Three boys wearing demon slayer corporation's official uniform enters the railway station platform. Inosuke, the boy wearing boar mask started banging his head on the train as soon as he spotted it. He started screaming at train calling it a demon.
Meanwhile Zenitsu, boy wearing yellow haori was trying to stop Inosuke from either making dent on train or cracking his head open. "Inosuke, don't bang your head on it. This may be protector of this place." Tanjiro, boy with hanafuda earrings chimmed in.
Zenitsu was regretting his life choices to be stuck between this two fools who doesn't know what a train is. "You seriously don't know what a train is?" Zenitsu deadpanned at Tanjiro. Tanjiro was confused.
Before they could say other things, two tall men were passing by catching their eyes. Even Inosuke stopped banging his head. Both man had same built, long black hair and dark brown eyes. They had expensive kimonos wrapped around thier body and were not looking less than a noble.
They had huge four luggage which were being carried arround by some coolies.They smelled different to Tanjiro but he couldn't pinpoint exactly what.They were both very handsome, slayers couldn't help but admire.
Their both heads snapped towards three boys. They offered a kind smile to them. But, Tanjiro felt one of them eyeing him specially extra hard. After a long stare both men headed inside the train.
"Demon you won't be sparred from lord of mountains, Inosuke sama. Bhahaha." Inosuke started his headbangs once more. Soon, it draws attention of train police officers. They started to chase after them. Zenitsu grabbed both idiot's hands and ran for his dear life.
They managed to get away from officers. Zenitsu was scolding them and explained that government doesn't know about demons. If they don't know about demon, they won't legalisize demon slayer corporation. Hence, they can't carry katana in public place like this and stop behaving like that.
But, train soon starts to run on tracks leaving the railway station platforms behind. They run after train and managed to get inside of train through last coach. They entered train through door attached on open area they were standing.
As they headed to inside of coaches they heard loud yelling. One word was repeated again and again through yelling. They reached a man eating his bento with chopsticks after following sound. "UMAI!!!"
Tanjiro realised that this man is none other than Flame hashira, Renguko Kyojuro. Tanjiro tried to start conversation with him. But, he only got 'UMAI' in return. He realised the men he met on platform were seating one seat ahead of Renguko san.
That man was again staring hard at him making him uncomfortable. He saw both of them talk to each other while wispering and other one occasionally glacing at him. He tried hard to ignore them. They are very handsome and look really alike he wonders if they are brothers.
He shifted back his attention toward Flame hashira. This time he successfully grabbed attention of flame hashira. He introduced himself and his fellow companion. Renguko Kyojuro smiled brightly at him. "You are that boy from trial. In that box, it's your demon sister?"
Tanjiro nodded confirming it. "Oyokatasama accepted her. Hence, i won't say anything for now." Flame hashira tried to accept the situation. They started their conversation about demon being spotted in this train.
Meanwhile Inosuke was banging his hand on windows causing it to rattle and Zenitsu was trying to stop him from getting kicked out of train. Flame hashiras words grabbed attention of Zenitsu. He started throwing his head back and forth in disbelief while shouting his lung out.
Flame hashira only smiled brightly confirming the facts that a strong demon is here and telling it's the reason he, a hashira is here to investigate. A chuckling heard from one of the tall men, leaving Zenitsu embarrassed and cheeks pinkened.
Soon, ticket checker came visiting every one to check and punch their tickets. Flame hashira detected one demon and went on to reveal his katana and slayed the demon with single slash and breath. This made every slayer boy left in awe.
They started surrounding Flame hashira begging him to train them to be that strong. After ticket checker was done with everyone, he thanked everyone before leaving. Soon, dream took over everyone present on the train.
Enmu was standing on roof of train's first coach. He was chuckling and giggling at his targets who were sleeping peacefully. He wished them a happy dream before he gives them one nightmare. After this he will devour every present human there.
He will receive more blood from Muzan sama if he kills that hashira and people who are accompanying him. He gigled at the thought. He just have to wait before he can enjoy the agony of people and their pitiful expression.
