Chapter 73 - Chapter 73 Charlotte's Interview, Yuto's New Answer

Hearing this, Clorinde was first stunned, then fell into deep thought.

She could understand Charlotte's reason for wanting to interview Mr. Yuto; after all, she had recently seen his name frequently on the front page of Steambird Newspaper.

"But why is she interviewing me?"

Clorinde couldn't quite figure it out for a moment.

However, while she was pondering this, Mr. Yuto had already started chatting with Charlotte.

Looking at the young woman who was eagerly looking at him, Mr. Yuto smiled and nodded; he didn't shy away from such things.

As long as she didn't ask him insubstantial questions about things like the god's heart or his relationship with Furina, he would answer appropriately.

After receiving Mr. Yuto's approval, Charlotte's face showed an excited smile, and she then found a waiter to order three drinks, and also found an empty private room.

Although there weren't many people at Hotel Debord at this time, such a specialized interview still needed to be conducted in a relatively enclosed and quiet environment to be compliant.

...

After the three of them were seated, Charlotte quickly took out her small notebook and threw out the questions she had just thought of, one by one.

"Mr. Yuto, after the Judgment of the "Serial Disappearance of Young Girls" case, many citizens and Licensed Agents in the industry have called you the "Strongest Licensed Agent." What are your thoughts on this?"

Hearing this question, Mr. Yuto couldn't help but raise an eyebrow.

He truly didn't know he had such a nickname, and hearing this term suddenly... was somewhat unexpected.

After a brief thought, Mr. Yuto shrugged slightly, a faint smile appearing on his face as he said:

"Theoretically speaking... it's not that I'm strong; many Licensed Agents can understand the fontaine law to my extent. All that's needed is sufficient evidence and a complete logical chain."

Charlotte quickly took notes while listening, then posed the second question.

"Mr. Yuto, some Fontaine residents have questions for you: why do you, as the drafter of the labor law, work overtime every day?"

Mr. Yuto's mouth twitched upon hearing this, and for a moment he didn't know what to say.

After a brief thought, Mr. Yuto slightly raised his head and softly spoke a sentence.

"Someone in this world must always bear more responsibility. As the ancient Ritou proverb says, 'When the sky falls, the tall ones bear it.' "

"Although I don't consider myself a tall person, since I am in this position, I should do more for everyone."

"Furthermore, my original intention in writing the labor law was to allow all Fontaine residents to have a better, fairer working environment and higher labor remuneration, not simply to prohibit overtime."

Hearing this, Charlotte nodded gently.

She now felt... that with just this one question, she could expand on a lot of positive news content, especially since this was exclusive news given to her by Mr. Yuto.

With a little embellishment and positive expansion, this one question alone could support tomorrow's headline in Steambird Newspaper.

Thinking of this, the corners of Charlotte's mouth curved up almost uncontrollably, and she constantly thanked Mr. Yuto and her own "news magnet" physique.

After briefly noting down this question, Charlotte posed the last question she had prepared.

"Mr. Yuto, do you have any good ideas or suggestions for the upcoming "Fontaine Opera Art Festival"? I heard that the Ritou envoy delegation will soon visit Fontaine; will you invite them to participate in this cultural feast?"

Hearing this, Mr. Yuto blinked slightly, a mysterious smile appearing on his face.

"According to fontaine law, any large-scale event must submit an activity report and a proposal to Palais Mermonia for approval, and as the Assistant Administrator of Fontaine, this matter naturally falls to me."

"I already put forward my ideas and suggestions in the proposal at the time. As for the specific content... I'm not sure, after all, I've only seen the proposal, not the actual performance."

"As for whether the Ritou envoy delegation will be invited to participate... if time and conditions permit, I will invite them to join."

"From a cultural essence perspective, Ritou's Fontaine Opera and Fontaine's Fontaine Opera have common ground. I think... two different cultures should spark different inspirations."

After Charlotte had thoroughly recorded this question, she slowly stood up, bowed to Mr. Yuto, and asked:

"Thank you, Mr. Yuto, for accepting my interview. I will slightly refine and extend the meaning of the above content. Do you need a manuscript for review before publication?"

Hearing this, Mr. Yuto gently waved his hand, indicating that he did not need it.

"I trust Miss Charlotte's basic skills, and I also trust your ability to handle text. There's no need to be so cautious."

Charlotte looked at Mr. Yuto in disbelief, and then, a brilliant smile bloomed on the young reporter's face.

"Thank you for your recognition, I will continue to work hard!"

With that, Charlotte turned her gaze to Clorinde, who was beside her, and then began a series of questions revolving around the relationship between the "Serial Disappearance of Young Girls" case and Clorinde.

Of course, this also involved the "Shadow Hunter" that Clorinde mentioned; Charlotte wanted to know... what exactly that represented.

And Clorinde, after discussing the timeliness of the Shadow Hunter with Mr. Yuto, also had the idea of letting their deeds be heard.

Thus, Clorinde began to tell the stories of the Shadow Hunter, as told to her by her master, from her own perspective.

...

Time always passed quickly when telling stories. By the time Charlotte finished the interview, it was already evening.

Mr. Yuto and Clorinde walked out of Hotel Debord side by side, and after a brief farewell to the highly productive Charlotte, the two walked towards Palais Mermonia.

They had been out all day, it was time to go back.

Perhaps because he had conveniently taken the day off, Mr. Yuto didn't rush back as usual.

Instead, he leisurely walked through the streets of Fontaine, admiring the crimson clouds and splendid sunset in the sky.

Of course, those things in the sky weren't the main point, but rather the Fontaine residents who had gained better lives under his administration.

Mr. Yuto suddenly stopped, looking at the hurried shop assistant walking out of Chiori Tailor Shop, and at the office workers gathering and passing by the coffee shop.

And, of course, the Melusines who had gradually integrated into human society.

Seeing the smiles on their faces, Mr. Yuto seemed to have a new answer to Charlotte's question.

"Because I... want to see those genuine, happy smiles..."
