Chapter 269: One Punch, One Admiral—Kizaru Turned Into a Lightbulb!
Science Island
It was now around 8–9 PM. A silver crescent moon rose into the sky.
Under its light, six warships lined up along the shore, blanketed by a frosty white glow.
Everything was quiet on deck. Not a soul stirred—except one figure seated at the edge of the middle ship, facing the island.
That figure was Luo Han, freshly arrived from Evernight City.
"They're here."
After sitting for a while, Luo Han smirked. Through his spiritual sense, he felt Sengoku and the others approaching quickly—they were eager to leave.
Meanwhile—
Sengoku and the CP0 Chief walked at the front, followed by the CP0 captains, Vice Admiral Tsuru, Kizaru, and others.
Vegapunk and the scientists were surrounded by Marines and CP0 agents, walking behind the leaders.
"Hm…"
Before they even reached the shore, the CP0 Chief stopped in his tracks. His Observation Haki sensed something off.
"All personnel left to guard the coast are unconscious."
"An ambush?"
Sengoku's eyes narrowed as a certain figure flashed in his mind. A surge of Haki burst from him.
"Who is it?!"
Everyone turned to the CP0 Chief, who shook his head. "I can't detect any enemy presence."
Can't detect—
Not no enemies. That meant a special Devil Fruit user might be involved.
Sengoku quickly assessed the situation. As long as it wasn't that man, it should be fine.
He gave the order: "Let's proceed. Stay alert—don't get caught off guard!"
"Yes, sir!"
Everyone followed him to the shore.
Soon—
As they arrived, a voice drew all their attention.
"Yo, Sengoku!"
Luo Han, seated on the ship's edge, smiled. "It's been… what? Ten years?"
"He actually came in person?!"
Sengoku broke into a cold sweat. He barked to the Marines, "Everyone retreat over the mountain—leave the scientists behind!"
Then to Tsuru, he said, "Contact Commander Kong. Request reinforcements!"
His reaction stunned the Marines and CP0 alike.
They had an Admiral here! Plus CP0's elite!
Yet Sengoku was panicking?
Meanwhile, the CP0 Chief quietly contacted the Five Elders via Den Den Mushi.
"Yes, Your Excellency. We're abandoning the mission."
"…"
What did that mean?
The Marines and CP0 subordinates were completely baffled.
The fight hadn't even started—yet the Admiral was calling for backup, and CP0 was reporting to the Five Elders?
Then—
"Kill the scientists immediately!"
The CP0 Chief snapped. "If we can't secure them, we'll make sure he doesn't get them."
Blue Demon was unpredictable. Who knew what he'd do with the genetic blueprints?
"What?!"
The Marines hesitated. These weren't pirates—they were civilians. Scientists.
They looked to Sengoku and Tsuru—but both remained silent.
Perhaps this was the best option.
Sengoku couldn't afford to lose another comrade. Especially not Tsuru. If something happened to her, Garp would never forgive him.
The CP0 agents didn't hesitate.
Even as the Marines stalled, they moved in on Vegapunk's group and launched their attacks.
CLANG!
Their punches were blocked by an invisible shield—a telekinetic forcefield.
All the scientists were now protected.
"Blue Demon…"
The CP0 Chief paled. If they couldn't kill the scientists, he couldn't return.
The Five Elders' orders had been clear: kill Vegapunk and all the scientists, no matter what.
He turned to the others. "Everyone, attack together!"
The Marines, misunderstanding, raised their guns toward Luo Han.
Unfortunately—
Even Kizaru misread the order.
Sengoku, Tsuru, and the CP0 Chief turned and attacked the forcefield—trying to break through to kill Vegapunk.
Kizaru, meanwhile, zipped over to Luo Han in a flash of light and aimed a kick at his head.
With a smirk, he added, "Speed is weight, kid. Ever been kicked by light?"
That was the last thought Kizaru had… as a man.
The moment his kick neared, Luo Han's eyes narrowed. With a thought, he encased Kizaru in a telekinetic armor shell.
Then compressed it—into the size of a basketball.
Now, the future admiral was trapped in a glowing orb.
To avoid death, Kizaru had to stay in elemental form—otherwise, he'd be crushed into meat paste.
Bounce, bounce!
Luo Han casually juggled the glowing Kizaru-ball in his right hand.
The light of the Glint-Glint Fruit still shone through—but the physical body was trapped.
Inside the orb, Kizaru's terrified eyes peeked out—along with his mouth and ears.
He stared at Luo Han in horror.
BOOM!
Meanwhile, the others struck the forcefield. The resulting shockwave sent dust and Marines flying.
But when the smoke cleared—
The shield remained.
Sengoku frowned. "Where's Kizaru?!"
He exchanged a look with Tsuru, then turned to Luo Han.
They froze.
"Is… is that Kizaru?" Tsuru asked, pointing at the floating glowing orb Luo Han kept tossing.
"Probably…" Sengoku muttered, face darkening.
That idiot!
Charging in like that—did he think Luo Han was weak?
Was his admiral rank earned through sucking up?!
Fwoosh!
Luo Han flung the Kizaru-ball into the sky. It hovered a kilometer above, glowing like a second moon.
Fitting for the Glint-Glint Fruit.
When Luo Han adjusted the shell's transparency, Kizaru's light shone even brighter—outshining the actual moon and bathing Science Island in a golden hue.
Then—
Swish!
Luo Han reappeared in front of Sengoku and the others.
"You're the CP0 who used the energy shield at God Valley, right?" Luo Han asked the Chief. "I thought Rocks killed you."
"…"
The CP0 Chief said nothing.
Please… let me be lucky again, he thought.
Step, step, step…
Luo Han began walking toward Vegapunk.
Seeing him approach, the Marines hesitated. Sengoku's group hadn't attacked yet, so neither did they.
But Sengoku couldn't stay silent.
He couldn't let Luo Han take Vegapunk in front of everyone like this.
BOOM!
He activated his Devil Fruit—transforming into the Buddha.
Tsuru raised her hands, readying her Devil Fruit as well.
The CP0 Chief and his men prepared to strike.
If Sengoku attacked—they'd all follow.
Sengoku didn't hesitate.
"DIE, LUO HAN!!"
The ten-meter golden giant lunged forward and punched down with advanced Armament Haki.
Luo Han smiled. With a thought, he teleported above Sengoku's head.
"Nation Buster."
The words whispered in Sengoku's ear.
Almost simultaneously, Luo Han struck—unleashing the "Elbaf Spear" with Perfect Armament Haki.
Zzzzt!
A sharp impact rang out.
The attack pierced straight through Sengoku's chest and slammed into the ground—
BOOM!
Creating a ten-meter crater.
Above it, Sengoku's giant form twisted and shrank—returning to human size.
He plummeted into the pit, bleeding but alive.
"SENGOKU!!!" Tsuru screamed and dove in after him.
"Attack!!"
The CP0 Chief and three CP0 captains lunged at Luo Han.
But Luo Han, now clad in one-meter-thick Perfect Armament Haki, ignored the others and targeted the CP0 Chief.
CLANG!
The Chief's energy shield flared—his last hope.
He thought it might buy enough time for the others to strike.
One of his teammates had a one-hit kill power. If they landed even a scratch, they'd win.
But…
CRACK!
Luo Han's punch shattered the shield like paper.
CLANG! SNAP!
Even the Chief's Armament Haki shattered instantly.
BOOM!
Luo Han's punch drove into his gut, his eyes bulging from the force.
In an instant—
The CP0 Chief shot through a hill like a laser beam and plunged into the sea.
