Even more than they would have originally, since they'd gotten so much gold, and since Kairo may or may not have gone inside the snake's body to get a bit more gold.
Okay... a lot of gold. They had more than 10x the gold they had in canon, so yeah, there was that.
He wasn't robbing the City of Gold—they made a deal, he was simply honoring said deal. Plus, they got their bell and all that shit. He also saw some doodles on the side that Robin would say Roger wrote on them.
He was confused. Didn't the ruin they read before have his signature too?
She shrugged. He sighed. It seemed like Roger didn't get it correct the first time, and the stone he wrote on the second time was the correct one. Either that, or he got it correct the first time, saw another poneglyph, and decided to write on it or some dumb shit like that.
Considering his ass probably would buy Shakky's bath water, it wasn't out of the realm of possibility.
Kairo took out what seemed to be a cloud from his bag and tossed it at her.
Nami caught it.
"What's that?" she questioned. It looked like a cloud.
"It's the Cloud-Cloud Fruit, a Logia-type Devil Fruit. After defeating Enel, I saw it in a cloud, and since you're the navigator and know the most about clouds, it fits you."
"Hey, I also know a lot about clouds," Usopp said. Kairo tilted his head to the side.
"It doesn't fit you, plus you still haven't mastered the basic skills yet."
"But Nami didn't either?" Usopp questioned. Yet as Kairo's gaze returned to Nami... the Devil Fruit was gone. A small smidget of what appeared to be some clouds could be seen on her lips.
"You greedy woman, you could have shared it with me." Usopp seemed mad at her.
"He gave it to me, why would I share it with you?" Nami retorted.
Kairo opened his mouth and said:
"You cannot share a Devil Fruit power. Even if you split the fruit in half, the person who gets the Devil Fruit power is the person who bites into it first and swallows it first ."
Usopp paused... dammit, there went his chance at beating Nami.
"How do we even know she has Devil Fruit powers?" Chopper questioned.
Kairo threw a punch at Nami. Nami looked scared... yet Kairo's fist went straight through her, as she seemed to have turned into a cloud woman.
"You bastard, how dare you attack Nami!" Sanji was really pissed, acting like Nami was his wife or something.
Kairo didn't bother with him and simply handed Nami a notebook.
"This contains every type of cloud found in Sky Island. Your Devil Fruit will allow you to mimic them, and since you're good with weather stuff, with enough control you can summon rain, lightning, snow, hail, strong gusts of wind, a tornado... though do remember, if water gets above a certain level you lose all strength, so no pool or sauna for you anymore.Atleast for a while,"
Nami's eyes seemed to brighten at first, but then they lost their shine. The fuck you mean I can't do what I like the most?
"I can't bathe... this is so unfair," Nami said, looking down.
Usopp looked at her like she was insane.
"The hell you mean unfair? You're a Logia fruit user. If you don't want it, I can have your fruit."
"Don't worry, Nami, if you ever fall in water, I'll always be there to save you!" Captain Save-A-Hoe was once more back in action.
Kairo yawned a bit. He was dead tired. He'd go take a nap now, having spent hours fighting. Whatever Nami did next with her Devil Fruit was none of his business. Though she was already experimenting with it, creating solid ground made out of clouds and so on.
The Cloud-Cloud Fruit could prove quite useful in the future. As for the Goro Goro no Mi...
You see, Kairo had tried synchronizing with the fruit and his axe, mixing their frequency together and some shit like that.
So while he now possessed an axe with tremendous fighting power...
He gazed at his axe, which sparkled a bit, as if excited and ready to be used again. The Devil Fruit was still somewhat present, and while yes, his axe's lightning power was now greater than before, he still thought he could do better.
So far, he had his all-out mode, his OP axe, his OP Haki abilities, the reanimation jutsu, the fact his Haki was insane, amongst a shit ton of other things he couldn't speak of right now.
With this strength level, he was sure he'd be able to do well against anyone.
Yet, his heart skipped a bit around Robin... fuuuuuuuuccccccccccckkkkkkkk.