Inside train, box rattled and door opened. Nezuko fell out of box completing her sleep. She was confused to find her brother asleep with someone tied to his brother through a thread on hand. Same with everyone.
Hashira was grabbing the neck of girl who was tied with him making her levitate on air leaving the ground below. Still he was asleep and not awake. She tried to understand situations they were in.
She tried her best to wake up her brother. But, he didn't even bulge from his sleep. She started head butting her brother's head which is built like a natural iron armour, only to cry and draw blood from her own head.
Soon her blood work as she connect it with the rope burning it severing the connection. This action made Tanjiro to wake up after a while after struggling in dream with his own heart. He was finding it difficult to choose between reality and his peaceful family in dream.
After waking up, he made sure that Nezuko is fine. He look around only to find both Inosuke and Zenitsu.caught up in their dream. Rengoku san was dealing with girl which was tied to him by grabbing her neck.
He couldn't find those two tall men who were glaring at him before they fell asleep. He mentally prayed for their well being. He tried to wake up both his friends only to be failed. He figured out the connection between ticket being punched and them being knocked in dream.
Tanjiro ordered Nezuko to use her blood demon art to sever connection of everyone while continued his efforts to wake any of them. After Nezuko was done with burning up the threads, she demanded head pats from Tanjiro as appreciation.
"You did great Nezuko. Thank you." Tanjiro was praising Nezuko. Nezuko hummed in delight with head pats. Suddenly a girl attacked him with a wierd pointy weapon which Tanjiro dodged out of instinct. He realised she is one of the girl who was tied to them.
He found out all of them are heavily sick and are in door of death. Hence, they are doing this so they can have a peaceful dream before they die. He knocked them out by hitting their neck after apologising.
He sensed that powerful demon, so he went on roof of train while air was hitting him harshly. He ordered Nezuko to stay inside of the train. He spotted a figure standing on top of train greeting him with creepy smile.
"Ohh! Are you awake? Good morning. How did you wake up? Was i not able to give you a sweet dream? Maybe i should've give you dream where your family is dying. Would you have liked that? Hmm?" Enmu was gigling and giving creepy smile to Tanjiro.
Enmu noticed that demon slayer front of him has hanafuda earrings on his ears. This is the same boy Muzan sama has been looking for. "How fortunate i am? He came to me by himself."
Tanjiro went straight to finish off the demon, which he now know is lower moon 1 due to kanji in his eyes. Tanjiro was afraid as he fought Lower moon 5 and it was hell for him. He could only think the hell which might be waiting for him.
Still, he gathered all his courage as whole 200 passengers are his responsibility as no other demon slayer is awake yet. He aimed his breathing form on Enmu. "Water Breathing, Tenth Form : Constant Flux"
Enmu dodged every attack from Tanjiro and forwarded his hand which had a mouth of it's own performing blood demon art. "Blood Demon Art: Whispers of Forced Unconscious Hypnosis." Tanjiro was sent to sleep.
After just three seconds Tanjiro was awake breaking away from his sleep. Enmu was confused and tried his luck again which resulted the same. Tanjiro started attacking and Enmu trying to dodge his attack along with trying to make Tanjiro sleep.
They went to this back and forth dancing in the air on top of train while wind was growing harsher for Tanjiro. Again Tanjiro found himself in dream, where his family is slain and they are blaming him. Tanjiro figures out the truth instantly.
He opened his eyes in real world. "My family would never say that. Don't disrespect my family." He shouted at Lower moon 1. "Water Breathing, Tenth Form : Constant Flux" Tanjiro was able to behead Lower moon 1. Enmu's head rolled on the train roof while his body lays lifeless.
Tanjiro was confused. Are they this weak? He thought this would be more difficult to fight Lower moon 1. Is Lower moon 1 weaker than Rui? "Now i know why master muzan wanted to kill this boy along with that hashira." Tanjiro snapped his head towards the direction of demon.
