"Uh, hello, I'm Lu Chen. You must be Friedrich's sister, Hutten," Lu Chen raised his hand in greeting.
Hutten frowned and asked, "Are you acting in some play? I know you're Lu Chen, of course. Or are you deliberately pretending not to know me to erase your impression of me?"
"No, I have amnesia." Lu Chen had said this so many times he suddenly felt the urge to hang a sign around his neck reading, 'I have amnesia,' to save himself the trouble of explaining.
Hutten's expression shifted dramatically when she heard this, eventually settling into her characteristic mocking smile. "Well, that's… quite satisfying."
"Hutten!" Friedrich said sternly. "Don't be so rude!"
"Tch, Sister, you have no idea what kind of person he is," Hutten scoffed. "I never expected to see you today, even though I skipped class… Wait, did you skip class even earlier than me, Model Student?"
For a moment, Lu Chen truly suspected he had seduced and then abandoned her, otherwise, he couldn't understand why the girl held such intense hostility toward him.
"I'll leave this to you," Friedrich whispered in Lu Chen's ear. "Noshiro, help me out in the kitchen. I thought you would both be back later, so I haven't started preparing dinner yet."
"Okay," Noshiro stood up and quietly cheered Lu Chen on. "You got this!"
You both trust me that much? I don't even trust myself to properly handle my relationship with Hutten, let alone turn her life around.
"What did you tell my sister now? Never mind, it's not important," Hutten pushed open the bedroom door and beckoned him over. "Come inside. I don't want them to know about our relationship."
Lu Chen silently followed her in. Hutten's room was decorated in cool tones. Several posters with cross patterns hung on the walls, and some inexplicable mechanical parts lay on the desk. It looked full of chuunibyou vibes.
"Close the door behind you," Hutten said without turning around as she took off her horn-shaped hair clip.
Lu Chen closed the door and looked left and right, saying awkwardly, "Uh, hi there."
"Is that all you wanted to say?" Hutten asked with interest.
"Of course not. Actually, your sister, cough, I also have an idea…" Lu Chen hesitated, unsure how to begin. He didn't want to see a young woman go astray, but he had no experience with this kind of thing.
"First, let me ask you: Do you like tongue piercings?" Hutten asked a completely irrelevant question.
"Not really. I'm not interested in anything that harms the body."
"What if it doesn't harm the body?"
"At most, I'd look at it out of curiosity."
"How conservative," Hutten moved her mouth slightly and spit out a small silver dot, then stuck out her pink tongue and showed it to Lu Chen. "It's fake. Satisfied?"
"Why are you telling me this?" Lu Chen was confused. He hadn't said anything yet, but the girl seemed to be softening up. "I wanted to ask where you went when you skipped class and why you're dressed like this?"
"I went to work. My sister won't give me any pocket money, so of course I have to work to cover my expenses," Hutten jumped twice in place. "What do you think of this outfit? Do you like it?"
"You work in this outfit?" Lu Chen's face turned grim. He took out the bank card and handed it to Hutten. "I have the bank card your sister gave me. Take it. Don't go to that place to work anymore."
"You won't allow me to continue working without even asking what my job is?" Hutten looked at him with a half-smile. "You sure are controlling."
Lu Chen said stiffly, "I don't want to know what happened, but I don't think it's a good job. Your family clearly has the means to support you, yet you…"
"Yet I what?" Hutten looked at Lu Chen, pressing him backward until his back hit the wall. She then stood on tiptoes and whispered into his ear, "You think I'm doing something sleazy, like compensated dating?"
Hutten's chest, less voluminous than Friedrich's, pressed against Lu Chen's. Her fingers, covered in black fingerless gloves, gently traced his face. Lu Chen tilted his head back, trying his best not to look at Hutten's alluring figure, as her clothes truly offered little coverage.
"I-I didn't think that."
"No, you absolutely did," Hutten chuckled. "And what I was doing is exactly what you imagined."
"What!" Lu Chen's eyes widened. Hearing Hutten admit she was doing such a thing, he didn't know what to say. He instinctively blurted out, "I'll tell your sister."
This was beyond his scope of intervention. He had to let Hutten's sister take mandatory measures to discipline Hutten, regardless of what Hutten was thinking.
"Really?!" Hutten looked like she heard something hilarious, her face breaking into a genuine smile. "You're actually going to tell my sister about this?"
"What else should I do?" Lu Chen replied angrily. "I thought you and your sister just had some communication barriers, but I didn't realize you'd completely gone down the wrong path!"
"Then go tell her. I have to obey you and help you deal with your desires to get the allowance I deserve, or I'd starve," Hutten said mockingly. "Go on, go tell her."
???
Lu Chen hesitated. "Can you say that again?"
"Last month, you told me that starting this month, if I wanted to get my allowance, I had to help you out in that regard," Hutten played with the bank card in her hand. "It just so happens that you've lost your memory. Tell me, should I continue to abide by this agreement?"
"Uh, this, this, is that true?" Lu Chen stammered. He had never imagined he was a scumbag before. No! I want to punch myself.
"Do you think I would joke about my own reputation?" Hutten countered.
"Probably, maybe not?" After all, you're a delinquent girl, a 'small-time thug' or whatever, so joking about your reputation isn't unimaginable. Wait, Lu Chen thought of something. "Since I have amnesia, why are you telling me this? It only hurts you and doesn't benefit you at all."
"Because I suddenly feel like you're not so bad, and maintaining this relationship with you isn't unacceptable," Hutten put away the bank card, slowly squatted down, placed her hands on his waist, and looked into Lu Chen's eyes with snake-like yellow vertical pupils. "Don't move! If you dare to move, I'll scream loudly, and then we'll see who gets socially ruined."
Hutten opened her small mouth, revealing the scarlet inner wall of her oral cavity and sharp fangs, swallowing everything like a snake.
