pointed at his face.

Yet now, for the first time in day, the pain was gone.

The crushing pressure inside his chest had eased.

The shaft at his side pulsed faintly, its blue crystal dim but steady, grounding the chaos that once threatened to tear him apart.

Auron slowed as his home city came into view.

He landed silently on the roof of his house.

And waited.

Minutes passed.

Then—

The front door below opened.

Shuri came back from US and entered the house, chatting casually about Auramaster and his diapperance with someone beside her.

Luke.

Or rather—

Luke's illusion.

Auron watched carefully as the illusion laughed lightly, nodded, and walked inside like nothing had happened. Once Shuri disappeared into her room, the illusion moved toward Luke's bedroom.

That was the moment.

Auron slipped down from the roof, entering through the window in complete silence. As soon as the illusion stepped inside the room—

Reality folded.

The illusion dissolved into mist.

And Auron transformed.

Darkness receded, armor fading, wings collapsing into nothingness.

Luke stood there instead—breathing, human, hidden.

The shaft vanished from sight, blending into his form the same way the gloves did.

No one noticed.

No one ever did.

Luke locked the door.

Only then did his shoulders finally drop.

---

A Calm After Pain

Luke sat on his bed and slowly made the shaft visible again.

He held it carefully, almost reverently, turning it in his hands as if it were something fragile. The black surface absorbed light, while the blue crystal at its head reflected it softly, like a quiet heartbeat.

His aura was calm.

No burning.

No pressure.

No scream clawing from inside.

"…It worked," Luke whispered.

Auru floated beside him, her golden glow gentle and warm.

"Yes," she said softly. "It grounded and control your negative Aura which I could not. "

Luke studied the shaft closely.

"The gloves created you," he said thoughtfully. "But this didn't create anything… at least, not immediately."

He looked at her.

"Why?"

Auru's smile faltered.

Just slightly.

Luke noticed.

"…Auru?" he asked. "Why do you look sad?"

She hesitated.

Then sighed.

"This shaft was made to control negative aura," she said. "Most people avoid creating negative aura creature from such tools. Negative aura creature are often… harsh. Unstable. Rude."

She lowered her eyes.

"It is created from the opposite of me."

Luke froze.

"…Opposite?"

"Yes," she said quietly. "If a creature is created from this shaft… it would be my counterpart."

Understanding dawned on Luke's face.

"You're afraid," he said gently, "that if I create it… I'll care less about you."

Auru didn't answer.

She didn't need to.

Luke stood up.

He stepped closer and spoke softly, carefully.

"Auru, you are my positive aura. That will never change."

He paused, then smiled faintly.

"But do you know this symbol?"

He drew it in a book there.

Yin-yang☯️.

"In every positive side, there is a little darkness," he said.

"And in every negative side, there is a little light."

He looked at the shaft.

"Yes, the creature born from it will be made from my negative aura," he admitted. "But that doesn't mean it's entirely bad. There will be something good inside it too."

Auru looked at him.

Slowly, her expression softened.

"…You promise never leave me alone?" she asked.

"I promise," Luke replied.

He gripped the shaft.

Closed his eyes.

And focused.

---

The Birth of Koru

The crystal at the top of the shaft

Start to flared brightly.

A pulse of energy exploded outward.

The room darkened instantly, shadows stretching unnaturally across the walls. A black glow filled the space—not empty darkness, but something heavy, dense, alive.

Luke felt it.

A pressure—not painful, but overwhelming.

A presence.

Slowly, a figure formed.

Black-tinted.

Humanoid.

Its aura pressed outward, subtly draining strength from everything around it.

Then it spoke.

"Hello," the creature said sharply.

"I am your negative aura creature. Give me a name—and food."

Luke blinked.

"…Wow," he muttered.

Auru immediately flared.

"You cannot speak to him like that!" she snapped. "You were just created!"

The creature scoffed.

"I said nothing wrong," it replied harshly. "I am hungry. I cannot control it."

"You always Act like this without thinking anything ahead"Auru said.

"I am not like your the shop of overthinker."creature said.

And they start to debate as two closed friend separated again got reunited.

Luke stood there, watching them.

Then—

He laughed.

The sound surprised both of them.

"I was wondering how you'd react," Luke said, smiling tiredly. "But it looks like you already know each other and look like a friend."

Both spoke at the same time.

"We are NOT friends."

They glared at each other.

"I know her because she is your positive aura," the creature said coldly.

"And I know him because he is your negative aura," Auru shot back.

Auru added"I am much better them him."

The creature added"Huh,Appreciating herself only,I am the best.

They began arguing,clashing instantly again.

Luke raised his hands.

"Okay, okay—stop."

Both fell silent.

Luke looked at the creature thoughtfully.

"…You need a name."

"Yes," the creature said impatiently. "Give me one. And food."

Luke closed his eyes for a moment.

Then—

"Koru."

The creature tilted its head.

"…Koru," it repeated. "I like it."

Auru sighed.

Luke smiled.

From that night on—

Luke had two aura partners.

Auru.

And Koru.

Luke lay down on his bed, exhaustion finally claiming him. Auru dimmed her glow softly. Koru leaned against the wall, arms crossed, already bored saying that can we play something. Auru was just going to say and start a clash but Luke stop Auru.

Then Luke slept .

Far away—

A woman stood in the dark, watching a paused image of Auron vanishing into the sky.

A man entered the room.

"Ma'am," the assistant said. "All preparations for Japan are complete."

The woman didn't turn.

"…Why Japan?" the assistant asked cautiously.

She smiled faintly.

"That's my decision," she replied. "You just do your job."

The assistant bowed and left.

The woman stepped closer to the screen.

"I'm coming, Auramaster," she whispered.

"I know you live in Japan."

She picked up a dart.

Kaizen Ryuga's photo lay nearby.

"Kaizen is slow," she said calmly. "He is great in power but not good in

chasing,he can be evaded."

She threw the dart.

It struck Auron's image perfectly.

"But I," she smiled, "have experience catching people."

Her eyes gleamed.

"You cannot escape the eyes and hands of the Auramaster of America."

"Be prepared Auramaster."