Enmu's head was levitated from ground his flesh grown from his head attached straight to train's platform. "Are you wondering what's happening? Since i am in great mood i'll tell you. Actually this isn't my real body. I fused my body with train way before this. This means this whole train is my body, blood, flesh and bone."
Suddenly a injection was shooted towards Enmu's flesh, all liquid was injected into his flesh. Tanjiro figured out that injection came from those two tall men who are now masked. He could tell because he remembered their smell. Demon looked more intrigued.
Lower moon 1 soon started shouting in agony. Enmu's head and old body disappeared. He was now in foot of the those two mens after his agony stopped. "Master." Enmu called out after figuring out the change of master. He is no longer tied to Muzan kibutsuji.
"Leave the train and collect your body together. Follow us inside." One of the man ordered in authority to Enmu who nodded along. His body recovered and collected together. Tanjiro was shocked to even move or think anything.
They started to get off the roof. One of the two men was left on top, he looked at Tanjiro. He removed his mask and smiled at him. Tanjiro realised it's the same man who was staring at him hard all the time and man who ordered the Lower moon 1. "Won't you come with us? We have a lot to discuss mr.?"
"Tanjiro. Kamado Tanjiro." Man nodded in acknowledgement with friendly smile. Tanjiro couldn't smell any malicious intent from the man still Lower moon 1 calling someone master means only one thing.
"Are you muzan kibutsuji's partner or something?" Tanjiro asked sounding unsure himself. Man blinked and laughed softly and shooked his head. "No. I am not. Quite the opposite. Please come with us." He insisted.
His laugh was delightful. Tanjiro nodded and followed after him. They both entered train, Enmu was standing beside the other man. Man beside him walked towards Enmu. "You are Enmu, right? Now going onwards you won't serve muzan kibutsuji. You are under my control and won't eat any human."
Enmu looked confused. "But, isn't eating human is the basic necessity of demons master?" Enmu asked question not able to grasp such wierd command from his new master. "For demon under muzan kibutsuji? Yes. For demon under mine? No. Absolutely not."
Enmu argued. "Can i atleast harm people? I want to see agony on their faces. The whimpers, the expression, the horror on their faces and body carries is very fascinating for me." Man who was talking to Enmu looked at the other man in horror and disbelief.
"Douma? What the heck is this demon? Why would you convince me to turn this sadistic demon onto one of us?" The man whose name is supposed to be Douma looks away scratching his head while whistling. Other man deadpanned at Douma.
"D-douma? As in lost Upper moon 2?" Enmu gasped softly. He started to stare at Douma more strongly. "Yes, Enmu kun. I am former Upper moon 2. Glad to meet you again." Douma smiled at shorter demon. Enmu still looked shocked.
Other man rolled his eyes and snapped his fingers grabbing both demons attention. "Enmu, you won't eat or torture any human ever. If you do, you die. I will snap my finger like i did earlier and you will gone." Man warned him.
"What if i felt hunger?" Man grabbed injection out of his pocket and shoved the injection onto the skin of Enmu by grabbing his hand forward. "You wouldn't now. Under me you would protect humanity and fight for innocents." Enmu nodded not wanting to offend his new master in a wrong way.
Tanjiro was silently witnessing all exchange of the demon and thier master. Now he knows why they smelt different. Still conversation is..... unexpected. Why would any demon talk about protecting humans? Demon like Nezuko he can understand. But former Upper moon?
Who is the other man? His words are genuine, he can smell it. Tanjiro would have tried to interfare but what exactly he would do? Flame hashira enters the coach and stands beside Tanjiro, he was trying to understand the situation.
"Rengoku san, Greetings." Man who was ordering Lower moon was happily greeted Flame hashira while bowing. How does he knows him? "I'm sorry. Do i know you?" Rengoku san asked confused but his smile was still in his face.
Zenitsu, Nezuko and Inosuke also arrived at that particular coach. "Not like this but..." Tanjiro's eyes widened as man infront of him turned to a beautiful young women much shorter in term of height still average heighted.
