"..." Silent and bubbling with slight rage, Nancy hissed, "What the fuck are you on about, Aaron?"
She wasn't loud or shouting in rage, but the slow and deliberate tone of her voice threw him off.
He already knew that dropping such a huge bomb on this poor woman was a mistake on his part, he could've been more diplomatic with his approach.
It was like dropping a missile on her house and expecting her to stay inside and not even attempt to run.
Only a fool would do that.
"Nancy," Aaron said calmly, tightening his hold around her as she shivered slightly, one part of her resisting his touch while other seemed to find warmth in it.
"Explain yourself, please, Aaron." She indeed calmed down, just a little bit, at least giving him a chance to speak his mind before she flipped out.
