We experienced one case of the disease in our Clan during my lifetime, and it's an awful thing to witness. Although it starts with their organs, eventually, they turn entirely into crystal, from the inside out. It's excruciating for the person.

He adds wistfully, "However, there are three different concoctions I can think of that, when used together, ease the patient's pain and give them energy despite the organ failure."
