That morning, Rick woke up with a knot in his stomach that had nothing to do with being hungry. It had been six days since the dragon attack, and today was the day Sylvia said she would come back.
He looked up at the ceiling of his room in the guild hall and saw dust particles floating through the morning light. His mind was racing with disappointments because he hadn't received any pleasure from Liora, who didn't do anything except pamper him in a wholesome way.
