"So that's how it is!"
Luffy and the other three arrived on the tavern roof.
They were all shocked by the roof, half-blown away, and the houses that had subsequently collapsed.
Bai Yun explained to them that this was the result of his solo fight against the Buggy Pirates, and judging by the current situation, he must have won... "Hahahaha, I knew it! Bai Yun, you wouldn't betray us! Also, great job! Hahahaha!"
Luffy stood with his hands on his hips, laughing as he praised Bai Yun.
"Tch, I thought I'd get a fight in. If this keeps up, my swords will rust."
"How about we fight, Bai Yun? Let me see your strength?"
Zoro removed his hand from the hilt of his sword, feeling a little regretful; he had hoped for a warm-up fight, but Bai Yun had taken care of everything.
"Hahaha, I can't beat you."
"I'll take this 'experience package' for now. If you want me to fight later, I'll be too lazy to move."
Bai Yun replied with a smile, implying that if he had gone with them, he wouldn't have bothered lifting a finger.
Nami and the Mayor were still stunned by the scene behind Bai Yun, where a pile of Buggy Pirates lay sprawled on the ground.
All Nami could think was that Bai Yun had defeated the Buggy Pirates all by himself! What incredible power was that?
Bai Yun thought: This is nothing.
The Mayor's astonishment was no less than Nami's; the pirates who had occupied their town for so long had just been dealt with.
He had planned to fight the pirates desperately for a sliver of hope, but now he was being told the matter was already resolved. This was... "This is... thank you so much!!"
Tears streaming down his face, the Mayor bowed deeply to Bai Yun, thanking him for protecting the town.
"It was nothing, Mayor, you don't have to do this."
"Now you can go call the townspeople back."
Bai Yun waved his hand, indicating it was no big deal.
The Mayor nodded repeatedly, "Right, right, right! I must tell everyone this news, this is wonderful news!!"
After speaking, the Mayor bowed to the four of them and immediately ran down from the tavern roof to inform the residents that they could return.
Halfway there, the Mayor suddenly had a question: he had never introduced himself to Bai Yun, so how did Bai Yun know he was the Mayor?
...The Mayor left, and Bai Yun stepped aside, revealing a table that had miraculously survived the ruins behind him, upon which sat two steaks and some cocktails.
"Haven't you guys... eaten yet?"
Before Bai Yun could finish his sentence, Luffy and Zoro lunged forward like hungry tigers pouncing on prey.
"Food!! Meat! Meat! Meat!"
"Leave some for me, Luffy!!"
Watching the two of them fight over the food, Bai Yun smiled helplessly.
Meanwhile, Nami ran toward the ruins, seemingly searching for something.
"Miss Nami, are you looking for treasure?"
Bai Yun called out.
Nami immediately spun around, attracted by the word 'treasure,' just as Bai Yun nodded toward Luffy and Zoro.
Two bulging sacks were visible under the table, containing Buggy's treasure.
Nami immediately rushed over, opened one, and her eyes instantly turned into dollar signs.
Bai Yun also walked over and placed the map of the Grand Line on the table.
Luffy finished his small portion of steak in one gulp.
"What is this, Bai Yun?"
"It's a map, a map of the Grand Line," Bai Yun replied, then looked toward Nami.
"I estimate Buggy's treasure is a little over 10 million Berries. Adding his bounty, that's 15 million Berries, plus this map of the Grand Line."
"What do you say? Would you like to join our ship, Miss Nami?"
Bai Yun extended the invitation.
Luffy asked, confused.
"Huh? Why? Nami isn't fun at all."
"She knows navigation."
"Join us, Nami!"
"Your attitude changed way too fast!!!"
Nami yelled in exasperation, realizing how pragmatic he was.
But anger aside, one shouldn't turn down money.
Nami thought, traveling with Luffy and Bai Yun might be a good way to earn money.
"Since you're so persistent, I, Nami the 'Cat Burglar', who specializes in stealing from pirates, will reluctantly agree to cooperate with you for now."
Nami agreed to join—well, semi-join—and Luffy immediately cheered, raising his hands in celebration.
"That's great!"
"The Navigator problem is solved!"
...Since Nami had agreed to join, Luffy and the others set sail once more.
A pirate's adventure is never confined to one place; it lies in traversing the vast ocean.
"Rich, rich, rich."
Bai Yun took Buggy to the neighboring island to collect the 15 million Berry bounty, and also converted Buggy's treasure into Berries.
Now that Buggy had been locked up, Bai Yun wondered if Luffy's "Divine Intervention" moment at Loguetown would still happen in the future.
As planned, Bai Yun let Nami manage the money.
On the ship, Nami's eyes turned into money symbols again as she looked at the cash in the briefcase.
But she immediately noticed something was wrong; her eyes, like a money counter, instantly knew the amount was incorrect—a truly remarkable ability.
