Chapter 4 - Chapter 3-Friends!

Chapter 3

TAMAKI AMAJIKI

Tamaki could not believe that he had gotten into UA. He had loved heroes for years, yet he had never thought that a day would come when he would become a student at the most prestigious Hero School of Japan.

Yet the admission came with its own set of problems.

"I cannot believe that we both got in," Mirio almost screamed for the tenth time as they walked towards their school.

"Both of us are going to UA to become heroes," Mirio added excitedly, and his energy was rather infectious, but he had always been like that. Smiling widely without any fault, even as life beat him down.

Unlike him, Mirio had never let doubt creep up in his heart. And if there was one solace in going to this new school, then it was that Mirio was going to be with him.

"I had thought that I had failed the practical exam, but I had never thought that there was a hidden part of the exam unknown to us all. But I should have expected nothing less from the greatest hero School of Japan. To include something like Hero Points in the exam was just genius," and unlike his quirk, Mirio's quirk was not wholly suited for Hero Work, yet despite that, his childhood friend had refused to give up.

Even when teachers and doctors had told him otherwise, he had refused to budge on his dream, and his perseverance had paid off, and now he was a student at the prestigious UA High School.

"I am feeling sick," he said, and his heart sank further and further with each step that they took, for the more they came near the school, the more the dread grew.

"I had thought that we would be in the same class, but with you in class B, I don't know what I will do," Amajiki mumbled dejectedly as Mirio slapped him on the back.

"You will be just fine. Everyone will love you, just go and introduce yourself," and it was easier said than done.

"And see if there is a blue-haired girl in your class huh? She is the one who saved me, you should definitely befriend her," Mirio suggested, and Amajiki's dread only ever grew.

"She had such an awesome quirk. If it was not for her and that green-eyed boy, that robot might have crushed me into pieces," and he laughed at that, as if that was a laughing matter.

And that boy was no ordinary boy.

Hyakuya Yuichiro had broken a UA record that had been made by Endeavor years ago, as he scored over a hundred points in the entrance exam. He had even managed to destroy the zero pointer with a single attack, a feat which no one in his cohort had been able to replicate.

"Speaking of him, you should talk to him as well," Mirio suggested, and he crossed his arms.

"I would much rather die," he murmured as Mirio simply laughed at his nervousness, as the two of them came upon the UA campus, and the building was huge.

This was their dream. The place where they would be molded into heroes, and Mirio's eyes gleamed brighter than ever as he stared at the massive insignia hanging in the front, and even Amajiki could feel the majesty of the school as he took a step into it.

The school was huge, but they had been given a map, and as they walked through the corridor, they reached Mirio's class first.

"Well then, I will be going now," Mirio said, and Amajiki had hoped that they would have been in the same class. It would have made things far easier for him, but fate had different plans for him.

"Just be yourself and remember to talk to that blue-haired girl and that green-eyed boy," Mirio suggested, and his shoulders slumped.

"What am I to even say to them?" he asked, for he knew that he could not simply walk up to them and introduce himself.

"It's easy," Mirio said, smiling at him, just as a true hero would.

"Just ask them about their favourite hero," and for a second, he could not believe his ears.

"After all, that worked pretty well with me," and he gave him a thumbs up, as Amajiki nodded and put away that advice in his heart.

"I will try," and with that, Mirio jumped into his classroom, and immediately, he could hear him begin mingling into the class as Amajiki felt his heart sink further and further as he neared his own class, and he nearly turned back as he stared at the door.

"I cannot do this. I cannot do this..." he continued to murmur, but he had to, for he would be a hero, and heroes did not hide from adversity.

"Hey," and he nearly shrieked as he heard a voice from behind him.

"Ahhh," and he turned around and saw a boy standing behind him, clad in the same uniform as him, looking at him with green glowing eyes.

"You are blocking the way," and it was him. It was the boy who had saved Mirio, and he couldn't have imagined a worse introduction as Amajiki felt his entire body shut down.

"I am so sorr..."

"It's ok," the boy said, and his voice was softer than he had expected as he placed a hand on his shoulder.

"We can go in together," and with that, he slid open the door and motioned for him to join him.

"I am Hyakuya Yuichiro, by the way," he said, offering his hand, and the gesture calmed him down.

"I know," he said, and the boy frowned.

"You saved my friend in the exam," Amajiki added, and Mirio had told him the story about a dozen times already, and the boy nodded.

