Two days later Valentine's Day is over and classes continue as normal. Dan is sitting at his desk as always, but today he was bored.
Josías, Brandon and Jhonatan approach him.
- "What's up Dan? Are you bored too?" Brandon asks.
- "Yeah, really bored."
The three sit at nearby desks and form a circle with Dan to make plans to beat boredom.
- "So what do you think if we go to the mall library to study?" Josías suggests the idea so they can also help him with what he doesn't understand.
- "Sounds like a good idea to me – I'm in!" Brandon exclaimed.
- "Dan, can you come?" Jhonatan asked.
- "Yeah, I'm free today."
- "Then it's decided – after school we'll go to the library," Josías said, excited about the idea.
In Noemí's classroom, Sofía suggested the same idea.
- "Noemí Noemí! Would you like to go to the mall library? We can study together."
Noemí thought for a few seconds.
- "Yeah, okay."
Sofía was happy and hugged Noemí. Emily, who was nearby, heard them and approached.
(Emily is in the same classroom as Noemí)
- "Hi, hey – are you guys going to study at the library?"
Sofía, still hugging Noemí, replied:
- "Yeah – do you want to come?"
Emily smiled at the invitation.
- "Yeah, thanks for asking me. I was already bored of studying alone."
Sofía gently pulled Emily to hug her too.
- "Then it'll be an outing for 3 beautiful girls."
Emily laughed and Noemí just smiled a little.
(Sofía and Noemí already knew Emily. They'd talked a bit before.)
Classes continue until they all end.
Sofía stands up quickly.
- "Come on Noemí, hurry –" she gently pulls her by the arm.
- "I'm coming, I'm coming –" Noemí stood up quickly.
Emily was already waiting for them at the classroom door.
- "Let's go!" she said excitedly.
In Dan's classroom, Josías got ready first.
- "Come on, let's buy snacks to eat while we study."
- "Okay, but don't get distracted eating again," Dan said as he stood up with his backpack.
Josías shakes his head no.
- "No, I'm not promising that now."
- "Last time you ate all the snacks – you didn't leave us a single one," Jhonatan reminded him of that moment.
- "You guys weren't eating so I thought you were full and I ate them so they wouldn't go to waste."
Brandon laughs, knowing Josías was just hungry.
- "Yeah, sure."
- "Alright, let's go – I want to sit in the best spot," Jhonatan said as he walked toward the door.
The 4 of them left school together. As they walked, Dan asks Brandon and Jhonatan:
- "How are things going with your girlfriends?"
Jhonatan looks at Dan happily as he thinks of his girlfriend.
- "Really good. You have no idea how much I love her. I want to marry her."
Brandon puts his hands on Dan's shoulders and shakes him.
- "Same here – I'm totally in love, Dan."
Dan rolls his eyes as he's shaken.
- "Yeah, yeah, okay – I get it, you're both really in love."
Josías laughs at their happy looks when they mention their girlfriends.
Brandon looks at Josías.
- "Josías, you should find yourself a girlfriend too."
- "Maybe – I'll think about it," he pretends to think about it, but he's been trying to talk to one specific girl for a long time.
- "What about me? Aren't you going to give me the same advice?" Dan asks.
Jhonatan gets behind him and covers his eyes as a game while they keep walking.
- "Why would we? You have Noemí."
Brandon laughs as he remembers the bet.
- "That's right – you already have your future girlfriend."
Dan moves Jhonatan's hands away from his eyes.
- "Huh? Wasn't it just to make her fall in love and that's it?"
- "Would you really reject her after making her fall for you? How cruel you are, Dan," Brandon says playfully.
- "Damn it –" Dan mumbled.
Josías remembers their conversation about Noemí.
- "But who knows, Dan – maybe you'll end up really falling in love with her."
- "Do you think so? She seems like an... interesting girl."
Brandon nods his head.
- "Yeah, plus she's pretty. She's just shy."
Jhonatan pats Dan on the back.
- "Like you said, the bet is just to make her fall in love – after that you can keep talking to her and be something more."
Dan thinks about it for a few seconds. The boys arrive at the library and sit at a table in a corner.
- "Alright – less chatting and more studying," Jhonatan says as he takes out his notebooks.
The others do the same. In the same library, but in another area, Noemí's group is already studying.
Both groups focus on their books, but they also think about each other from time to time.
