Goblin Warrior.
A level 5, boss monster with the signature weapon– a two handed mace.
He was strength focused, but that wasn't to say that he was slow.
Keeping true to his goblin race, the warrior was surprisingly fast.
So, he was a terrifying fusion of strength and agility, with a low stamina.
And here I was, standing a few meters away from him, looking down at his beady eyes with my falcata gripped firmly in my right hand.
My stamina was the highest– except for the broken Magic stat– and then followed by my agility and strength.
Even though I was one level higher than him, he was still a boss monster.
Meant to be slayed as a group, not solo.
Using my agility, with every step he took towards me, I retreated many steps away.
Although his smirk was infuriating, I had to be patient.
He had somewhat of a similar reach to me, with the long mace compensating his shorter stature.
His little legs couldn't cover as much distance as my legs.
And in this fight, I had an ace up my sleeve.
Reverse senses, the skill I had in my previous boss fight but was unable to use.
However this time… it was a fair fight.
For nearly 2 minutes straight, I kept retreating and dodging the goblin, making him swing and smash the mace on the floor like a maniac.
He was getting slower, much slower than he used to be.
"KRIIIEEE!"
He shrieked in fury, his eyes reddened in rage as he smashed the mace right in front of me.
A huge dent was left in the stone, proving the overwhelming strength of my foe.
But what was the point of holding an AWM if your aim is shit?
This time, after smashing the mace, the goblin didn't pick it up immediately.
I could see the strain his little arms were under, his face twisting into a grimace as he tried to pick up the heavy thing again.
Heh.
I smirked, "Why don't you smirk at me again, huh?"
Even though it wasn't in a very respectful way, I managed to get rid of that infuriating smirk.
As they say, all is fair in love and war.
"Reverse senses." I intoned, walking closer to the goblin slowly and carefully.
I didn't know if he had any secret weapons just like that ant's stinger, but it didn't hurt to be too careful.
"KEKIIILAAAAAAA!"
He glared at me hatefully, his red eyes blinded in rage.
Maybe he was cursing me in the goblin tongue, but whatever.
I dodged the slow attack of his mace, before sidestepping and slashing the goblin's right arm off.
Green, disgusting blood erupted.
His chopped off arm was flung off into the distance, leaving behind a trail of green.
And with the mace being too heavy to hold with just one arm, it was flung off in another direction.
"KEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!"
The goblin screamed in so much pain that I felt my ears ringing.
With this, I can confirm that this skill can indeed be used for torture purposes.
I looked at my arm, which was still draped in a faint, pulsing gold mana.
I won, without suffering a single injury.
And to be honest, this fight wasn't even that hard.
Just time consuming and very meticulous, where a single misstep would cripple me.
My right hand swung reflexively, slicing the screaming goblin's neck cleanly.

Finally, level 7.
I chose not to allocate my stats, pushing the total additional points to 8.
"Reverse senses, hehe. Do you like it, Clay?"
I turned to my left and watched as Eva and Claire stepped into the light out of darkness.
Eva was giggling, while Claire was looking at me with narrowed eyes.
"Why did you chose that skill? It is too difficult to scale for you. You should've chosen the passive instead." Claire suggested calmly, not letting a single emotion show.
Though looking closely, I could see a faint blush on her face.
How cute.
"I thought using the skill slot on that passive would be a waste." I shook my head.
I can't just tell that this skill is perfect for me since my magic was 10x.
Her doubts were valid, since it was known that men barely have any stats in their magic.
Wait–
Men barely had magic?
Then how was Klaus a mage…?
That question didn't even pop into my mind before.
But now that I think about it, it was weird. Was there another way to raise the magic stat for men?
"Passive don't take a skill slot, idiot. The slot is only for active skills." Eva chuckled while cancelling the status armour skill from me.
WHAT?!
I had no idea!
I thought a skill was skill, be it active or passive.
"Did you not even know that, and still wanted to dive into the labyrinth carelessly?" Claire gave me a look meant for idiots.
Cut me some slack, guys. I was barely 3-4 hours old into this world, how was I supposed to know all that?
I just found as much information as I could from the net, and then dived straight into the labyrin… okay yeah, maybe I was too careless.
I looked at her apologetically, not knowing what else to say or do.
Though, I did ask the burning question on my mind.
"Is there another way to raise the magic stat? I saw Klaus using magic just fine."
Claire and Eva exchanged a look, and then Claire sighed deeply.
"I guess we will need to do it as well, considering you picked a skill that scales with magic." she muttered.
"Aww, are you sure you don't want to help just so his skill can work even better for you?" Eva teased while bumping Claire's shoulder, only to shut up with one cold, angry glare.
"There are a few ways to raise the magic, of course." Claire said, "But they can be a little expensive.
One of the most common ways is to buy some superior mana potions.
For someone with low magic, they can grant magic stats.
Though, the person will normally build resistance to it after 5-10 potions. It's just a starter gimmick to give some boost to men, who can't gain much stats into magic normally."
That makes sense.
It would be impossible not to have some ways to avoid the worldly nerf on men, though it was just a small and starter gimmick, as Claire said.
These methods won't work after leveling up a decent bit.
With this information at hand, I felt good about my class once again.
At least it was better than Klaus's magician class!