"Oh, nice," he said, and as they entered the classroom, he felt the room still as all of the eyes turned towards them in an instant, and the silence was soon turned into murmurs as Amajiki spotted the blue-haired girl sitting in the back looking out of the window.

Everyone in the room was staring, but not at him. No, they were staring at Hyakua, who did not flinch at all, but he was not like Mirio, who oozed light and joy.

No. Hyakua was different than Mirio. He did not say anything as he simply walked up to his chair and sat down, and Amajiki did the same, before a cabal of students began to come over and ask him out.

It was nerve-wracking, but soon enough, he got to know some of them. There was Yuta, who had red hair and a rather plump kid by the name of Akimichi, and a few other names as well.

In the end, before he could muster the courage to walk up to her, the room slid open, as a powerful voice cut through the air.

"Are you all done?' and he nearly screamed in panic, as he saw a yellow sleeper bag on the floor before the person unzipped the bag and jumped out of it, and he recognised him instantly.

He was a hero, one who was a master in covert work.

"Eraser Head...." he gasped in shock, as the man's eyes gleamed a hot red.

"Everyone, take your seats..."

HYAKUYA YUICHIRO

Hyakuya had not thought that he would ever come to UA. He was a part of the HPSC's secret hero program and was on his way to joining the pros within a few years, yet the former president had thrown a wrench in his plans.

He had tried his best to save her from the darkness and evil he was committing her into, yet in the end, he had been too late, and the bastard had managed to break the strongest person he had ever known.

And with that, the HPSC's strongest weapon was turned onto them, as Lady Nagant chose to aim her barrel at the former president himself. The woman had practically raised him ever since he had joined the HPSC, and so he knew that he had to step in to save her and the Commission.

Despite its heinous actions and faults, Hyakuya was not blind to the need for it. In a world morphed by superpowers and heroes, laws were easy enough to bend and they could not let their society crumble because of the heinous actions of a few.

The former president had pushed things too far, but the hidden hand of the HPSC was a necessity. So in the end, he had pushed himself in between the commission and the woman who had raised her, turning himself into an enemy of both as he forced the former president to resign on threat of absolute demolition of the Commission, while also promising to replace the operative known as Lady Nagant.

Him coming to UA had been a way of keeping the commission on its toes, for with him now a part of the UA's Hero course, he had access to the one man capable of ruining the HPSC in an instant.

Nezu.

The reptilian hero was a bit of a legend in the HPSC, and was perhaps the most dangerous individual on campus, and now he had put the HPSC and its darkest secrets on his radar.

"Until now, all of you have been discouraged from using your Quirks, but that all changes now," and Eraser Head was not fond of speeches or small talk, as he got straight to the point.

"But that all changes now," and with that, the air shifted as he called out Nejire from the crowd.

"You, with the blue hairs," and she seemed a bit surprised as he passed her the ball.

"Throw it as far as you can," and Nejire nodded and stepped into the circle, wound her arm, and threw the ball.

It went a couple of meters, and he heard a few boys snicker at that as Aizawa passed her another ball.

"Now do it again, but this time use your quirk," and the girl's eyes narrowed, as she wound her arm again, this time a yellowish energy coiled around it.

"Full..." she uttered as she swung her arm.

"SURGE!" and the ball shot out of her hand like a bullet as it spun in the air, as shutting up the snickering at once as she glanced at the boys before the display showed a number finally.

"603 meters," their teacher announced, and everyone was surprised by that number.

"Our aim throughout the year will be to push this even higher. Now, I have designed a series of tests to gauge your power and aptitude. Each of you will go through them, and..." his eyes glowed ominously as he gave out his final warning.

"The person who comes last will be expelled from the class...."

"WhaT!"

Without the protection of the Night Crawler, Danzo Shimura, the Police busted the human trafficking ring in a covert operation with the assistance of the rising star in the Hero World, Hawks.

"Thank you for your help, Hawks-san," Officer Tsukauchi said, and the Winged Hero smiled as his feathers all flew back to him.

"So, I heard that these guys shot up a hero a few days back," the winged hero asked as he adjusted his glasses, and the young officer nodded.

"That seems to be the case. He was injured quite severely and will have to retire now. He has been quite a pillar for this community," the young Police man added softly as his companions rounded up the entire gang.

"Well, that is quite a tragedy, but you need not worry," added the Winged Hero as he rose into the air.

"After all, I am here...."
