Chapter 188 - Garcia's Criminal Evidence

And after Luke became Vice-Chairman, he similarly delivered a set of documents to the Vice-Chairman's office.

What Beans never expected was… the documents he sent to the Chairman's office sank into the sea as usual, no response at all.

Beans was already used to this and didn't feel anything about it.

However… from inside the Vice-Chairman's office, one reply after another came out.

Every method and approach for handling the various documents shocked Beans; it made him subconsciously feel as if someone was still inside that office.

So, more documents continued to be sent there.

And every time they were sent, they were answered.

Moreover, the solutions and methods provided made Beans continuously nod in approval; they were extremely well done.

Thus, Beans gradually relied more and more on the Vice-Chairman's office.

Until Beans encountered a relatively important and very complex task.

He thought of going directly to the Vice-Chairman's office to discuss how to solve and handle it.

Then another staff member reminded him that Vice-Chairman Luke had already gone out on public business.

Only then did Beans snap back to reality and realize something was wrong.

If Luke had already left, then who had been helping him handle all the administrative files during this entire time?!

Naturally, Beans recalled the time when he went to the Vice-Chairman's office, how that proof of Luke going out for official business suddenly flew in front of him.

Obviously, there was no way that room was that simple.

Even if Luke was gone, he had definitely left many arrangements behind.

"Either it's an invention, or some other form of assistance..."

Realizing this, Beans associated it with Luke's usual methods and abilities.

He sighed and came to such a conclusion.

But regardless of what it was, as long as it could help with his work, provide assistance, and lighten his load, and considering that even by the standards of someone with his many years of experience, the handling of the documents was extremely smooth, extremely high-level…

It could be said to be neat and orderly, reasonable and convincing.

This was why Beans hadn't realized anything earlier.

He was entirely focused on resolving the pile of complicated tasks as quickly as possible, not noticing how fast they were being resolved.

Certainly not like Chairman Netero, who was a complete hands-off boss.

In any case, since Luke provided him with a channel that could help share the pressure, Beans was quite satisfied.

So, whenever Luke needed him to do something, help cover up something, help handle the procedures for his public leave, or the transfer of the credentials for the Special Investigator of the International Court, Beans helped smooth everything over.

And then came this document delivered from the Vice-Chairman's office.

"This is... Garcia's criminal evidence?!!"

The moment he got the document, Beans was stunned.

He froze at first. Once he processed it, his confusion turned into shock.

"What is going on?!!"

Having worked in the Hunter Association for so long, one phrase instantly appeared in Beans's mind: "Political strife!!"

Yes. Even though he looked adorable, hardworking, responsible, and honest on the surface...

Anyone who could survive in the Hunter Association, become the Chairman's secretary, and have the authority and ability to communicate directly with top government officials… Beans were definitely not some naïve little rabbit.

He understood the darkness of human nature, internal clashes, and power struggles.

He simply usually ignored them, since they had nothing to do with him.

He treated himself as nothing more than the association's tender, crisp little secretary.

If matters escalated, Chairman Netero would clean up the mess anyway.

So Beans never bothered himself with such things.

Until this time, someone had dragged such matters onto his plate.

Of course, this wasn't the first time something like this had happened.

But in the past, whenever he encountered such things, he immediately passed them to Chairman Netero to handle.

He always maintained a businesslike, procedural attitude.

However, this time, the document came from the Vice-Chairman's office.

And the target was the head of the Hunter Association's examination department, Garcia.

Such an attitude and action... were very interesting indeed.

"Looks like that Garcia must have offended Vice-Chairman Luke somehow..."

Beans shook his head and thought so.

Then he delivered the evidence document to Chairman Netero.

"Maybe he offended him, or maybe he didn't..."

Chairman Netero said while reading the evidence and stroking the beard that had just grown back.

"I heard Garcia was getting pretty close to Pariston."

"And those two often gathered together to scheme... No one knows what they were planning..."

Hearing this, Beans instantly understood.

Either Garcia and Pariston teamed up to make a move against Luke, and Luke discovered it and prepared to counterattack… or they hadn't even started yet, but Luke struck first.

Based on what Beans knew about Luke, he guessed it was the latter.

After all, Luke wasn't the type to passively take hits and only fight back after being targeted.

"Let them fight. As long as they don't make things so big that the entire association becomes a mess."

Chairman Netero casually tossed the evidence onto his tea table.

"Then, about Garcia..."

Beans asked tentatively.

"If he did something wrong, then he must pay the corresponding price."

Chairman Netero lifted the teacup and sipped from it lightly.

"And since someone found evidence of him committing wrongdoing, with witnesses and material evidence, an ironclad fact..."

"Then whatever must be done, must be done."

Beans understood and nodded lightly: "I understand, Chairman."

Yes, the meaning behind Chairman Netero's words was simple: Since Luke and Pariston were having their dispute, let them fight.

Chairman Netero would not favor either side; it was all about who was more capable.

If one failed and their flaws were exposed… then Chairman Netero wouldn't mind letting the Hunter Association enforce justice upon them.

Meaning: everything depends on skill and ability.

If one is inferior and loses… Garcia was the clearest example.

"Let go of me!!!"

Inside the examination department office, Garcia struggled frantically.

After Beans understood Chairman Netero's intentions, it took less than half an hour before a group of wolf-like Hunter Association staff stormed into the examination department office and directly seized Garcia, who had been casually chatting with someone on the phone.

Garcia, seeing a group of large men suddenly rush in, was completely confused.

But only after they all pounced on him and pinned him to the ground did he realize something was wrong.
