Chapter 181 - Spilling The Truth Nonstop

Meanwhile, the atmosphere in that country's court grew serious.

They had also learned of Luke's actions at the airport.

Clearly, in their eyes, Luke and his group had come with ill intentions.

"That person is the new Vice-Chairman of the Hunter Association? He looks quite young."

"Seems like the three fires of his new appointment are aimed at us, huh?!!"

"What does he take us for? Soft persimmons?!!"

"No problem, we already dealt with that Mizaistom Nana before, let alone another one."

"That's right, so what if he's the Vice-Chairman? He's still part of the Hunter Association. International law clearly states that members of the Hunter Association cannot interfere in a country's internal affairs!!"

"Exactly. So we just need to tighten control more strictly, not let them spot any gaps!!"

"Just like how we dealt with that stupid guy last time!!"

"Right, plus the Hunter Association isn't united either. We might even receive additional info from others!!"

"Hmph, with their internal discord, and our external pressure, they're besieged inside and out. Let's see what they can do to fight us!!"

"We hold the advantage!!!"

The parasites of that country's court immediately conjured up all sorts of ways to legally obstruct Luke and his group.

But not one of them mentioned anything about the details of the case itself.

Likewise, none of them cared about the homeless man from Meteor City who had been wrongfully imprisoned.

In their eyes, that guy was already a criminal whose crimes had been confirmed.

A fact judged by them, the supposed embodiments of justice.

They showed no concern for what the actual truth behind the case was…

"What a bunch of bastards!!"

In the hotel, through the Spy Set, Luke and Mizaistom Nana witnessed this entire scene with their own eyes.

Mizaistom Nana was so furious that he couldn't even stay seated.

After the two entered the room, following the principle of know yourself and know your enemy, Luke had taken out the Spy Set to check in advance what those people would do.

It also allowed them to prepare for their upcoming actions and guard against any possible dirty tricks.

But they didn't expect to see this exact scene.

Mizaistom Nana roared in fury, his whole body trembling from anger while pacing the room like an enraged ox.

"How could they dare?! How can they do such things!!"

Mizaistom Nana was nearly shouting in emotional collapse: "They are judges, lawyers, prosecutors!!"

"They represent justice, they uphold the fairness of law!!"

"Why... Why are they like this?!!!"

Mizaistom Nana found it hard to accept.

In his heart, law and justice were sacred and inviolable concepts.

But this group of people, what had they turned the law into?!!

Their complete indifference was practically trampling upon the profession they claimed to carry on their backs!

"They simply aren't worthy of exercising the judgment of the law!!"

Mizaistom Nana practically forced these words out through gritted teeth.

As a legal practitioner who truly regarded the protection of justice as the creed of his life, Mizaistom Nana was the one who could least accept such things happening.

Although he also knew this wasn't the fault of law and justice themselves, but rather…

"Rather, it's the problem of this country itself."

Luke wasn't surprised. "To the point that those who are supposed to uphold justice ignore the basic standards of law and let such things happen."

"The ones at fault aren't law and justice themselves, but those who outwardly uphold them, bear their names, serve as their representatives, yet betray them."

"So what we must do is send these guys who are unworthy of carrying the name of justice to the places they belong."

Luke clapped his hands. "Then let the truly righteous people like you take the positions they should be sitting in."

Mizaistom Nana was still full of lingering anger.

But after hearing what Luke said, he nodded in strong agreement.

He had even come to understand a certain truth himself.

"When dealing with people who are not ordinary, one should also use extraordinary methods."

Mizaistom Nana said in a deep voice: "People like these shouldn't be treated too leniently!!"

Even if the law emphasized that everyone possessed corresponding human rights.

But when these people deliberately persecute and strip others of their human rights, then they themselves should not enjoy those rights.

"Having such thoughts shows that you've grown a lot..."

Luke was quite gratified. If previously Mizaistom Nana's idealism had been a bit too heavy, then now he was clearly progressing toward a fusion of ideals and reality.

Especially after becoming one of the Zodiac Twelve, Mizaistom Nana's development and professional growth would only accelerate.

"Leave the rest to me."

Luke couldn't be bothered to continue entangling with that group any further.

Since they were still trying to stall, Luke simply decided to end it quickly.

In the afternoon, Luke and Mizaistom Nana went together to the courthouse and met those people.

To resolve things faster, Luke directly invited many witnesses.

Including, but not limited to, the representative stationed in this country from the Hunter Association, as well as high-ranking officials of this country itself.

Even the official diplomatic representatives from the V5 embassy that are stationed here.

Considering the one extending the invitation was a Vice-Chairman of the Hunter Association, these ambassador-level representatives had to give him that much face.

Not to mention, who knew what kind of personality and working style this newly appointed Vice-Chairman had?

This was a perfect opportunity to interact and observe.

And since the other side was making such a big scene, clearly intending something unusual regarding this case, there was going to be a good show to watch…

Sharing similar thoughts, the group accompanied Luke and Mizaistom Nana in a mighty procession toward the courthouse.

The man suspected to be the court president and the leading judge, an elderly man, walked out.

His head was full of white hair, and his expression was stern.

Judging by his appearance, his features seemed firm and upright, someone who seemed truly righteous and unyielding, a man of iron-fist justice.

But when he was greeting Luke and shaking hands, Luke quietly stuck a Truth Sticker onto him.

"Yes, we don't actually have concrete evidence proving that the homeless man was the murderer."

Under the stunned gazes of everyone present, the stern-faced court president began spilling the truth nonstop: "At the crime scene, there was no evidence pointing to that homeless man as the perpetrator."
