Chapter 75 - Chapter 75: Grandpa, Dugu Feng Bullied Me!

Chapter 75: Grandpa, Dugu Feng Bullied Me!

"Shout with me—Dugu Feng will win! Dugu Feng will win!"

Up in the stands, Ning Rongrong suddenly stood, her voice loud and commanding.

She seemed more excited than Dugu Feng himself.

Feng Ling, Feng Li, and the other junior academy students instantly obeyed her cue.

"Defeat Yu Tianheng! Dugu Feng will win!"

Their voices rose higher and higher until they roared in perfect unison.

The senior academy students, who had come to cheer for Yu Tianheng, turned to glare at them.

But the moment they saw the leader was Ning Rongrong, their resistance vanished.

One after another, they joined in the chant.

Within moments, the whole arena echoed with Ning Rongrong's rhythm, drowning out Yu Tianheng's supporters entirely.

Dugu Yan's face darkened as worry spread through her.

Not just because of the crowd's shouts, but because the duel itself wasn't going the way she expected.

Yu Tianheng had already used both his second spirit skill, Thunderfall, and his third, Thunder's Wrath, yet he hadn't crushed Dugu Feng as planned.

She knew well how lethal Dugu Feng's poisons were. A prolonged fight was dangerous—his toxins would soon take effect. Had Yu Tianheng already lost?

Beside her, Ye Lingling could only smile wryly.

She also knew the truth—Dugu Yan had intended to accept Yu Tianheng's pursuit.

But she'd chosen the worst way possible to stage it—dragging Dugu Feng into things for her petty resentment.

Now the situation had spun out of control.

Dugu Feng was steady and cunning; if he'd acted, it surely wasn't without reason.

Ye Lingling frowned in thought. Could he have planned this?

On the battle stage, lightning and poison intertwined.

Sparks of electricity flickered across Dugu Feng's body, the shocks paralyzing his limbs slightly.

Across from him, Yu Tianheng wasn't faring well either. A faint purple hue spread across his skin—poison invasion.

He was forced to channel massive amounts of lightning energy inward to purge the toxins.

The fact that Dugu Feng could still stand within the paralysis left Yu Tianheng completely alarmed.

How is he still holding on?

He didn't know that Dugu Feng's toughness came from his external soul bone and Dan Pearl—both channeling the lightning safely away.

"Yu Tianheng," Dugu Feng's cold voice cut through the crashes of energy, "it's over."

"Poison Explosion Technique!"

His second spirit ring flared with eerie light.

Yu Tianheng's body convulsed as muffled cracking sounds came from within.

The lightning surrounding his body suddenly vanished like smoke.

"You've lost."

Dugu Feng stood calm amidst the dissipating sparks. The venom had done its work long before. If he'd wanted Yu Tianheng dead, the poison could have ended it already.

Yu Tianheng staggered, barely able to stay upright.

From the edge of the arena, Dugu Yan bolted forward.

"Get over here and heal him!" she yelled.

"Yan, I've lost," Yu Tianheng said coldly, his pride burned away. "I won't pursue you again. You can focus on your cultivation."

Anger and embarrassment simmered beneath his voice.

He realized too clearly—Dugu Yan knew Dugu Feng's true strength.

Calling him to fight here was no accident.

You wanted me to lose intentionally!

So this was how she rejected him—in front of the entire academy.

"You could have just said no," he thought bitterly. "Did you have to humiliate me?"

Today was the most shameful day of Yu Tianheng's life.

Dugu Feng smiled slightly and waved his hand. The Jade Dragon Serpents appeared, releasing a faint emerald light that neutralized the poison inside Yu Tianheng.

"Sister, I didn't disappoint you."

"Shut up! I'll have Grandpa kill you!"

Dugu Yan's fury exploded. Her eyes glowed icy cold as she shot him a death glare.

"Pfft—!"

Yu Tianheng suddenly vomited a mouthful of black blood.

"Dugu Yan, stop pretending!" he roared hoarsely. "Wasn't it you who told him to fight me?

You asked him for this duel!

I wasn't good enough, I lost—fine.

But in your eyes, am I just some power-hungry fool? A man who can't take a hint?

Dugu Yan, from today on—I won't chase you another step."

He staggered upright and walked away from the stage, his back straight, lonely, and full of quiet despair.

The arena fell utterly silent.

No one dared laugh.

They'd come expecting a romantic performance, and instead witnessed heartbreak and humiliation on full display.

Nervous whispers rippled, but no one dared speak aloud; neither Yu Tianheng nor Dugu Yan was a person to cross.

"Sister, I'll take my leave. I need to train," Dugu Feng said quietly, satisfaction flickering in his eyes.

Mission accomplished.

He turned and vaulted off the stage, moving swiftly down the mountain toward the city.

Behind him, Dugu Yan stood motionless for a long time before tears welled up and fell.

She hadn't meant for this—had only wanted Dugu Feng to be embarrassed.

How had it turned into this disaster?

Her shoulders shook as she cried.

"Grandpa… Dugu Feng bullied me!" she wailed. "He bullied me!"

Sobbing, she ran from the arena.

Ye Lingling could only sigh, hurrying after her. "Yan, you really got yourself into trouble this time…"

Meanwhile, Dugu Feng sped back to the Dugu estate.

Ruining any prospect between Dugu Yan and Yu Tianheng had been his plan the moment she targeted him.

He wouldn't let her feel triumphant a second longer.

And with Yu Yuanzhen's suspicious dealings with their family, Dugu Feng couldn't allow any deeper link to form between them.

If they allied, the Dugu Family's secrets would no longer be its own.

At the ancestral hall, he found his father meditating.

"Father, there was a spirit battle today at the Royal Academy," Dugu Feng began. "Yu Tianheng used it to confess publicly to Dugu Yan…"

He recounted everything that happened.

Dugu Shuo's face hardened. "Your second uncle has spoiled Yan far too much. She could never truly be with Yu Tianheng.

You did well, Feng'er.

I'll go to your uncle myself and set things straight!"

Before Dugu Feng could speak, his father had already risen and marched toward the door.

"Father, wait—let me go with you," Dugu Feng offered quickly.

"You stay here. Don't worry," Dugu Shuo said firmly. "Our family's strength is its own shield. Even your uncle won't dare cross me now."

Without another word, he left.

Elsewhere, in another Dugu manor—

Crying filled the hall, each sob sharp as knife wounds.

Dugu Yan knelt before her grandfather, face red with anger and tears.

"Grandpa, kill him! I want him dead!"

Dugu Bo patted her trembling shoulders, his heart aching. This was the first time his granddaughter had cried so uncontrollably since Dugu Xin's death.

"Don't worry, my dear," he said grimly. "I'll bring that boy here myself. You'll have your revenge."

The old poison master's voice was ice.

He wasn't one to forgive insults.

Whoever dared make his granddaughter cry—even family—would pay the price.

Still, even Dugu Bo didn't truly intend to kill Dugu Feng.

He just meant to teach the boy some unforgettable pain.
