Luffy and Zoro met Nami, and learned from Mohji that Bai Yun had joined the Buggy Pirates. To understand the situation, they dealt with Mohji and Richie.
Luffy and Zoro, led by Nami and the mayor, arrived at the tavern where the Buggy Pirates were stationed, expecting a battle.
Instead, they saw Bai Yun leaning on the edge of the roof, holding a cocktail, looking at the four below with a relaxed expression.
"You guys are a bit late!"
The reason for this was that an hour ago... an hour ago, just as Mohji left the tavern roof...
"Alright, then, it's time to deal with the trash."
"Our Buggy Pirates don't need trash!"
After Mohji left, Buggy said grimly.
The three guys who had been released by Zoro and Luffy had just let out a sigh of relief, but now their hearts instantly jumped to their throats, scared and breaking out in a cold sweat.
Who else could Buggy be talking about besides them?
"Captain Buggy!"
"We're sorry! We were wrong! Captain Buggy! Please spare our lives!"
Buggy turned around, his big red nose almost poking into their faces.
"Who am I?"
"Pirate... Clown... Lord Buggy," the three answered, trembling.
"Hehehehe!"
"Good that you know! I am Clown Buggy!"
"There's no room for trash on my ship!"
Buggy straightened up and replied with a laugh.
Seeing no way out, the three desperately tried to escape.
"Escape? Can you escape? Hehehehe!"
Buggy laughed, his palms splitting apart and flying to grab a rope, instantly tying the three securely.
"Still dare to escape! Commendable courage! Then I'll send you off with a special Buggy Ball! Hehehe!"
"Minions, load the special Bugy Ball into the cannon!"
Buggy ordered, controlling his arms to grab the three and bring them to the cannon's muzzle. His subordinates followed suit, placing the special Buggy Ball into the cannon.
"No! Don't!! Don't!!"
"Captain Buggy, spare us!!"
The three looked at the dark cannon barrel, their hearts filled with despair, but they still foolishly begged Buggy to spare them.
Bai Yun picked his ears; he couldn't even eat in peace.
"Mmm, I'm full, I'm full."
Standing up, Bai Yun wiped his mouth with a white cloth; the steak on his plate had been completely devoured.
Everyone was cheering and waiting for the "fireworks show," but only Bai Yun suddenly blurted out such a out-of-place remark, drawing everyone's attention to him.
"Hmm? Full?"
"Perfect, then you light the fuse, Bai Yun."
Buggy showed a sinister smile, but Bai Yun continued to wipe his mouth.
"What, are you scared?"
Bai Yun put down the white cloth and smiled, "What's there to be scared of?"
He then walked behind the cannon and took the torch.
The three shook their heads, pleading with Bai Yun not to light the fuse, but Bai Yun's eyes showed no mercy, and he directly lit the fuse.
Seeing this, the three no longer struggled, at least they could face death with some dignity.
Bai Yun looked at the ridiculously long fuse, wondering who designed it—truly a genius.
As Bai Yun lit the fuse, the crowd behind him started cheering again.
Bai Yun was now even more certain that not all pirates were like Luffy and his crew. Becoming a pirate meant having blood on your hands, more or less. He hoped he wouldn't become someone who killed for fun in the future... The crowd cheered, waiting for the cannonball to be fired, to watch a grand "fireworks" display.
But one of Bai Yun's actions instantly silenced their cheers.
Just as only one-fifth of the fuse remained, Bai Yun kicked the cannon barrel, making it spin. The cannon turned, and its dark muzzle pointed at Buggy and his crew, with the fuse still burning.
"!!!!"
The cheering faces instantly turned to panic.
"What are you doing!! Bai Yun!!"
Bai Yun spread his hands and shook his head, "Let me be clear, I'm not discriminating against you, I just purely dislike big red noses."
Buggy's eyes widened, his emotions fluctuating between rage and panic.
As Bai Yun's words fell, there was a bang, and the cannonball shot out, flying towards Buggy and his crew with a wave of heat.
"Get down quickly!!"
Ultimately, panic overcame rage. Buggy shouted, being the first to duck down.
The cannonball exploded, producing thick smoke, incapacitating two-thirds of the Buggy Pirates with one shot.
From within the black smoke, Buggy's figure slowly rose, panic gone, replaced only by rage.
"Kill him!!!"
Buggy screamed, his voice turning sharp.
Cabaji was the first to charge, quickly approaching on his unicycle.
Flashes of blades.
Instantly, Cabaji's figure appeared behind Bai Yun, and Bai Yun was directly cut in half and fell to the ground.
"Hehe... no, wait!"
Buggy was about to laugh, thinking it was some big shot, but it turned out to be just this. But before he could laugh twice, he noticed something was wrong. Cut in half without a single drop of blood? Impossible? Isn't this just like his Chop-Chop Fruit ability?
"Cabaji!"
Buggy shouted.
Cabaji instinctively turned his head and spewed a stream of flames from his mouth.
