Chapter 41 - A new name and exams days.

Chapter—A new name and exams days.

Luke returned home quietly that night.

The room was dark except for the faint glow of the city lights slipping in through the window. He sat on his bed, resting his elbows on his knees, staring at the floor. For the first time in days, there was no urgency—no crack, no devil, no scream echoing through corrupted space.

Just silence.

And thought.

"A name…" Luke murmured.

He remembered Mizu's words.

A name that protected the person behind it.

A name that existed only for the world that needed saving.

He looked toward the faint blue glow hovering beside him.

"Auru," Luke said softly, "when I transform… what name should I use?"

Auru's light flickered gently, like a quiet laugh.

"I can suggest names," Auru replied, "but a name like this must be born from you. It should feel natural—like it was always yours."

Luke leaned back, eyes closing.

He thought of everything.

The aura.

The sky.

The power that didn't belong to a king, but to a guardian.

Something ancient… yet calm.

Minutes passed.

Then Luke opened his eyes.

"…I got it."

Auru brightened. "Tell me."

Luke's voice was steady.

"When I stand as an Auramaster… we will be called Auron."

The name echoed softly in the room.

Auron.

For a brief moment, Auru's light trembled violently—like it had been struck by something invisible. Images flashed through its glow, fragments of memories that refused to take shape.

Auru went silent.

Luke noticed immediately.

"Auru?" Luke asked. "What happened?"

Auru's glow stabilized, though it felt… distant.

"…Nothing," Auru replied after a pause. "Just a strange feeling. But I'm happy with your name."

Luke frowned slightly but didn't push further.

"If you say so," he said.

He stood up, stretching.

"Tomorrow, we won't patrol," Luke added. "Exams are getting close. I need to prepare—especially that loop problem. I need at least eighty marks in the last exam."

Auru's tone softened. "I'll help you."

Luke smiled faintly.

The Days of Exams

From that day onward, Luke stopped patrolling completely.

No night flights.

No distant rescues.

No sightings.

And that absence didn't go unnoticed.

Kaizen sat in his office, staring at an empty map.

"No sightings for days…" he muttered. "Did something happen to him?"

Frustration crept into his chest.

"If I can't find him before the deadline…" Kaizen clenched his fist. "Damn it."

Meanwhile, Luke's world had shrunk again—to desks, notebooks, and exam halls.

Surprisingly… it felt normal.

Almost comforting.

Exams were conducted just like the old days. Quiet halls, strict invigilators, pens scratching paper. Luke focused deeply, solving each question with full concentration.

One exam after another.

Physics.

Maths.

Logic.

He gave everything.

When the final exam ended, Luke stepped out of the hall and let out a long breath.

"It's over…"

After the Last Exam

That evening, Luke and his friends gathered together.

Liod stretched his arms wide. "Finally! We survived!"

Uno exhaled dramatically. "That was exhausting… but honestly, it feels like a huge weight is gone."

Marin crossed his arms confidently. "I think I'll score around ninety-one to ninety-five."

Luke chuckled. "Marin, I think I wrote around the same. Looks like competition won't end even after exams."

Marin smirked. "I wouldn't expect anything less."

Chika looked at them and asked, "So… which universities are you all aiming for?"

One by one, everyone shared their choices.

Different universities.

Different paths.

As the names were spoken, silence slowly followed.

They all understood what it meant.

This was the last time they'd stand together like this—as students.

Luke looked at his friends, smiling softly.

They are sad that cannot meet same as before

But still they can because they are friend and the member of Aurafiest.

But the world is changing drastically.

And in chnaging world,

No one knew that while their futures were separating…

Auron had just been born.

And the world would soon learn that name.
