Chapter 166 - I Only Believe In These Fists Of Mine!

"Hohoho..."

As if reading the thoughts of the people around, Chairman Netero stroked his beard and laughed: "Since I brought you all into the Zodiac, and said you would participate in the review committee and other matters, then your voices absolutely won't be meaningless."

"In this appointment of the new Vice-Chairman, you all have the right to speak. And I will present your opinions to the entire association..."

As he said this, Chairman Netero swept his gaze around the room and finally stopped on Luke: "This was proposed by Luke himself."

"If he wants to become the Vice-Chairman of the Hunter Association, naturally, he must first let you, the Zodiac, get to know him."

Hearing that, the expressions of the members of the Zodiac softened.

Even if Luke and Chairman Netero had probably already come to an agreement in private, at least on the surface, Luke was giving them respect.

At the very least, their opinions were being asked for in this Vice-Chairman issue.

Even if, in their hearts, those opinions were nothing but a formality.

But they still had to be spoken.

And they were all curious about Luke…

"Do you have any other suitable inventions with you?"

The first to speak was Ging Freecss: "If you have more, lend me a few to play with for a couple of days."

Luke, already prepared, glanced at him: "I'll give you a few very interesting inventions later."

He deliberately emphasized the words, very interesting.

"Then I have no objections."

Ging shrugged.

He didn't care about anything else, as long as he could get some of Luke's inventions to mess around with.

Although he wasn't sure what kind of interesting things Luke would give him…

"I have no problem!!"

Ginta immediately raised his hand.

"I know and understand Luke, there's absolutely no problem with him becoming Vice-Chairman!!"

Ginta spoke with an extremely firm tone.

His attitude was like that of a hardcore Luke supporter.

With these two giving a positive start, the other Zodiac members also began to give opinions.

"I have no objections."

Saccho Kobayakawa shook his head.

"I only trust Chairman Netero's judgment."

His tone wasn't stern, but still formal enough.

Just as Chairman Netero told Luke before, if he spoke up in the association, even if some hunters didn't know Luke well, having Chairman Netero's endorsement meant most hunters wouldn't object.

That was Netero's personal prestige.

Obviously, Saccho Kobayakawa didn't know Luke well, but he trusted Chairman Netero enough.

"I'll abstain from voting."

Next was Gel.

As the Poison Hunter, she always acted independently and didn't care about political matters.

Who became Vice-Chairman had nothing to do with her; she had no opinions at all.

With that, four Zodiac members had already expressed no opposition.

Bang!!

Kanzai couldn't hold back anymore.

He stood up directly and stared at Luke with sharp eyes.

"I don't know what's suitable or not suitable, all I know is, if you want to sit in a position higher than mine, you need to show strength matching it."

Kanzai revealed his tiger-like fangs: "I fully acknowledge Chairman Netero's strength, I submit wholeheartedly."

"So I listen to him. If he tells me to be part of the Zodiac, I'll become part of the Zodiac."

"If he tells me to agree with someone, then I won't argue."

"But..."

He exposed his fangs further: "If you want to hear my opinion, then I have something to say."

"You want to become the association's Vice-Chairman, one rank higher than me, no problem!!"

"But the premise is..."

Kanzai's aura rose: "You must convince me!!"

"I don't believe in anything else, I only believe in these fists of mine!!"

Kanzai's burning gaze was fixed solely on Luke's figure.

His meaning was very clear: he wanted to properly exchange a few blows with Luke and see exactly how strong he was.

If he truly had strength enough to overwhelm him, then don't even talk about the Vice-Chairman, even the association Chairman...

That would still depend on Chairman Netero's opinion.

In any case, Kanzai only believed in his fists and strength.

If Luke's fists were harder than his, then naturally, he would have no issue with Luke stepping on his head.

But if it were the opposite, if Luke's strength were inferior to his… then he would definitely not be so easy to talk to like he was right now…

"No problem."

Faced with Kanzai's provocation, Luke directly agreed in one breath.

"As the association's Vice-Chairman, having strength that can be taken out and shown is only proper."

Luke nodded, then looked at Kanzai and spoke straightforwardly: "Once the meeting ends, pick a time and a place, and I'll accompany you for a few exchanges."

"Hehehe, refreshing!!"

Seeing how readily Luke accepted, Kanzai grinned and clapped his hands sharply: "I like this kind of personality. Honestly, it's way better than those ambiguous guys, who smile on the surface but are full of malice inside, plotting who-knows-what kind of schemes!"

Kanzai instead felt that Luke's temper and character suited his tastes very well, earning his approval and fondness.

At least, he was much better than that guy whom he was subtly mocking.

"Things like this, it's better to be sooner rather than later. Let's do it right after the meeting ends, on the rooftop of this building."

Having fixed the time and place, and seeing that Luke had no objections, Kanzai chuckled and sat down again.

"Then, regarding this agenda, I will reserve my opinion."

Ging Freecss and Ginta chose to support, on account of Luke's invention and for his personal sake.

Saccho Kobayakawa, because of Chairman Netero, directly gave his approval.

Gel and Kanzai, one abstained, and one reserved their opinion.

That meant Luke only needed to win over at most two more people, and the matter would basically be settled.

"I, like Kanzai, will first reserve my opinion."

The next to speak was Mizaistom Nana. He raised his hand and said in a deep voice: "Regarding the filing of the homeless man's murder case, I intend to first observe Mr. Luke's method."

"If it aligns with the code of conduct I have always adhered to, standing on the side of justice, then I will also choose to support him."

The hidden meaning of this sentence was that if it did not align... Then he would oppose him.

"Although I am very grateful that Mr. Luke helped me at my most critical moment, strictly speaking, he saved my life..."

Mizaistom Nana continued solemnly: "But when it comes to matters involving my personal bottom line and principles, I can only stay true to myself."