Flame hashira's eyes went wide in recognition. "Reader chan??" She nodded. "It's been whole four year, isn't it?" She was still smiling wide while finally able to meet his fellow hashira. "Ha? What? Are you man or a woman?" Zenitsu screamed at horror. Nezuko was just humming.
"Zenitsu!! That's rude to ask." Tanjiro smacked Zenitsu's head. Inosuke laughed like maniac. "Fight me you, gender changing demon. Kneel down to me." Everyone ignored boar boy.
"It's ok, Tanjiro kun. I am a woman from birth. I was posing as a man for some reason with my blood demon art." She responded to Zenitsu not really taking offence.
"Ohh! I didn't introduced myself. Did i? I'm Reader. You may know me as Ice hashira as you all are from corp." They all looked shocked. Is mysterious Ice hashira a demon? What's happening? aren't they supposed to take Lower moon down?
"Are you also a demon?" Tanjiro asked. "Actually yes. I am a demon progenitor like muzan kibutsuji. But, my demons don't eat human and they work to slay demon turned by Muzan." She clarified. "When did you get turned into a demon?" Rengoku san asked in his normally loud voice.
"Actually, it turned out i was demon from birth but it didn't showed up till i met Douma." Rengoku san looked shocked while his smile remain. "But, you would walk in sun and eat human food." He voiced his doubts. "I can still walk in sun and eat normal foods. Even Douma eat human food and can bear walking in sun for hour or two now."
Everyone fell silent. Enmu was standing there also looking shocked. His master, Reader sama can walk in sun? Wait. Now he is looking at her carefully isn't she the hashira which Muzan sama wanted to capture alive? Douma san can too walk in sun? So can he too?
"Does Oyokatasama knows this?" Zenitsu asked while he was shivering lightly. "Yes, he does. I was in touch with him this whole time." She confirmed. "Where were you this whole time, Reader chan?" Flame hashira asked. Douma was standing while fanning himself and having small talk with Enmu.
"After i defeated and killed Upper moon 5, Muzan kibutsuji wanted to capture me and experiment on me. Because, he thought i was either a human with supernatural power or a demon who was not turned by him. Hence, me and Douma were running far away from him. After earlier six month, we went to china to live there. We just returned from china."
"Are you not returning to demon slayer corporation? This train doesn't head to corps." He asked. "Well, i am in this train because you are here on this mission. After this, i will return with you and my demons." She answered.
"But, i could deal with this Lower demon. Do you not trust me?" He asked his voice blooming in whole coach. She shooked her head. "Obviously, i trust you. It's just that one Upper moon is going to show up soon." Zenitsu started panicking while other were shocked including Enmu.
"Reader sama, which Upper moon is going to show up?" Enmu asked. "Honestly i don't know but it's certain someone will." She answered. "Bhahaha. I am going to fight that Upper moon. You all stay behind and see Lord of mountains, Inosuke sama fight him."
"Can i ask you something, Reader san? Why were you staring at me before?" Tanjiro asked. Reader blinked then let a embarrassed laugh. "Actually i was stari-" Zenitsu smacked Tanjiro's head. "How dare you steal attention of such beautiful lady? You have audacity to ask her why? Ha?"
Tanjiro was getting embarrassed and cheek reddened at Zenitsu's word. Reader shooked her head. "I was staring at you because of your hanafuda earrings. This reminds me of one specific person. I will ask you about that someday. Sorry, if i made you uncomfortable." She apologised by bowing down.
Zenitsu screamed at Tanjiro again. "How can you make such pretty women apologise to you for staring at you? You should be the one to thank her." Reader watched exchange dumbfounded. Nezuko hummed and made her way towards Reader.
"Wahh!! Who is she? She is so pretty. So cute." Reader started to pat Nezuko's head while she hummed in delight. Douma was not liking how this little demon girl is getting head pat from Reader chan. "She is my little sister." Tanjiro answered while smiling.
Douma sensed someone's aura growing stronger. "Reader chan, it's Akaza dono. He is here coming toward us. He will be here in a while." Douma enthusiastically shouted. "Upper moon 3?" Everyone felt silent.
