Chapter 108 - The Leader of the Shinobi World

The shattered remains of the five-color holy sword scattered like dull glass across the rooftop.

Soren Uchiha turned the remaining hilt in his fingers, his eyes narrowing thoughtfully.

"So… chakra-based power and this world's magic repel each other."

His voice was low, calm, analytical.

"Chakra is made from physical energy, spiritual energy, and natural energy—refined into a single system.

But magic here… it feels like it's built on a different core law. Not hostile—just incompatible. My chakra overwhelmed it."

A breeze rolled across the city walls beneath him. Lamps burned inside the conquered city below, unaware that history had already changed.

Soren leaned forward, eyes reflecting the night sky.

"Different evolution paths… different races… different rules."

He tossed the sword hilt aside.

There was no frustration—only curiosity.

A New Frontier

He remembered something from the original Overlord world:

A world item — an artifact that warped reality and allowed humans in this world to borrow magic originally exclusive to dragons.

"A mutation in the system… yet also proof that rules here can be overridden."

His fingers tapped thoughtfully against his arm.

"That means things here can be learned. Broken down. Absorbed. Reshaped."

A slow grin crossed his face.

"If Ainz Ooal Gown exists here… then the true game hasn't even started."

He activated his Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan, gaze sweeping across the entire port city.

"I hope when we meet, Ainz-san, it's as allies—not regrets."

Then with a flicker of chakra, he vanished.

Morning — A New Era

Sunlight warmed the tatami floors of the Hokage residence.

The household slowly returned to life — not quite peaceful, but bonded in its own chaotic way.

By the time Soren arrived at the Hokage Tower, messengers were already moving frantically.

A meeting was waiting.

The Council of the Shinobi World

Inside a massive council hall filled with leaders of every hidden village, Soren sat at the head seat — calm, composed, unquestioned.

Scrolls and reports were placed before him.

"Everyone," Soren began, voice steady, "the discovery of the new continent marks the beginning of a new era. Land, resources, and growth will no longer be limited."

Silence fell.

Even the most stubborn Kage leaned forward.

Soren continued:

"Seven days from now, Konoha will establish three continent-scale teleportation gates."

Gasps echoed around the room.

"With them, every village may access the new world."

A pause — then his expression cooled.

"But access does not mean equality."

A New System

Soren's tone sharpened.

"In six days, the political map of the Shinobi World will be finalized.

Rank, land, and authority will no longer be symbolic — they will be measurable."

He raised a hand.

"Promotion to jonin will require survival and merit in the Black Horn Domain.

Shadow-level villages must maintain at least one Kage-class and one hundred active Jonin.

Fail to meet the standard — and territory will be reassigned."

The room became heavy. Leaders exchanged tense glances.

Then Soren stood.

His gaze swept across every shinobi leader — and none dared look away.

"Konoha will become the capital of the Shinobi World."

"From today onward—"

His voice echoed like a decree carved into stone.

"I abandon the title of Hokage."

"From this moment… I am the First Head of the Shinobi World."

For a heartbeat — silence.

Then, the Mizukage rose first and bowed deeply.

"The Mist congratulates the Head of the Shinobi World!"

The rest followed — some willingly, some choking on pride — but all bowed.

After the Meeting

Later, in Soren's office, Uzumaki Mito and Uzumaki Minako handed him the compiled numbers.

"Twenty-four thousand civilian shinobi across the world.

Ten thousand combat shinobi — three thousand belong to Konoha."

Soren flipped through the report.

"So Rain and Iwagakure are closest to qualifying as the next Shadow Village."

Mito nodded.

"The conflict will be fierce. But with the new continent… perhaps necessary."

Soren leaned back.

"A fight is inevitable. And fair."

His tone softened — just slightly.

"Let them compete. With reason. I'll prevent unnecessary tragedy."

Mito exhaled — tension easing.

"Wise."

New Names. New Futures.

Before leaving, Soren asked:

"And the Uzumaki matter?"

Mito folded her hands.

"Uzumaki Ashina will send a newborn girl to Konoha — a future jinchūriki candidate."

Soren lifted a brow.

"…her name?"

"Uzumaki Kushina."

Just then, Uchiha Zhili entered with soft footsteps.

"Ah — and there's news from the Uchiha side as well," she said gently.

"A newborn was just delivered — the granddaughter of the late Elder Kazama."

Soren paused.

"…Name?"

Zhili smiled.

"Uchiha Mikoto."

Soren froze.

Then slowly dragged a hand down his face.

The new era had begun — and fate clearly planned no dull moments.
