Typhon's eyes blinked, and for a brief moment, Rick thought he saw something that might have been shame behind the corruption, but then the purple energy grew stronger, and Typhon broke free of the control.
"All this bullshit you say about freedom and responsibilities... You talk about these things like they're easy to handle," Typhon said, and there was real pain in his voice despite the corruption. "But what about Nerissa's responsibility for genocide?!"
"What about her duty to kill seventeen innocent children, huh?!"
"Where's the FUCKING justice for the three thousand ocean dwellers she crushed under the deadliest pressure?!"
Rick hit Typhon's jaw with his fist hard enough to make his head snap back. "She knows what she fucking did was wrong!"
