Chapter 94: The Spirit Hall's Dark Day
The spirit masters of the Spirit Hall had fallen into panic. They could all feel the suffocating presence of an overwhelmingly powerful aura, and many rushed to the central plaza.
"The Clear Sky Hammer! That's the Clear Sky Hammer!"
The Spirit Hall branch in Nuoding City did indeed have a Titled Douluo—Blind Douluo Su Yuntao.
Standing in the plaza outside the hall, Su Yuntao, his partner Lilith, and the Grandmaster-level spirit master Matthew Nuo—who had once helped Tang San register his spirit—stared up in sheer terror at the sky.
Overhead, the colossal Clear Sky Hammer radiated murderous intent, pressing down on the entire Spirit Hall like an endless storm.
Its spirit power rolled through the air like thunderclouds in a tempest.
"It's over… The Clear Sky Sect has truly come for revenge! And they have seven Titled Douluo!"
"Report this to the higher-ups immediately!" one terrified soul shouted.
"Spirit Hall—DIE!"
The enraged Tang Hao finally snapped.
The black dragon descended from the heavens.
Instantly, the air above Nuoding City warped under the crushing might of the hammer's domain.
All within the Spirit Hall—frozen in place, trapped by his killing intent—could not even move.
The hammer fell.
The grand dome of the Spirit Hall, once towering tens of meters high, was obliterated to dust in an instant.
The Nuoding Spirit Hall was annihilated; every inhabitant perished. Not even the blind Titled Douluo survived.
Only then did Tang Hao's blood-red eyes regain some clarity.
Nuoding was the Spirit Hall closest to Ah Yin's hiding place.
In his fury, it was the natural target for his wrath.
"No... It's not enough to destroy only Nuoding's Spirit Hall. I can't let them trace this back to Xiao San.
Since I've acted, there's no turning back."
A chilling gleam flashed through his eyes, and with ruthless resolve, Tang Hao ravaged the surrounding provinces.
That day would forever be remembered by Spirit Hall as the Dark Day.
Nine Spirit Hall branch temples were wiped off the map.
More than five hundred spirit masters lay dead.
The devastation was immense—and combined with the rumors already sweeping the land of the Clear Sky Sect "flattening the Spirit Hall,"
news of this carnage spread like wildfire across the continent.
After the massacre, Tang Hao understood the consequences. Without a word, he vanished into shadow, heading toward the Clear Sky Sect.
He feared retaliation against his clan.
What he didn't know was that after rumors had surfaced of the seven Titled Douluo, the sect had already suffered Spirit Hall's retaliation.
They had been sealed—none allowed in or out.
Spirit Hall, too, had begun its own purge.
Officials and soldiers who managed the hunting forests were all slaughtered.
Bibi Dong's fury matched his own. In this pivotal time of consolidating her rule and strengthening the Hall, she could not permit the Clear Sky Sect to reemerge.
Both sides burned with rage—heaven's thunder had struck the earth's flame.
The conflict was escalating without end.
The entire continent's balance was shifting rapidly—all because of two deliberate manipulations by Dugu Feng.
At a supply town on the edge of the Star Dou Forest, inside a modest hotel room—
After several days of stillness, the energy around Dugu Feng's body finally settled.
"Level thirty-six," he murmured with satisfaction. His spirit power had risen by two levels.
He recalled Tang San absorbing this same spirit bone—the Blue Silver Emperor's right leg bone had helped him open his meridians, but hadn't increased his level.
Yet his own body now pulsed with energy, perfectly attuned to heaven and earth.
His meridians were completely open; his internal circulation felt boundless.
It made sense.
From age four, the energy of the spirit orbs and the torment of poison refining had honed his body beyond comparison—his foundation far surpassed Tang San's.
For him, opening all eight extraordinary meridians was natural.
The two-level boost was merely an added reward.
After all, at Spirit King level, even a fraction of the Blue Silver Emperor's power could push him farther.
Sensing his master's movement, the twin Jade Serpent Dragons stirred—one wrapped its tail gently around Dugu Feng's wrist.
Smiling faintly, Dugu Feng stood up, stretching his limbs.
A refreshing wave coursed through him.
"Master," came a voice from outside.
"Come in, Elder Scorpion," Dugu Feng replied.
Elder Scorpion entered, balancing a tray of steaming dishes.
"Young Master, you must be exhausted from training. These are the local specialties—please eat."
He laid out the plates of meat across the table.
Dugu Feng didn't stand on ceremony.
Between bites, he calmly asked, "Any news from outside?"
Elder Scorpion grinned slyly. "Hehe, Young Master, the whole world's in chaos!
Word from the clan says Spirit Hall has made its move.
Two of their Titled Douluo struck directly—executing many imperial officers and troops who managed the hunting forests.
They've officially warned the Heaven Dou royal family and all major factions: anyone aiding the Clear Sky Sect is now an enemy of Spirit Hall and will face their wrath.
And rumors say the Pope herself has led a force of Titled Douluo out of Spirit City.
She's vanished for two months now—likely headed straight for the Clear Sky Sect!"
Mid-bite through a chunk of braised meat, Dugu Feng froze momentarily.
"So Bibi Dong made such a move already?"
"Two months, Young Master," Elder Scorpion confirmed. "If she truly aimed to destroy the sect, it'd already be done by now."
Dugu Feng nodded thoughtfully.
"The Clear Sky Sect's fortress lies deep among the mountains—hard to attack, easy to defend.
With their multiple Titled Douluo, a direct assault would be costly.
Bibi Dong's plan must be to blockade the sect completely—or lure its people out."
Elder Scorpion agreed, and Dugu Feng smiled faintly. It made sense. Bibi Dong was still undergoing her divine trials; her power wasn't at peak.
She wouldn't risk a full-scale war yet.
With the Elder Hall under her control and Qian Daoliu ruling the Worship Hall, if she lost too much power, she could lose her position.
"By the way, Young Master, another event just happened!"
Elder Scorpion's tone turned grave.
"Near Nuoding City, several Spirit Hall branches were attacked—wiped out, no survivors. Witnesses saw a black dragon descend from the sky. Some say it was the Clear Sky Hammer itself.
Many suspect the Clear Sky Sect struck first!"
His eyes flickered with curiosity.
Because somehow, he suspected this must be related to his Young Master.
After all, Dugu Feng had been near Nuoding City recently, and not long after he left, this calamity occurred.
His thoughts buzzed like restless claws of curiosity.
Dugu Feng laughed aloud, unbothered.
"Then it must've been Tang Hao—the infamous Clear Sky Douluo. When he strikes, it's never ordinary."
"Tang Hao?" Elder Scorpion's eyes widened.
That name alone was legend. Though of similar age, he—merely a Spirit Sage—was far beneath that mythic figure.
"The one you've been tracking, Tang San, is his son," Dugu Feng continued calmly.
"Tang San studies at Shrek Academy now. Naturally, Tang Hao guards him from the shadows.
While he watched over his son, I paid a visit to his home—and planted evidence blaming the Spirit Hall.
How could he not rage? How could he not strike?
Hahaha!"
He threw back his head, laughing, devouring another mouthful of meat.
Elder Scorpion gaped, speechless.
"Tang Hao's son… Young Master, your courage… it's beyond reason! Aren't you afraid of him finding out?"
For a moment, he shivered at the thought.
If Tang Hao hadn't gone to Shrek as expected—if things had gone slightly differently—it could've cost their lives.
He had thought his Young Master overly ambitious.
Now, he realized—Dugu Feng's daring was something far greater: pure audacity wrapped in genius.
