Chapter 50 - Chapter 50: Finally Got Gold Coins

At this moment, the entire room only had the Trailblazing Squad and Cocolia left.

"Welcome, visitors who come from beyond the cold wave… from beyond the heavens, correct?

"I am Cocolia Rand, the Guardian of Belobog. I am here to listen to your intentions."

Stelle looked at Cocolia. From what the other party said, she actually didn't doubt their identities at all.

This made her quite curious.

"You don't doubt who we are?"

Facing Stelle's confusion, Cocolia countered, "Do you really want me to doubt you? Do you have that little confidence in the identity you claim?

"No, I do not doubt. I can see that you are not people of this world."

"A city-builder must remember history to steady their heart; I know that in the distant past, before the cold wave arrived and before the Legion invaded, this world was once incredibly prosperous…"

"The Aeons connected our planet to other worlds, letting us learn of countless possibilities within the vast galaxy. We also heard of the Amber King, Qlipoth, under His gaze, we began building walls…"

"…So, don't be surprised. Even though the city-builders have received no messages from the stars for hundreds of years, I know that your kind exists.

"Speak your intentions. I am listening."

Hearing Cocolia's words, Stelle nodded as if understanding something and directly said, "We came to pioneer this planet!"

"What are you saying, who's supposed to understand that?" March squinted at Stelle.

"We came here for something called a Stellaron."

In the end, the reliable teacher Dan Heng still had to step forward.

"It's a type of substance that suddenly falls into different worlds. Its arrival always means disaster. Many planets we've passed by have suffered from the Stellaron's corruption."

"You just mentioned the Antimatter Legion's invasion. Soon after they arrived, the cold wave appeared on this planet."

"And when the cold wave was born, the phenomenon known as Fragmentum erosion also occurred, right?"

Cocolia nodded. "…Correct."

Stelle told Cocolia, "The Aeon of Destruction spread the Stellaron…"

March continued where Stelle left off, "So the Antimatter Legion often appears together with Stellarons! A world that has a Stellaron planted in it will give birth to Fragmentum. As for the cold wave… it should be a disaster created by the Stellaron based on your planet's conditions."

Nero then continued March's words, "And we are wanderers who travel across the universe!"

"You can think of us as warm-hearted interstellar travelers, specializing in offering help to worlds troubled by Stellarons."

Cocolia stayed silent for a while, then said, "You've analyzed the current situation very clearly. Yes, we indeed have encountered these disasters. Some remain troublesome even now. But what does that have to do with any of you?"

"Even if such a Stellaron exists… even if it brings calamity, I still don't see what connection it has with you."

"I don't believe anyone would go to such lengths to help a world that has nothing to do with them, without any gain."

As Cocolia finished speaking, Nero raised a hand and poked March and Stelle. The three huddled together.

Nero whispered, "Did you see that? That's what a real expert looks like! One sentence and she hits the key point!"

March nodded. "Otherwise how could she be the Supreme Guardian?"

Stelle added, "If this were one of those drama stories we hear on the train radio, she would have totally believed everything we said just now."

Tension was something these three found a little too "rare."

Reliable teacher Dan Heng still took the lead and said to Cocolia, "You're right. The reason we seek cooperation ultimately comes down to shared interests, if the Stellaron isn't sealed, this planet will never escape the cold wave. Meanwhile, the spatial distortion caused by the Stellaron prevents us from leaving this planet."

"So whether it's for your world to be safer and more suitable for human life, or for us to continue traveling the stars, both sides share the same goal and need, to deal with the Stellaron."

Nero followed up Dan Heng's words.

Cocolia slightly frowned, then quickly eased her expression. She narrowed her eyes as she looked at the group, a faint, unnoticeable complexity flashing in her gaze.

"You… have a way to seal this thing called a Stellaron?"

"We have the appropriate methods," Dan Heng said.

Cocolia considered for a moment, then spoke, "Very well. I believe you. If the current situation is indeed related to this so-called Stellaron, then your arrival will be Belobog's hope. I am willing to offer all possible assistance to help you find it."

Cocolia sounded as if she already accepted the Trailblazing Squad's explanation.

Then following a normal process, as the ruler of a human settlement struggling under the cold wave for ages, and for the sake of her people and the future, right now, she should begin discussing plans related to locating the Stellaron, holding a meeting to determine the next steps right here in this room.

However, Cocolia did not do this. Instead, she chose to send them away immediately, in a polite way of course, by telling them to rest.

She said, "It's getting late, and you must be tired. I've arranged for you to stay at the most comfortable inn in the city. Get some good sleep."

"Tomorrow at noon, I will send someone to invite you over so we may properly discuss the matter."

Cocolia's expression and tone didn't change. From her calm, composed demeanor, nothing unusual could be seen.

Especially from the Trailblazing Squad's perspective, Cocolia clearly sounded like she had their wellbeing in mind. This only made the subtle abnormality harder to notice.

For example, Stelle didn't notice anything wrong at all. Cocolia's sudden concern made her very happy.

"Thank you, Supreme Guardian!" Stelle smiled brightly.

"It should be I who thanks you, visitors from beyond the heavens.

"I also need some time to investigate records related to the Stellaron. Forgive me for not seeing you out."

March was clearly in a good mood as well. Knowing both sides could cooperate made her relax a lot.

Stelle and March shared a look, both seeing the same thought in each other's eyes, 'She's actually really nice!'

Dan Heng, however, remained silent. He lowered his eyes in thought. He couldn't find any obvious issues in Cocolia's words.

Whether it was them needing rest or her needing time to review documents, either explanation seemed sufficient for not immediately discussing how to deal with the Stellaron.

Past experiences made Dan Heng stay suspicious and cautious about most things, there was no telling when someone shouting "Five people! Three prices!" might jump out and try to chop him…

At this moment, he faintly sensed something was off.

But without any concrete evidence… he could only quietly stay on guard.

"Wait a sec! I still have a few questions!" Nero shouted.

Hearing this, Cocolia subtly furrowed her brows, then said to him, "Speak."

"We captured Sampo. Gepard took him away just now. There's prize money and stuff for that, right?"

Even now, Nero still wanted to personally confirm with the Supreme Guardian whether Sampo would drop gold coins.

"Yes, of course. I will have someone deliver the reward to the inn arranged for you." Cocolia patiently answered his question.

"And my second question! Can I take pictures of you, and also of the inside and outside of Qlipoth Fort?"

"Take pictures?"

Cocolia looked at Nero with slight surprise and began to wonder whether he had some hidden agenda.

But in the end, her conclusion was that this child didn't look like he had any schemes at all. He simply wanted to take photos.

Recording moments of one's travels was perfectly normal, and Qlipoth Fort was indeed a symbol of Belobog.

Cocolia mentally went through the consequences of allowing the photos and found no possibility that Belobog would suffer any harm.

If so, then what harm was there in letting him take pictures?

Besides…

"Yes, you may."

Cocolia agreed to Nero's request.
