Bella and Wesker fought from the cultivation room to the corridor, then from the corridor to a laboratory.
Chris Redfield heard the gunfire and rushed over to help. He watched the two of them storm past, five meters in front of him, fighting fiercely.
Neither dared to let their guard down, fighting with absolute focus, terrified that a moment's inattention would let the other put a bullet in their head.
They could dodge bullets, but they weren't immune to them. Hit in a vital spot, they'd still die.
Bella fought with everything she had, not even noticing Chris. Wesker had even more reason not to lose—fighting for over a decade only to die at the hands of some passing woman? That would make him a laughingstock. So he didn't see Chris either, his lifelong nemesis...
Tricell soldiers had long been alerted, raising their weapons. But their reaction speed couldn't keep up with Wesker and Bella's movements, so they hesitated to fire.
Chris's marksmanship and combat skills were top-tier, but his vision remained at the peak of human limits. Bella and Wesker's fight was dizzying—he also didn't dare shoot rashly.
However, he was ultimately stronger than those ordinary Tricell soldiers. Chris carefully observed their movements, then, using his own predictive skills, drew his tactical knife and thrust viciously at Wesker's face.
Normally, if Wesker encountered Chris, they could exchange three to five moves.
The virus was ultimately an external power. No matter how well it fused with his cells, there was still a barrier.
Mobilizing it was sluggish—he had to continuously exert force, gradually wringing power from his cells bit by bit.
The two were old friends and old enemies who knew each other inside out. Without using the virus's power, Wesker's level was roughly equal to Chris's.
But now it was different. He and Bella were fighting in deadly earnest! His virus power was mobilized to the maximum. The strength in every movement was beyond what ordinary people could resist.
Chris's attack was fairly accurate, but Wesker didn't even look. He grabbed Chris's wrist, twisted his waist, and kicked him flying more than ten meters with a single side kick.
"Bang! Bang! Bang!" Bella seized the opportunity and fired repeatedly. Wesker barely dodged the first two bullets, but the third grazed his cheekbone.
He was injured.
Wesker wiped the blood from his face, his sunglasses knocked away. His crimson eyes looked demonic.
"I've changed my mind. I'm going to cut off your head and hang it in my trophy room!"
Bella snorted. "How scary! You think I'm easily scared?!"
The two completely ignored everything around them, fighting from the third basement level up the emergency stairwell, then back down to the fifth level. Bella discovered the fifth level was full of canisters containing bioweapons. They fought back to the fourth level.
"Ow!" Chris clutched his abdomen and slowly stood up.
Taking Wesker's full-force kick wasn't pleasant. Even with body armor, he felt sore all over, as if being stabbed with knives.
His destined nemesis kicked him once, then completely ignored him. Being disregarded like this felt terrible...
"Bang! Bang! Bang!" The Tricell soldiers couldn't catch up to Bella and Wesker, but Chris, lying on the ground, was too large a target to pass up. They fired repeatedly.
Chris also returned fire, engaging over a dozen soldiers in the confined area.
Meanwhile, battles elsewhere also reached their climax.
Bella directly confronted the mastermind, Albert Wesker.
Natasha also found the culprit behind Prosperity Town's destruction—Tricell's president, the Italian woman Excella Gionne.
Excella Gionne, always pondering humanity's future, had completely forgotten about Prosperity Town. After spacing out for a while, she vaguely recalled that "minor incident."
This further ignited Natasha's fury.
Two equally beautiful women clashed.
Natasha had Bella as a sparring partner, and her combat skills improved daily.
Excella Gionne, this snake-hearted woman, surprisingly also possessed considerable fighting ability. She kicked off her high heels, tore her skirt, and fought Natasha toe-to-toe.
Chris's sister, Claire Redfield, encountered her brother's old comrade, Jill Valentine. This former BSAA female agent was presumed dead, but not only had she survived, Albert Wesker had installed an external mind-control device to suppress her consciousness.
The current Jill Valentine was like a super enforcer who only knew how to obey orders.
