Saturday had arrived and Ethan was enjoying it in the garden of the Xavier institute.
The garden, which stretched through every corner of the institute, was a beautiful landscape to admire, covered with trees, flowers and majestic plants, a pleasant environment that conveyed a calm that Ethan did not know he needed.
And along with that, today there was also a comforting cold breeze that just made everything better for Ethan. That calmness made him feel more relaxed than ever.
Most of the students were in the cafeteria enjoying their lunch break. Others were scattered around the garden, but in areas further away from Ethan, as well as he wanted.
Ethan still wasn't in the mood to interact with anyone, not until he solved his problems.

His fusion rate was still increasing, but Ethan noticed that now the speed had visibly decreased. Whatever was affecting him before, it seemed that now it was losing effect.
This made him a little relaxed, but he would still continue to investigate what was affecting his fusion rate. But for now, he would just let it pass.
Ethan also planned to start training his powers soon. He had already gained a considerable amount of information about powers and creative ways to use them. But mainly, he was thinking about using his powers the same way the Sonic franchise characters did.
A very useful and very funny thing he discovered is that Sonic comics existed in this universe and were exactly the same as his old world (or that's what he thought, after all he had never read Sonic comics). So Ethan, as anyone with common sense in his situation would do, started researching the characters' lore and other things about Chaos.
Obviously he researched mainly about Enerjak.
Although the information about Enerjak was also not of great help. He was exactly as the system had described, a god with the powers of the Chaos Force who had people who served as a channel so that he could interact with the normal world.
Despite taking notes about some interesting powers that the former Enerjak hosts used, Ethan knew that it would still take him to reach a level of power high enough to do the same as them.
For now Ethan would only focus on the simplest powers, such as telepathy and telekinesis, which he had difficulty developing before. After that, he would begin to expand his range of skills until he reached the most interesting powers.
But that would be later. His classes would start on Monday, so today would be one of the last days he would have to rest. And after spending the rest of the week just investigating and researching things from that universe, Ethan just relax.
Even if he still had that part of his mind saying that he shouldn't be ' slacking off ' like that. Probably another trace of Enerjak.
Ethan was with his back resting on the tree trunk, taking advantage of the shade it gave him and enjoying the breeze with his eyes closed.
But when he thought he could enjoy that beautiful day without doing anything, his bad luck decided to attack with full force at once.
Ethan felt a touch on his shoulder. And it wasn't a simple touch, it was almost a push with the intention of making him fall. Obviously he opened his eyes to see who was the idiot who didn't know what personal space was.
What he saw was a somewhat strange character.
White hair, blue eyes and clearly albino. Not the kind of person you expect to meet every day. Ethan stared at that less than ordinary figure for a few seconds.
"I must say, you're a very strange guy" The first thing that came out of that manga character's mouth was an obvious mockery.
"Excuse me? " Ethan got up and faced that guy, who was the same height as him.
" You spend your days in the library, don't talk with anyone, purposely moves away from anyone who gets close to you" The albino kept listing things he found strange about Ethan " Besides that no one knows what your power is "
Ethan kept paying attention to that guy. He didn't know why, but his instincts told him that he should stay away from him, that the albino in front of him was unreliable.
Not necessarily a danger or risk to his life, but simply someone he should stay far away from.
It was a strange feeling, but Ethan knew it was 100% true.
"Hey, no prejudice, I'm also a weird guy. But you exceed all the limits I know " The albino laughed at his own joke while Ethan kept looking at him.
Then the albino disappeared. Not like Kurt's teleportation, the albino ran, no, or rather, he accelerated from where he was, took a few laps around the tree and stopped right next to Ethan, who was very impressed with what he had just seen.
" Pietro Maximoff, that's what they call me " He introduced himself giving a wink to Ethan " But if you want, you can call me Quicksilver "
Ethan had no words to describe how he was feeling now.
On the one hand, he was impressed with Pietro's speed and curious about what else he could do. On the other hand, his instincts still told him to stay away from him.
"Do I like what you saw? No need to lie, I know the answer is yes " The albino said while resting his arm on Ethan's shoulder " This is my thing, you know? I'm fast, very fast. So fast that I can make everyone in this little school eat dust without even trying "
"What do you want with me? " Ethan asked while giving some steps to get away from the albino.
Pietro just laughed at what he thought was fear or shyness.
"Well, as I said before, you're weird. And I like strange things, so I don't need to explain much " Said the speedster shrugging his shoulders " But being honest... "
In an instant, Pietro was facing Ethan. Face to face, with their faces a few centimeters from each other.
Ethan didn't even had time to react.
"I saw my sister looking at you in a way... unusual for someone like her, so I'm curious to know more about you..." The albino replied, looking deep into Ethan's eyes.
"Your sister? " Ethan didn't remember meeting anyone similar to the albino in front of him. In fact, apart from the X-men who were also the teachers, he didn't know anyone there.
"Yes, my sister" In the same way that appeared in front of him, in the blink of an eye Pietro walked away from Ethan and returned to the place where he was "A goth baddie with a strange necklace "
Oh... so it was her.
"You don't need to make that face, it's not like I'm going to beat you up. Well, maybe not now... " Pietro let out another laugh at his joke " I'm really interested in you, and I think my sister too "
Before he could say anything, the sound of the institute's bell was present at the place, signaling the beginning of classes.
"My time to leave. I can't be late or Mrs. Ororo will lecture me again. Kind of ironic that someone with super speed is always late, don't you think? " Pietro said with a smile.
"Well, if you want to have fun with me and some friends and see some cool things, meet me tomorrow night here in this tree, okay? "
Before Ethan could answer, Pietro accelerated and disappeared from his vision, leaving only a residual image that disappeared seconds later.
Ethan just sighed. Not even when he wanted to rest did he have peace.
But he would be there tomorrow night. Something said he shouldn't lose whatever would happen tomorrow.
